Something Is Living Behind the Subdivision | Upstate South Carolina Encounters

Bigfoot Society

About this episode

In this episode, we explore the extraordinary experiences of Amy from upstate South Carolina, who shares a series of unsettling encounters that have unfolded over several years near her suburban home. Living in a growing neighborhood bordered by woods, a creek, and an abandoned farm, Amy recounts strange animal activity, unexplained sounds, powerful odors, and intense nighttime experiences that began quietly and gradually escalated. She describes encounters on neighborhood trails, disturbances around her home, and moments witnessed by family members and close friends. Amy also reflects on the emotional and psychological impact of these events, including moments of heightened awareness and communication that defy simple explanation. Her story offers a compelling look at Bigfoot activity occurring in populated areas and invites listeners to reconsider where these beings may exist and how they interact with the people around them.

I have the privilege of talking to Amy today. Amy is a listener. We got connected. She's from Upstate, South Carolina, and wanting to share some things that she has been experiencing over the years.

So welcome to the show. Amy, how are you doing today? Hi, Jeremiah. I'm doing really good. Awesome. Amy, is there anything else that the listeners would need to know about yourself for context before we get going? Yeah, so I'm Upstate, South Carolina, born and raised. I've lived here for the majority of my life. I've also lived in Vermont and New Hampshire for a little while. I'm a mom of two. And yeah, I'm in the beauty industry. I am not your typical person. I feel like that would have experiences. Kind of didn't ask for it, or think it was ever going to happen to me, but it did. And I'm here to talk about it. Absolutely. So Amy, let's start with. Are you able to take us back to when you first noticed that some things were happening, or you had an experience that was out of the ordinary? Um, so I kind of have had experiences throughout my life.

I wasn't going to get into like my childhood experiences and stuff today, but I am from a very small town in South Carolina. And I was raised on like 60 acres of woods, always playing in the woods. You know, I was one of those kids like have siblings that we would play cops and robbers and ride our mountain bikes and ATVs, dirt bikes, all that stuff. So, um, so yeah, so when I was a kid, I did have a few things happen. Um, but today I wanted to kind of talk more about where I'm living now and what I'm experiencing now. And um, it's kind of interesting because I never thought that I would have the experiences that I have in the place where I live now, because it is a more populated area. Um, like much of the South, um, it's kind of getting

really populated. Everyone is moving here. Upstate South Carolina, everyone's moving here. So, um, I have lived in my subdivision for like six or seven years. And um, there still was around it. There's an abandoned farm behind us. Behind us, there is a lake that is near us. And um, when we first moved here, some things that started happening were, um, I had dead animals showing up on my back porch. And um, at first, I thought that it was maybe just a cat. And they would just be showing up on my back porch, um, heads ripped off, things like that. So, that was a little peculiar. And of course, being from like the country, like, I am familiar with things that can happen. Um, you know, cats can bring you things. But it was just strange. It was like a repetitive thing. Bunnies with their heads ripped off. Um, you know, rats with their heads ripped off.

Just things that you wouldn't think like a cat would bring to you. And I didn't really see any feral cats. So, I kind of just like thought, okay, well, it might be an animal, whatever. Um, and I remember the first time, I remember the first time that I came to, um, to our house. It was right after we purchased it. And I just came to do like cleaning and such. And I was here at night because I'd worked a long day. So I just, um, I came at night and I was cleaning. I was, I opened the windows and stuff. And I just remember feeling very like watched. And that kind of stuck out in my mind because I noticed that, you know, as soon as I walked in, I felt comfortable. And then like after I started opening windows and everything, I just felt very watched. And both my neighbors on both sides, they're elderly. So they're not up past like eight or so, yeah. So, um, I felt really watched and when we moved in, there was, and I thought this was strange.

And this could be nothing. So the back door, like the day that we moved in was wide open. And there was like a hornet's nest that had been thrown into our house. I thought that was very weird. Like the whole nest was maybe not a hornet, like a, like a, I don't know, it just like a hornet or a bean nest was thrown into our house. So I thought that was very strange. Um, stuff I ignored, um, you know, we lived here for like a year or two and I started to hear things on the roof, um, not a raccoon, not like a critter. I'm familiar with what that would sound like. Um, I would hear footsteps on the roof. I would hear weird, gurgling and like talking noises on our camera from the backyard. It would really freak me out and, um, just things that sounded audibly like a human, but gurgly and, and weird.

