Stay focused to serve the Lord!

0:00And, hi, it's Rich at my senior citizen apartment. Let's stay focused as UNI served the Lord this year. And I was thinking what we're told in First Corinthians chapter 9, starting at verse 25, every man that strives for the mastery is temporary to all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. Yes, let's be temporary. Let's be self-control by God's grace, right? And it goes on to say, I therefore so run, not as uncertainly, so far, I not as one that beateth the arrow. We don't run around in circles. We run straight to Jesus and serve our Heavenly Father through Him, right? That's our straight course, the Jesus path. And it says in First Corinthians 9, 27, but I keep under my body and bring it into subjection list that I by any means, when I have preached others on myself, should be a castaway. First Corinthians 9, 27, I appreciate so much the

1:01Apostle Paul's example of being a true disciple of Jesus and following the Spirit of truth and the true gospel of Christ and the true Christ, right? And the true Holy Spirit. There are imitations out there, but there's the real deal, and you can read all about it in the New Testament. And this is the life we're going to live this year, right? And we're going to continue to look to Christ and to seek His grace to do it. And to get stronger and more consistent this way, I need to how about you? And remember when it comes to resisting Hebrews 12 4 says, you have not yet resisted unto blood, it's driving against sin, Hebrews 12 4. So let's look to our Lord. He has the example for you and me, and he has the power for you and me to overcome. And do you remember this, the Jesus loves you? And he is just a prayer away.
