It's March 9th, here's your NFL news in two minutes. Subscribe to Stay Locked in All Season. The Green Bay Packers lost another key player, early in free agency talks. Defensive in Kingsley and Agberi agreed to a one-year deal worth $10 million with the New York Jets on Monday afternoon. Enig Barri spent four seasons with the Packers after they drafted him in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He appeared in every game possible, talling 11.5 sacks and three force fumbles in a solid rotational roll. This move sets a benchmark for the Packers as they eye outside free agents. Enig Barri ranks as their fifth highest paid departure this off season. Meanwhile, Green Bay stands to gain up to four compensatory draft picks from other losses, like Malik Willis, Rashid Walker, Ki Walker, and Romeo. The Packers could now sign an external player to a deal of $10 million annually. That would offset only Enig Barri's exit and preserve eligibility for those four extra picks.

Over in New York, Enig Barri has a clear shot and more snaps. The Jets just traded edge-rusher Jermaine Johnson to the Tennessee Titans for nose tackle to Vondray Sweat, opening a potential starting spot. His short-term contract positions him for a big breakout and a larger payday next year. This story is made possible by our sponsor. It looks like a pillow. It sounds like headphones.