So I attributed it to, well, it's just matrixing. Like it's just, you know, a car off in the distance or someone talking off in the distance, something like that. But anyways, um, one night, um, I was hearing something on the roof and my husband works third shift, um, at this time. So, and he's on 12 hour swing shifts. So I am like alone a good bit at night, sometimes depending on a schedule. And so I heard like, uh, all this stuff on the roof and it really scared me because I was like, this is crazy. Like it doesn't sound like there's something in my attic. Like it sounds like something is like stomp, stomp, stomp on my roof. And, um, I also heard that night right outside my window. This really weird owl call. And immediately in my mind, what I thought was this is a teenager messing with me. Um, I did not, I was like, I was like, someone has their, their, um,

their kid running around or something messing with me. But I was like in the middle of the night that doesn't make sense for that to happen in the middle of the night. So anyways, that was strange. And um, it was just, it was a janky owl call. It was not like your typical, I mean, I've heard that before. And I remember I even sent it to my brother, um, because I caught it on my camera, I sent it to my brother. And he's like, oh, it's just a barred owl. And I was like, no, I know it sounds like a barred owl. But if you heard this in the close proximity, it was to my, to my window. You, you would understand that it just didn't seem like a barred owl. But, you know, I kind of just attributed it to, okay, it's an owl, whatever. So there was like little things that were happening, um, and we also, we also get outdoors a lot. So we do walks. We have like a nature trail in the neighborhood. Um, and it, it's really pretty. So we'll walk around with the kids and everything. And, um, so the, the time that it actually really changed for me,

the time where I kind of couldn't keep saying, this is nothing. Everything else before this point, I was just, you know, it's nothing, whatever. Well, uh, so in 2023, it was the, um, it was like, let's see, March. I think it was mid-March and the weather was starting to get nice out. And that day I had been out walking on the trail with the kids and my daughter at the time. I think she was like two. And, um, so we were walking, um, and everything seemed fine. I didn't get any weird feelings, nothing. That was in the daytime. So that night my husband got home from work and I was like, hey, I'm going to take our dog out and we do have like a pit bull. He's like 75 pounds. I was like, I'm going to take him out because I kind of want to just have some alone time decompressed, you know, I do like going on like night walks with him. So we, um, it was, it was dark.

It was probably like, between eight and nine o'clock. Probably not the smartest, you know, going for a walk at night, but I had my pepper spray. I had like my knife, like I was fine, you know, I felt fine. I feel safe in my neighborhood. I don't feel unsafe. So, um, we start out on the trail and I, but there's a footbridge. Uh, before we got to the footbridge and mind you, I live like two houses down from the trail. Um, behind my house's woods, um, the trail's mostly woods. And there's like houses around, but, you know, so I smelled the smell. And I noticed it and I clocked it right away that I had not smelled it earlier in the day. And I had just been out there like a few hours earlier. It smelled like, like, um, someone that hadn't taken a bath in months mixed with like a rotting carcass.

It was really bad. And it struck me because I was kind of like, huh, that smells terrible. I didn't smell that earlier. That's just, I don't think I've ever like smelled anything like that. Um, and so we, we started walking on the footbridge and I guess I thought I was psyching myself out. And I was like, okay, well, what if there's a person who is experiencing homelessness and they're back here? That was my thought. So I kind of made a mental note of it and Max wasn't alerting to anything. That's my dog, Max. He wasn't, you know, freaked out at all. So, um, we got off the footbridge and I smelled it again, but then I heard like rustling in footsteps. And I was like, okay, well, that probably is someone who's homeless back there. And um, I just kind of like started walking faster.

And Max still, you know, if it's a human, like he's going to do something and you know, he's going to like, you know, be curious, uh, wag his tail, something. There is nothing like that. Um, so we start walking down the trail and we get about how almost halfway down and it's a very dark night. Like, I have to say that too. Like the, the moon was a half moon and um, there was not a lot of light coming from it, but the clouds were very low and very like foggy. So it was almost as if, you know, you couldn't see that well. So, um, we're walking and I started to hear footsteps and gravel kicking up. And so then I kind of knew like, okay, something is actually back there, um, but I was thinking maybe a dog, you know, just still not, not too worried. Um, and I turn my little flashlight on and um, okay, we get halfway down the trail.

And this is the darkest part of like the wooded area. Um, there's a lot of old trees and brush and just they hadn't cleaned it up in a while back there. And uh, my dog like just freezes. And this is, and I'm kind of like shaking talking about it because um, this is like a, the moment where I realized um, this is a moment that changed me and this is all, this is the experience where I have had like an existential crisis about it and it's, it's been kind of difficult. Um, okay, so he freezes and um, my dog is going to respond to things. There was, there was, the response from him was a low growl and um, the hairs on the back of his his back like straight up. And that's peculiar for him. So he wouldn't move.

