South Carolina Women's Basketball: Final Four Bound?

0:00On March 16th, South Carolina's women's basketball team grabbed one of four number one seeds in the upcoming NCAA tournament. It's their sixth straight year as a top seed, and they'll head up regional four out of Sacramento, California. The good news for fans is the Gamecocks get to host their first two rounds, right at Colonial Life Arena. The action starts Saturday, March 21st, at 1pm on ABC, when South Carolina faces the winner of Thursday's first four matchup between Southern and Sanford. If they win, it's on to Monday, March 23rd, against either number eight Clemson or number nine Southern Cow. Both teams the Gamecocks beat, handily earlier this season. The team dominated all year, staying in the top five of the AP and coaches' polls. They clinched the South Eastern Conference regular season title with a 15-1 record, but fell to Texas 78-61 in the conference championship. Over the past five tournaments as a number one seed, South Carolina has reached the final four every time.
