The Pittsburgh Steelers have their eyes on a wide receiver. That is the hands down without question biggest takeaway from the NFL Combine. If you leave Indianapolis, you come back to Pittsburgh and your mind is set in stone. It is going to be a wide receiver early in the NFL draft. I'm not totally sure it's a first round wide receiver. A lot of things are going to change between now and the end of April. But it is so hard to believe that this team is not going to be locked in on if it's not a first round, a second round wide out to add to their roster. And I think more importantly, I truly believe that the Pittsburgh Steelers favorite in round one is a wide receiver. And there are a few names to watch. But there's one dark horse name, one name floating around that keeps getting brought up

when you talk about the Steelers and their first round selection. One name that I have been told is easily a dark horse, a name that could slide into pick 21. And surprise everybody, even if other big names are left on the board, when the Steelers are up. That name may surprise some, may excite others, but the Steelers have their eyes on them. And they might go get them when this thing starts. What's going on everybody? I'm Noah Stratman. Denzel Boston, McCuy Lemmon, Carnell Tate, Jordan Tyson, all names that are on the Steelers radar, all names that it would not surprise anybody if they ended up in Pittsburgh with the 21st pick in the NFL draft. But let me toss out another name for you, and we'll go stats first. 69 receptions, 937 yards, 13 touchdowns. The year before he had just 28 receptions for 594 yards, he averaged a nation high 21.2 yards per reception with seven touchdowns. He caught 28 passes, and seven of them were touchdowns.

That is crazy impressive. He's a national champion. His quarterbacks going to go first overall, and he might go 21 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. All week long, the name that was floating around Pittsburgh, and I am not exaggerating this at all, all week long. He just kept hearing the name Omar Cooper Jr., a dark horse for Pittsburgh, a dark horse for the Steelers to make his way into the first round, right at the end of the first round, and be a guy that could be selected over names that are expected to be there. They have the big four in the NFL draft, Carnell Tate, Jordan Tyson, McCuy Lemmon, and Denzel Boston. Those are expected to be one, two, three, four right off the board. One of them expected to go top 10, maybe two of them, top 15, maybe three of them before the Steelers are even on the clock. Monster energy.

Everybody knows white monster, zero ultra. That's the OG. It kicked off this whole zero sugar energy drink thing, but ultra is a whole lineup now. We've got strawberry dreams, blue Hawaiian, sunrise, and vice guava, and they all bring the monster energy punch. So if you've been living in the white can, branch out. Ultra's got a flavor for every five, and every single one is zero sugar. Tap the banner to learn more. President Barack Obama. Virginia, we are counting on you. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years. But you can stop them by voting yes, by April 21st. Help put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians. Vote yes, by April 21st. Paid for five Virginians for fair elections. I wouldn't be surprised if the fourth off the board is Omar Cooper if that scenario happened.

If the stealer sat there and said, we want a guy who's got size, who's got speed, who is being very overlooked in a very deep draft class. And I say it all the time. As this thing gets rolling, as you start to begin the scouting process, we learn so much, but so much changes. You head into it with preconceived notions. You head into it with your mindset, your draft order, your expectations. And then you leave it and buy the end of April when that first pick is up. You're sitting there going, this is not at all what I anticipated from the Steelers. This is not at all what I anticipated from the rest of the NFL. Things changed so drastically. And at the wide receiver position, we have the four big names. I hear that. You could go back a couple of years ago when Brian Thomas Jr. was being talked about as

a potential guy to outleap Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik neighbors. That for some reason, the other LSU guy was making his way up the board, but then he fell. Omar Cooper seems to be that name right now. The guy that could leap frog a lot of people that could make his way into the first round. But he's not going to go that high. He's not going to go 10. He's not going to go 15. I think the beginning of this is 21 with the Steelers. I truly do. And I would not be surprised if Pittsburgh sat there and they took him. This off season is scattered right now. Everybody anticipates an early wide receiver in the NFL draft. I also anticipate that, but I don't think that's the first time they add a wide receiver to their wide receiver room. I clearly see a need in free agency because Roman Wilson is great. Don't get me wrong. But if you ask Aaron Rodgers, he's not. If he asked the Pittsburgh Steelers, he's not getting activated. It's DK Metcalf and Ben Scoronick right now and you need somebody else. So you're going to go get that somebody else in free agency. You're going to go find a Juan Dale Robinson. You're going to go find a Romeo dobs in free agency. You're going to go get that other wide out who could be a two or could be a three, depending on how you view them.

And then from there, it's very simply, how do we find a guy with the most upside at pick 21? Not a guy that comes in here as an immediate superstar, but a guy who has the upside to become a superstar. Omar Cooper Jr is widely considered a guy who could become a superstar who has all the skills, size, speed and strength to become a superstar in the NFL. I think the Steelers are considering big splashy moves at wide receiver. Potential trades up. I think there are all four of the big four names on the Steelers board. And I would not be surprised if any of the four end up in Pittsburgh. I wouldn't. I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers made a move up for any of the four to end up in Pittsburgh. But when it's all said and done, I view the Steelers game plan right now.

As we are going to sit there. And unless we are totally blown away by a carnal tape. We are going to accept what comes. And what comes are going to be options like Denzel Boston, maybe McKay Lemon and Omar Cooper Jr. And Omar Cooper Jr. is the name to watch the dark horse in this class. A guy who I truly think ends up being just as good. If not better than some of these other names in the draft. The guy with the ton of speed 4.4 to 40, a 37 inch vertical at six feet tall. He's got experience. He's good in the run game. He's worked on a tough physical offense. And you're telling me that when Mike McCarthy calls Kurt Signetti and says, Hey, pal, give me the run down to your top wide receiver.

He's not going to give him a glowing review. One that sticks in the head of the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. It all makes sense. And right now the dark horse in Pittsburgh is a very clear name. It is Omar Cooper Jr. And there's a long way to go. A lot of things could change. A lot of things will change, believing the NFL combine, combine, coming back to Pittsburgh and preparing for free agency. That's the name to watch for sure.