And at the same time that he wouldn't move. Something 10, 15 feet up in this big tree, um, jumps down, stealthily jumps down. And um, I could almost feel the air thicken like there was just this tension there. And when it jumped down, it also took out like some big limbs. And when it hit the ground, it just hit the ground so smoothly. And I could hear the two feet hit the dirt because it was not far from me. It made a really big calamity. And I remember thinking, what is that? That is,

that's like as big as a bear. But I live in upstate South Carolina. I don't live somewhere where there's just like, there are people, but it's, you know, there's not bears running around here. It was huge. And it was very smooth. Like the way that it moved. And it hit the ground. And my dog is locked in on whatever this is. Almost like he's just entranced by it. And um, I'm standing there. And immediately, I just had this sort of, this is what was either watching us. I mean, it even seems like, it even seems like, was there two? Because we heard something behind us. So how did the one, how does something behind us that we heard walking get in this tree? I don't know. But um, so I'm standing there with him in every

fear. It was just overwhelming. And um, this is a little segue. And I'm not going to let go into it too much. Are you a fraud paying American? And I remember that moment of the moment I realized that and it was in my car, the moment I realized that someone a man had followed me and he was standing next to my vehicle and I saw him. And I remember the moment that I realized I was being watched and I had been followed. And that is the exact feeling that I felt in the woods with my dog in 2023 when this

happened. That exact feeling. So I knew what it was and I recognized it immediately. And as soon as I had that like recognition and I could almost see it was like something there in the brush, but I shine my flashlight. There was just leaves and stuff and like briars. And if you're ever shining your flashlight like at night and there's briars and there's brush in the way, you can't see what's behind it. It's blocking you. So it just like reflects back at you. So that moment just felt like it lasted forever. It felt like it lasted an hour. It was just seconds. And so my dog is locked in on this thing. And I could just almost see it back there. It's like this big black shadow mask. Like you can tell that there's something there. It's different than like the texture of everything else around it, but I couldn't see it. And I had this overwhelming fear rush through me. And then

and I know people talk about like mine speak or telepathy. And this is something I've never experienced. And it was very different from my own voice. That's the thing I want to push. It was very different from my own voice. This is not like yourself talking to yourself. It doesn't even come through like your filter. Like this is something outside of you that somehow like penetrated that barrier where you can hear it. And I heard something say if I wanted to unalive you, I could. And it was like pondering it. Like if I wanted to rip you to shreds, I could. And then I kind of got this feeling of I'm not going to, but I could. It was almost like it was toying with me. Like it's almost as if it was a warning, but a threat, definitely a threat.

And the thing about like mine speak slash telepathy that I'm learning from watching like you and other hearing when you talked to guests and hearing other podcasts is that it seems like when you hear that you process it differently because you're you're experiencing it in your mind. So you're experiencing it. And so as soon as it just you react instantaneously to it because you can't control when something's in your mind talking to you. If you hear someone say something to you, you can take it in through your filter and process it. But when you're in a moment of fear and you hear something infiltrate your brain and you hear you've never experiencing you've never experienced that before

which I never have. It's like everything is just firing off. And I just had this every moment feeling of get your dog get out of here. And I'm like pulling on his leash and he's got that low growl going and he's just locked in and he won't move. And I am internally freaking out. And I just I just picked him up. He was so heavy and I still don't know how I I did this. I don't know how because I'm five one and I am not a huge person. And I picked my almost any pound dog up and ran as fast as I could down past the trail to our soccer field. And still like and the soccer field is like this big open area. There's the lake and there's a playground and stuff. And I I thought I would feel safer once I got out there. And I was doing the whole like

adrenaline rush, you know, looking over my shoulder like terrified that something was behind me. So I get out to the soccer field and I thought, okay, well, I'll feel safe once I get out to where there's like maybe a street light. And there's a church light that like shines through the woods right before you get to the soccer field. And I was like, well, maybe if I just get to that light, I'll feel better. But I didn't. I still felt very, very scared. It was almost as if like I knew that whatever this was, well, I did know. It could it could get me if I wanted to. And there was no stopping it. A lot of times it's like a human being is following you and you're somewhere where there's lights or there's people around or a big open area. You think like, well, maybe all, you know, you feel safer. It would feel safer at that point, but it did not. So I ran

put my dog down because I couldn't carry him anymore. And I ran off the trail and I got down to where the lake is or the bottom of the lake is. And there were some teenagers that were fishing. And I musta looked crazy running like I was full speed like panting and just totally freaking out. And I got down there. And I there was a bench. And I just like collapsed on the bench with my dog. And he's just like staring at me and I was staring at him. And you know, when you when you have a dog that like they're in your house with you, like you take care of them, like they're almost like your child, like you have a bond. That's how I am with Max. Like we have a little bond. And he was just looking at me. And I could just like, I could just see it in him. Like what was that? Like he didn't know what it was. And yeah.

