Tune in Monday, March 23rd, 9 p.m. Eastern on ESPN 2, and Tuesday, March 24th, 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN and on the ESPN app. If I'm the Pittsburgh Steelers, I still have two free agents on my mind at bare minimum
that I think come in here and make an immediate impact. And if you're somebody who has their eyes set on a certain position in the NFL draft, if you believe the Pittsburgh Steelers should be targeting, let's say a wide receiver with the 21st pick in the first round, these two names actually help because the Steelers have holes. They still need to fill positions. And it's not the big giant glaring needs that they had two weeks ago. You're not sitting here saying the Pittsburgh Steelers still don't have a number two wide receiver or a number two corner. The Steelers still don't know who they're starting safety is going to be. No, the Steelers did a lot of good things, some great things. Truthfully, in free agency. Now it's about finding the missing pieces in this third wave. And there are still some names in this third wave that I think you could take a shot on and feel pretty good about it.
And I have two of them that I think the Pittsburgh Steelers should go after who provide exactly what the Steelers are looking for. They have a game plan. They have an understanding of what they have left to acquire. The Steelers are a team currently that, well, quite frankly, they believe that they have options. And maybe that's the case. But this adds competition from guys who have starting experience in the NFL. And I mean, if you're the Pittsburgh Steelers, that's what you should be looking at. Your little one grew three inches overnight. Adorable. Also expensive. Sell their pint-sized pieces on D-Pop and list them in minutes with no selling fees. Because somewhere, a dad refuses to pay full price for the clothes his kid will outgrow tomorrow.
And he's ready to buy your son's entire wardrobe right now. Consider your future growthspurt budget secured. Start selling on D-Pop, where taste recognizes taste. Pima processing fees and boosting fees still apply. See website for details. They say you should learn something new every day. Like how you should only drink Yeager Meister at zero degrees Fahrenheit. Ice cold. Like those frozen cavemen they find, which makes you wonder, what would a caveman think of Yeager Meister? Well, if you served it more, he'd probably throw it in your face, say, and storm off. And nobody wants that. So drink it cold or not at all? Yeager Meister. Damn. That's cold. You just possibly Yeager Meister, lakur. 35% alcohol by volume imported by Master. Yeager Meister US white planes New York. What's going on, everybody? I'm Noah Schrockbine. That is crazy to think about, and I can't thank you guys enough truthfully. The Pittsburgh Steelers have done so much in free agency. Michael Pittman, Jr. via Trade, Juquam Brisker, Darnell Savage, if he ever shows up, Sebastian Joseph Day, you name it, they went out and got it. They feel pretty much all of their missing pieces, all of their big holes in free agency. This team has two starting corners, two starting safeties, a nose tackle to work behind or in front of Keanu Benton. They have a starting wide receiver, and they have more holes to fill, obviously. They still need a third wide out. They could use probably another backup safety if Darnell Savage never shows up. They could probably use another defensive tackle somewhere.
They obviously need a quarterback. And then there's the offensive line. And that's where my direction is headed, is the Pittsburgh Steelers have options right now to add exactly what they're looking for in the offensive line. Because all off season long, the Pittsburgh Steelers sat around and said, we really do believe in Spencer Anderson. We think that Spencer Anderson could be a really good left guard, somebody who can start in the NFL, and we believe that maybe we're ready to give him that opportunity. President Barack Obama. Virginia, we are counting on you. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years. But you can stop them by voting yes by April 21st. Don't put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians. Vote yes by April 21st. Paid for by Virginians for fair elections. They've also said that they like Broderick Jones and Dylan Cook, and that while they're uncertain when Broderick Jones is going to come back from next surgery, they believe in him. They also believe in Dylan Cook who showed he is capable last season. I respect both of those opinions because the Pittsburgh Steelers would have picked up Broderick Jones' fifth year option if he was healthy and they would have given him one more shot, but he's not healthy.
