Stockwell Man's Workplace Grudge Leads to London Attack

0:00On March 10, a 36-year-old man from Stockwell, named Javier de Brito-Jardim, carried out a violent attack on his former colleague in the city of London on December 1, 2024. He wrapped himself in a bedsheet as a disguise before ambushing the victim at his workplace with an iron bar, punches, and kicks. The victim managed to escape and call police, but he suffered a fractured skull and a small brain bleed that required surgery. Jardim had been laying and waiting near poultry on Cannon Street after arriving by bus. The attack stemmed from a workplace grudge. Jardim had received a warning in mid-November for drinking on the job and believed the victim had reported him, leading to his dismissal a week later. The victim recalled Jardim ominously saying, you will see after he asked if something was wrong. CCTV cameras captured Jardim's every move, from his ghostly disguise to flaying the scene with the sheet toward London Bridge. He pleaded guilty to grieve his bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon, landing a four and a half year prison sentence in February 20, 26.