My goodness. I cannot imagine going through what you went through. I have a question for you real quick. Is it possible to describe anything about what the voice sounded like that you heard in your head? So this is something that I've thought about. That's a really good question. This is something that I thought about. If I had to put an age to it. Okay. So I think it was male. If I had to put an age to it, I would say adult, but not middle aged.

Behaviour, like just the feeling in the tone. The tone was very knowing. That actually, I think, put me off more. Because it was, I'm trying to describe this. I feel so crazy when I'm trying to describe this. I immediately got the feeling that whatever this was, was smarter than me.

I was nothing to it. It did not see me as equal. I was nothing to it. This is the feeling I got. Not, there's no emotion involved in this either. Like from that voice, the feeling I got, there was, there was no, humans have empathy. Like humans have emotions, humans empathize with each other. This was cold and it was not evil. It wasn't evil. It was ominous. It's like feelingless. That, like dominant. I could do this, just letting you know.

That's extremely interesting. The way that you're explaining the way that you heard the voice is kind of similar to the way that some witnesses describe it when they see it walk, which is in charge with purpose, things like that. I think that's extremely interesting. How long did you stay at that bench area for? Maybe five minutes. And then I, I kind of realized and I kind of had an adrenaline dump at that time and just my body was depleted. I remember like drinking all the water and my water bottle and gave some to my dog. And I remember sitting there and going like, I have no energy, but I have to go home. So I've got to walk back. And I've got to take the main road

because there is no way I was going back near those woods. And I was even nervous, nervous Jeremiah. I have to walk past a portion of the woods and where I smell that smell on the main road to get back to my house. And there's not really streetlights there. And when I got to the trail opening, I was like shaking. I was so nervous. And then I saw my house and I kind of like, okay, like reality came back to me a little bit. So you know, I rushed through my door and my husband was sitting on the couch and he just looked at me and he was like, what is wrong with you? I didn't know I didn't have to say anything like he just knew. He was like, what is wrong with you? And I was like something tried something I think something wanted to attack

me on the trail. And he was like, what do you mean? And that's whenever I had this whole like crisis of how do I explain this to another human being that it wasn't a masked criminal. That fits in the box of how we would explain that, right? What I kind of knew it was was some kind of beast, which is what I think it is still with a super natural twist. I was like something tried to attack me and Max. And it was really, really dark. And it was something I've never experienced before. And I was like, I think it was, I think it was that thing that I've heard on the roof and that like put the dead animals on our back

porch and maybe was making those crazy like growling and gurgling sounds. And some of those sounds I had heard on my camera sounded like a wild boar. You know, so I was just telling my husband, I was like, it couldn't be this, it couldn't be that. I was telling him like process of elimination like what it couldn't be. And he was like, well, that's really scary. His reaction was not like the protective male stance that he would have if he thought it was really, he believed me right away. And yeah, his reaction was not, I'm going to go down to that trail and I'm going to, you know, know, that was not, he did say, do you want to call the police? And I remember just looking at him and saying, call the police on what? What am I going to call the police on? What human being?

Can be 10 to 15 feet up in a tree. And this thing sounded like it was 400 pounds. Can jump down that stealthily. The way it landed. I already knew even if we don't put in the mind-speak component here, I already knew that it was some, it was a creature. It was not human. I did email my property manager about it though. But I told her that I thought it was a person. Obviously, I didn't want to look crazy saying, hey, like I think this creature jumped down from a tree and tried to, and I heard it tell me stuff. No, I just said, I was followed on our trail. The person was wearing all black. I think

they had like a bad intention. Hello, it is Ryan. And we could all use an extra bright spot in our day, couldn't we? Just to make up for things like sitting in traffic, doing the dishes, counting your steps, you know, all the mundane stuff. That is why I'm such a big fan of Chamba Casino. You know, if we could just kind of alert other people in the community that there could be danger on the trail at night, because I'm not the only one that walks out there. And she said she would have one enforcement look into it. Yeah. So, man, that's an extreme and traumatic experience.