And right now you don't know if he's going to come back during training camp after training camp and you could be left sitting there, July 30th and Dylan Cook is your only option at left tackle and that's just not feasible. That is not the answer for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And if you believe in Spencer Anderson, great, but you also need somebody to replace Spencer Anderson as a backup and you should have healthy competition to say, can Spencer Anderson beat out another starting quality left guard in the NFL? Is that possible? And I don't think either of the moves that I'm going to suggest override anything that the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to do. I think all that they do, all these suggestions do or these possible signings would do is give the Steelers exactly what they're looking for, competition, the opportunity to trust
the guys that they want to trust without tying themselves to somebody who may turn out not to be good or healthy or reliable. The two names that I would like to toss out here are right tackle slash offensive tackle to on Taylor and offensive guard, McCuy Beckton, Taylor is 28 years old, Beckton is 26. They both carry years of starting experience in the NFL, but they obviously, excuse me, do not have a market right now. We are at the point of free agency where Rashid Walker goes for up to $10 million. So nobody is sitting around anymore saying I'm going to get my superstar left tackle or my superstar left guard in free agency. You're sitting around saying, who can I get on the bargain market? Who can I bring in right now that is capable of starting, but doesn't really have those
giant ties? America leads the world in medicine development. It matters. We get new medicines first, nearly three years faster. Five million Americans go to work because we make medicines here at home and not relying on other countries keeps us safe, but China is racing to overtake us. Will we let them or will we choose to stay ahead? When America leads America cures, let's tell Washington to keep us in the lead. Learn how at americacures.com, paid for by pharma. The NFL draft is where teams who desperately need a guard or tackle are going to go because there are options early in the first round. Stealers are a team that don't desperately need either. They just need competition. And you're telling me that if you brought in macaque back then on a one year proven deal at 26 years old and said, you and Spencer Anderson are going to compete 50, 50 split for
the first half of camp. And then we will decide a clear cut winner or a clear cut leader and then somebody will be fighting from behind and somebody will be fighting from the front. That sounds great. That sounds like Spencer Anderson has an opportunity to beat somebody out who's been starting in the NFL, who's won a Super Bowl, but who clearly doesn't have the market right now that a lot of starting quality guards have who's coming off a down year. And if he's better than Spencer Anderson, great. If he's not better than Spencer Anderson, great. Either way, the Pittsburgh Steelers work out either way, the Pittsburgh Steelers have options that they do not have right now and options are always best. At tackle, it doesn't even matter if Taylor is going to compete against a broadrick Jones. Taylor comes in here to make sure that Dylan Cook has competition that the Pittsburgh Steelers are not tying themselves to Dylan Cook all summer long.
If broadrick Jones cannot go by training camp and then you walk into week one, Dylan Cook isn't the answer and you don't have another answer. You're going to put broadrick Jones out there after not practicing all summer and say you've shown us enough in the last three years to give you a fourth. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Taylor comes in here and just simply adds competition for Dylan Cook and hopefully broadrick Jones. More competition. Competition to say, hey, you got to be better than this guy and he's not even playing his natural position. Left tackle is harder to play than right tackle or offensive tackle. Let me say is harder to switch sides than any other position on the offensive line. To me, I think broadrick would have a real shot to win that competition. It's crazy. That sounds, but that's okay because what are you going to sign Juantaylor for? Nothing. Neither of them have a market value.
I mean, you look at a Juantaylor right now and his market value coming into free agency was 14.9 million dollars. There is a zero percent chance that his market is going to be 14.9 million dollars that just doesn't happen. You look at a guy like McCuy Bechton who has a 13.4 million dollar market value. You want to know what I would guess both of these guys go for a combined 10 million dollars between the two of them. It's cheap. It's easy. It's young and it gives you options that hopefully work out for worst case scenario. Sir Anderson, Betel and McCuy Bechton and broadrick Jones, Betel, Juan Taylor and maybe that's not worst case scenario anymore. Maybe that turns into best case scenario. Competition is key in the NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers don't have any of it on the offensive
line right now and they need some. So if you're sitting around saying that the Steelers shouldn't be going after an offensive lineman in the NFL draft, if you are somebody who's die hard set on a wide receiver or a safety or whatever, these two names make a lot of sense in Pittsburgh right now. And that's the third wave of free agency begins. Maybe they end up here.
