STEM on Track: Jersey's Inclusive Go-Kart Racing

0:00On April 25th, the STEM on track program is firing up more kids across Jersey with hands-on go-card action. Students design, build, and even market their own cards before racing them on a real Formula One track. Started by staff at Houtloo College, it's exploding in popularity, and now opening up to Moe Alabe's school for kids with special educational needs. Next year, Hot List students rode out demos from Moe Alabe Cruz sparking big excitement. 17-year-old ZAC, and 18-year-old Ronaldo from the school are jumping in, with ZAC eyeing electronic engineering and dreaming of crafting, his own card. These teens are buzzing about the real world skills. Maja, a 17-year-old from Hotloo, calls it a CV booster in a small island spot with few chances.