And you can definitely tell how it is still affecting you to this day, which it would be affecting me as well. Did other things start happening after that, or was that kind of a one-off experience a few years ago? No, there's been more since then, unfortunately. So, okay. So, in 2024, it was July. And I think I sent you some photos of what could be something on my trampoline. I mean, so, okay, it was 2024 in July. And what I just to put you like where I was at the time,

I had, I was spending a lot of time outdoors. I had a really nice garden that I, you know, was out there like every day. I had my little one who would come out there and play in our backyard with me and jump on the trampoline. And that was like her favorite place. And she's also, she's on the autism spectrum. So, like, it definitely helps her. And it's like a sensory thing for her to jump on the trampoline. So, it was our every day just going outside playing and me and my garden. So, that was like my everyday activities. I also have a 12-year-old son. And he would come out there with us sometimes. So, I had a friend over, one of my friends over that I've known since high school. My husband was again on night shift. It's interesting how things happen when he's not there or

happen when he's not with me. So, we're sitting on the back porch. It's a lovely night. I think it was like the second of July. And it was just really nice out. And we're talking, we're meet, me and my son and my friend. We're all talking and just having a good time. And it's probably like around eight o'clock, nine o'clock, because I think it was dark and it gets darker later in the summertime. So, we're talking and my dog is out there with us. And we hear something really large, jump. Now, I have a six-foot fence. Jump the fence into my yard. We're talking loudly. We're hanging out. It was so loud. And what really did it for me where I knew it was

probably the same creature was when I heard the, like when it hit the ground. And I heard the two feet really heavy hit the dirt. And if you know the sound I'm talking about, it's unmistakable. It's like if you're standing on a hill and you're, you know, if you're standing under and you're stomping your feet, so the person that's near you can feel it. We were on my porch and this is the bottom of my yard and we could feel it and we could hear it. So, my dog starts going crazy and we could hear it moving around and like shuffling. But because my porch, because we had the lights on and it's dark in the yard, we could not see what it was. We were kind of blinded by the light. So, my immediate

reaction was I don't want to know what that is. I just want to get in the house. My dog's going crazy. My dog ran down on the yard after it. My friend was really curious. My dog ran on the yard after it, but his reaction was not like, he was wagging his tail, but he was also growling. I thought that was strange because he does not do that. That reaction was weird for him. And he's like barking at it, you know, and he just, he doesn't bark at everything. So, whatever it was, just moving around in the yard and I was just kind of frantic because I'm like, my son ran in right away. I was frantic because I was like, I've got to get my dog. I can't leave him out here. So, I'm calling him, I'm calling him and finally, you know, whatever this was, he didn't want to leave it alone. But if it was a

critter, raccoon, possum, squirrel, if it could have been any of those things, coyote, then he would have attacked it. He was really curious. So, he finally comes running back up and I run inside with my dog. My friend is like mesmerized by whatever is going on and she really wants to know what it is. And I was like, get in this house because it's probably going to attack you if you don't, whatever it is. Or I mean, if it's just an animal, that's fine, but just get in the house. So, you can still hear moving around. I mean, it sounded like a bear had jumped into my yard and was like, it was weird. So, she comes inside and we slam the door. And I was just everything that happened on the trail that night. I was like, replaying it in my mind. And I was

trying not to go there. We heard a howl. So, something started howling. But it was like an ear piercing the worst howl you could ever imagine. I couldn't believe it was happening and I was just not in my body. I did not want to be there. I did not want to know what was happening. I did not feel safe in my own house. My dog was running back and forth, back and forth, totally freaking out. Again, not normal behavior for him. And I'm trying not to hear this how. I'm like, oh, it's a siren. It's a car. It's something. And he's just looking at me with wide eyes. And my friends like, that's not a siren. That is not a car. It is howling. So, we're both filled with fear.

And like I say, we did not feel safe. I also had the thought across my mind. I don't have a camera that points at my yard. I have a camera on my porch that points at my porch. It does not get anything in my yard. Now, that is another thing. I never tried to catch anything like what this was. I've never put cameras out. This is a creature. This is a cryptid. I'm going to catch it. I've never done that until this point in 2024. Because even though I thought there was something there, I didn't want to know. I wanted to say in my own little ignorant bliss and just be fine. And my life is very busy. I did not want to interrupt my normal flow of things. For something that is otherworldly or whatever. I just, sometimes it's better just to like ignore

things. If you can't make sense of them, but then it gets to a point where you can't ignore it anymore. And it's right in front of your face. So in 2023, that was the beginning of it, where it really hit home for me in 2024, this experience. Okay, so take you back to, we heard the how we're standing in my house. We started to hear something on my siding in my living room. It was like it knew where we were in my house. And something is brushing up against my siding. You could hear it on the side of the house. But whatever it was in the backyard. So I'm like, well, if it jumped to six foot fence, it could just jump back over it. I mean, and my dog is freaking out, whining, crying, running from the back door to the front door, just constantly. And it dawns on me at this moment that my garage door is open.

