Steelers Face Challenge in Re-signing CB James Pierre

Pittsburgh Steelers fans might have some anxious days ahead as the team eyes residing cornerback James Pierre. This promising defender is hitting free agency and reports say eight to nine other teams are circling with interest. The Steelers see him as a key piece after his strong play last season. Pierre first joined Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent back in 2020. He stuck around for four years before trying his luck with the Washington commanders in 2024. He didn't make their main roster though and came back to the Steelers on the practice squad in mid-September. What a turnaround it was. Pierre stepped up big on defense earning high marks from analysts. Pro football, focus even ranked him as the number two cornerback leaguewide last year. Now with so much competition, the Steelers face a real challenge. Stating offers could give pricey, but keeping him might be worth it to maintain that defensive
