Excited to have Casey Kelderman in the studio with me here. We're going to talk about a fun thing coming up. Pepper Entertainment has this on Thursday. It's called The Art of Music. First of all, how you doing, man? John, I'm doing great. I'm always good to talk. Good to talk. Now it's Casey with Pepper Entertainment. We've talked with you for some other things, but this is kind of a new venture-free, how long you've been there? Always moving and shaking. I'm going into two months now. I'm the fresh face. It looks good on you, man. Pepper Entertainment. I love this. Now, let's talk about The Art of Music. This was a brand new thing last year. We stopped and checked it out. It's really cool. For people who have no idea what the heck we're talking about, how do you describe what The Art of Music is? Yeah. Last year is The Art of Music. They featured a live painter at the event. Every year we try to change it up for something new and different. This year, at The Art of Music, we have over 10 local artists that put together over 20
original pieces just for this and all within the prompt of concert posters reimagined. Obviously, in the music space, music and concert posters are such a big thing. Oh, yeah. That's, I mean, for me, that's how I found out about a ton of concerts that I've gone to in the past. And so, yeah, we gave the prompt to these artists of, hey, find a concert. That's one of ours that we've done, something you want to see in Sioux Falls or something coming up and take your own spin on it. See what you can come up with? And we had over 20 original pieces come out of it, which is super cool. I'm excited. Now, it's coming up this Thursday. Where will the event be held on Thursday? Yeah. So, it's at Shriver Square, atrium, which is downtown Sioux Falls. So, if you know where the FOTA restaurant is, just come on through those double doors. And you'll find us right, right inside there. A Phillips Avenue, and is it 12 in Phillips? It's right in Kitty Corner from Minerva. So, whatever that corner is. Yes. And it's like, is it Kitty Corner or Catty Corner? It's across the street from Minerva's.
And you'll go inside, and is it a free event, or is there a fee to get in? All free. So, if you're just hanging out downtown this Thursday and you want to pop in for an hour and we look at some local art and check out some of the other cool things that we have going on, that's the place to be. I encourage you to do that. Get out and check it out. And again, Pepper Entertainment brings a wonderful live entertainment to the community all the time. So, it's cool that you're taking live entertainment and you're taking the arts and you're kind of mixing those together for this event. And it's an opportunity for people to come out and be a part of the Pepper Entertainment Champion Foundation. And that is a pretty cool thing that you guys do. Yeah, so that's relatively new too. It started in 2022. And so every concert that we promote in Sioux Falls, a dollar from every ticket's hold there, goes into the foundation. The foundation helps benefit local artists, especially in our Sioux Falls school district. We help provide guitar lessons there. So, over 800 students, I had to look this number up before this.
Over 800 students have taken classes within the guitar lessons that they provided to Sioux Falls school district because of it. What a cool thing. And think about how amazing that is for 800 students. And they're not all going to pursue that. They're not going to follow that forever. But even if a tiny fraction of them do, and they make their way to a stage somewhere someday because of this foundation set up by Pepper Entertainment, how cool is that? Yeah, just an opportunity to learn something so cool like playing guitar. Yeah, I love it. I think that's fantastic. So, if somebody listening would like to be a part of this, again, the art of music, let's give them the win and the wear and all of that again. When is this and where is this? Yeah, so this Thursday, September 17th, downtown Sioux Falls at Shriver Square atrium from 4 to 7 p.m. again, it's free. So, if you want to come in for 10 minutes, check it out and go grab some food at FOTA and then pop back out for another 10 minutes. That's what we're hoping. And we're going to have all this artwork will be for sale for the Champion Foundation as well.
And we will have concert posters, drum heads, guitar, sign from some of our previous shows. So, if you want to kind of a higher end thing to pick up at the show, you can pick up some autographed memorabilia there too. Very cool. So, bring a wallet. Bring a wallet and maybe a giant check like in Happy New Year. Yeah, drag one of those in with me. Casey said I could catch this. All right, it's called the Art of Music. It is this Thursday.