And my door to my garage is open. And so I'm thinking, okay, so if it knows where we are, what if it, what if, I mean, what if, because if it can, mine speak telepathically to me, can it read my mind that I'm thinking, oh, I don't know, my door, I got to secure my, I don't know, my door's open. Could it know that? It might. So my friends like, don't go out there, don't go out there. And I said, no, I got to. I got to go walk everything down because whatever this is is not shy. So I ran out to my garage and I locked the outside door. And just as I was doing that, I could hear something in the bushes out there, like right outside. Front back in, lock the other door. My dog is at my front door, absolutely freaking out. I look at my ring camera.

And standing there looking at my ring camera faces like my garage where you could see like the bushes. And there is something with one really big eye. And you can kind of see the eye like squinting and then opening back up, like crouched and hiding behind a bush. And a car drives by, you can see it illuminate. And then it's, you can't see what's behind the bush, but you can see this big eye shine. And then it's gone. This was right at the time that I was like running out my door, running out of my house to go to my into my garage and lock my garage door. So none of this felt real, but it happened. And that is like one thing that I have to keep saying,

like it doesn't feel real, it doesn't feel like my life. I can't believe it when I even tell it. I'm like, what are you talking about Amy? But this actually happened. Okay, so the next day was July 3rd. And obviously I've told my husband about this. I was kind of worried he wouldn't believe me like, oh, maybe your friends just, you know, hyping you up about this. But he believed to me. And I think that's like always a fear that you have like will my husband or my wife believe me. I hear that sometimes on podcasts that I, you know, I've listened to your channel a good bit. And I kind of hear people say like, I didn't know if they would believe me. I had that fear. I didn't think he would, but he did. And he even

suggested like, why don't you try? Why don't you buy another camera and point at a different spot in the yard? So keep the one where you have it now, but just point this one somewhere different. So the next day, my son was very, my son was very on edge about all this. And my son, he's on the autism spectrum too. Hello, it is Ryan. And we could all use an extra bright spot in our day, couldn't we? Just to make up for things like sitting in traffic, doing the dishes, counting your steps, you know, all the mundane stuff. He's very sensitive. He's super brilliant. And he, sorry, hold on. So you have

two autistic children? Is that correct? Okay. Yes, I do. All right, go ahead. Thank you. Yeah. So one of his little hobbies that he likes to do is airsoft and he had just gotten an airsoft gun. So he, and I didn't know this the next day because he knew all this was happening. You know, I try to like, when you have kids, you want to protect them from things that are scary. But my son's had his own experiences that he has come to me and talked to me about, which I'm not, I'm going to listen to him. I'm never going to tell my child like, you didn't see that. That didn't happen because that's what my parents would do to me. So I just listened to him. The next day he ran out with his airsoft gun and I was like,

where are you going, buddy? And he's like, oh, I'm just going out in the yard. You know, it's okay. So he comes back in and he was like, guess what I just did? And I was like, what did you just do? And he was like, well, I went down to the woods and I told whatever's down there. Don't ever come back in my yard again or you'll like fill my wrath or something. A very, a very like 11, 12 year old boy thing to say, right? Like, hey, don't mess with my mom or you're going to get this pellet gun. Like it was anyways. I was like, okay, can you not threaten in whatever was like terrorizing us last night? That would be great. But anyways, so I don't know if that provoked it. And also my son, he's a pretty tall kid and he's a big kid. So he looks like

he's like 14 or 15, truly. So I was thinking, okay, so if there's like this crazy cryptid creature, whatever it is, these thing that's out there, you just went down there and effectively threatened it. And you know, I was concerned about him. But anyways. So I put up some cameras at face different directions that day and also that day, my littlest was on the trampoline and I was working in my garden. She gets on the outside of the trampoline. And I don't know how she did this because I was right there was watching her. She gets on the outside of the trampoline and she like walks around the outside of the trampoline. And there's a

break in our fence that comes down about a foot. So where that break in the fences, my littlest who at this time was pretty nonverbal is like, she has her hands out reached and she's like telling something to pick her up. And as a mom, every instinct in my body, I was like, I was absolutely freaked out. If there was any doubt in me that still at that point that this was happening, and also the guilt, because I'm like, okay, so this is not just me experiencing this. Now this is my children. And now this thing is messing with my children. And now we have a problem. So I got her, she's fine, everything. I got her right down and told her you cannot walk on the

outside of the trampoline. It's safe, all that good stuff. So anyways, that's one thing that happened I have to mention. And if you're a mom or a dad and you're like you're having experiences, I really have to say this, it's not just a cute to like you. Like I listened to a guy the other day who told such an amazing story and it was really scary. And he mentioned his kids a few times. And I was just thinking, I want to hear from the kids perspective. And I know I know like the podcast community, like that's not a safe thing to do. No one does that. And I agree, it shouldn't be done, you know, kids or minors, they need to be protected. But I was just thinking because if any parent is experiencing this, like you and your kids live with you in your house where you're having these creatures. And then there's like the sense of being a mama bear or papa bear, like you have to protect your family. But how do you protect your family from something

that you don't know what it is? It's not like a classified animal. It's not, you know, it's probably supernatural. Anyways, so I put those cameras up and it was the morning of 4th of July. I could not sleep that night. I was just laying in bed. It was almost like I just felt like something was going to happen and I was just waiting for it. Maybe that's intuition. So I'm laying there and it's like three in the morning, four in the morning. And I see my neighbor, I'm like watching these cameras. And I see my neighbor next door to me, who's in his 70s. Don't know why he was an old military guy. Turn on his big light on the back

of his house, like his spotlight, which I thought was strange because they never do that. And then he turned it off. So after that happened, I'm like, okay, well, did he see something? So I'm watching the camera. I'm really tired. And I see this little box pop up around something. So that screenshot that I sent, sorry, that screenshot that I sent you, I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure that that was actual like I screen-shotted that live. Because when I go back and I look at, there's one picture I know I screen-shotted live because the background's different than the other ones. And I remember doing that because I almost couldn't believe what I was seeing, but I was like, ready. I knew that something was probably going to happen. I could just feel it.

And it was a creature that was crouched down, almost like a human would be, but like a, like in a, just crouched in like a frog position, like, Indian style, but on its toes kind of, on my trampoline. And I mean, I saw it. Like, I saw it pop up. And I knew exactly that that was it. But I didn't expect it to look like that. And I didn't believe it. I still don't believe it. And I have talked about this with people. I mean, I've talked about this with my family, my clients. And every time I talk about it, I still can't believe it.

Okay.

So yeah, I think I caught it or something on pictures, on video, and the weird thing is, is that it like disintegrates. But also, these are not like great cameras. These are like just your run of the middle like ring cameras, wise cameras that you buy at like home depot. Like I was, I surely did not really think I was going to catch anything. I kind of, you know, I, I didn't believe it that I did. And um, the size of it on the trampoline, I had my husband, he's six, three and like two hundred something pounds. The next day I had him like, I was like, can you get on there and see if you can like crouch in the position this thing was and we can see kind of like size comparison. This was bigger than him.

If he's six, three and like two hundred and twenty thirty pounds, this thing was bigger than him. In the video, it's like there for a split second and then it like cloaks or like disintegrates or like vanishes or something. That's crazy to think about. That's crazy to say, but I don't know how this like, and I mean, I played with the photo. I've like taken the brightness down. I've like, you know, not the ones I sent you, but I've messed with it myself and like the thing that I can't get out of my mind because I keep trying to talk myself out of it and like, oh, it's not real. The thing I can't get out of my mind is that if you make it really dark, you can actually see where the shoulders and the knees or the legs block out the light where the poles

are on my trampoline. So there is something there. I'm not saying what it is. I don't know what it is. That's kind of my way that I've proved it to myself like, yeah, you're not losing your mind. So yeah, is it okay to if we share the videos and the photos that you sent me in this interview? All right. Well, I'm going to try to put those in. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. Is there, they are really, really interesting. I remember you sending those to me. So that was July 4th of, was it 24 or 25? 24. 24. Wow. Is anything happening with your neighbors at this time?

Okay, so my neighbor, yeah, my neighbor, okay. I have two elderly neighbors that live on either side of me. Wonderful people. I know them. They know my kids. One of my neighbors actually just moved away. And she had built that house and lived in that house for 30 years. And I'm not sure why she moved, Jeremiah, but so I had, I had something happen. This was in August. On my back porch, there is, in the summertime, there's a ton of orb weaver spiders.

And I'm kind of obsessed with them. I think they're really pretty. And there's this invasive spider called a giro spider. And they kind of like pop up and they actually, the females are really aggressive and they'll kill the orb weavers. So one night, I had like, I had a couple of gyros on my back porch and then I had like a couple orb weavers. And I was just checking to see if like the gyros weren't, because you will find like dead spiders in their web, like they are, well, it's creepy. So I was trying to flash light. And the only way you can really see the webs and like where they are and not walk into them is to try to flash light. So I live like on a hill. And it overlooks my neighbor's yard. I was shining my flashlight. And there's a big cedar tree, really big cedar tree right next to my fence in her yard.

There was a web that I was looking at on my porch. Here's a big cedar tree. Here's her house. Alloretic here from 2311 Racing, another checkered flag for the books, time to celebrate with Jamba. Jump in at JambaCasino.com. Let's Jamba. No purchase necessary. VTW Group. Boy, we're prohibited by law. CCNC. 21 plus sponsored by JambaCasino. I turn my flashlight off. I don't know why I did that, but I turn my flashlight off for a second. And there was, I can't remember if I saw it in turn my flashlight off. I don't know why that's a first instinct. It's like, obviously, if you're trying to flash that around the thing already saw you, so you gave it way that you're there. Okay. There was a very large black mass with red eyes next to the cedar tree.

That was, I mean, it was like 10 plus feet tall. I mean, it was like 13 feet tall. It was very tall because my, my fence is like six feet. It way over the fence, black mass. It had these red eyes and it was right in her yard. I mean, here's the creek. There's a creek behind my fence. At the same time that I saw this big black mass with red eyes, neon red eyes, mind you, like almond shape. In the creek behind my house, there was two rock slacks that happened, loud, rock slacks, very, it was something a human would do, very human.

Not a raccoon, there's beavers back there sometimes, not a beaver. I don't think they'll, they'll slap their tail at you for sure. But they're not going to take like two rocks and go clack, clack, clack, clack. That's what it did, something in the creek bottom when I saw this and when the clacks happened, the thing disappeared. It vanished. And then a couple weeks later, she puts her house that she's lived in for 30 years on the market and moved out. And now I have new neighbors. Yeah. Wow. That kind of thing really makes you wonder what else was going on over there, especially like why would you put up your house at 30 years that you built yourself like that?

Have you experienced telepathy any other time beside the time that you've shared so far? Okay, so I was just talking with my sister last night about this. When you have a child who is nonverbal and you are their caretaker, you build a bond with them that no one else has. You can almost pick up on their needs. I mean, sometimes I'll be at work and I'll have a 12-hour day and my husband's at home with our daughter and I just know that like, okay, she's hungry. I know, okay, she wants to go outside.

There's been times where I've texted him and there was one time that she can elope. So like our friend or is like Fort Knox because she can elope. She's just in that stage, sometimes they do it forever, sometimes they don't. But she can and she ran out in the backyard one time when I was at work and my husband he was doing dishes or washing his hands or something and I texted him three minutes before it happened because I caught it on my camera that she ran out on the back porch. I caught it three minutes before it happened and I texted him and I said, is she okay? Like I knew that it was something could happen. So I don't know, when you have kids that rely on you, I feel like you can build that relationship unknowingly. I don't know, especially if they aren't on verbal, my son is very verbal.

My daughter is getting more verbal as time progresses but you can build that bond with them and I've wondered if it could be a component, like maybe because of my children and my bond with them, I've unknowingly like become more empathic in general and I also work with people all the time in my industry. I work with people so I kind of feel like a therapist even though I am not a therapist but I feel like one. So maybe I have those skills in some facet and I don't know but like to like mine speak or telepathy like on the trail that night, never, I've never like heard this voice come over me and tell me something like that, never.

Yeah, that's extremely interesting because another pattern that you will see if you talk to enough people is there's definitely a connection between, I guess not just autistic children but autistic individuals and a big foot in a way, there seems to be sometimes more activity when they are present, I've had more than a few interviews where that comes up, you don't feel like you need to answer this, it can be cut out but do you know if you are autistic or on the spectrum yourself? I don't know, I am very neurodivergent, I have ADHD and actually all my siblings have ADHD too, my mom has ADHD or ADD, I think she said ADD but our children in my family

on my side have ADHD or autism or both. So could I be autistic, I could be, I don't know, you know, like millennials, like my generation especially like elder millennials, we didn't really get tested or diagnosed them right there with the older millennials so just the fact that I said another pattern is probably is a big indicator for some people but yeah no, the elder millennial, it really did not get diagnosed at all, so. My husband has told me that he thinks that he has autism, which that might line up but I don't know, I'm not going to tell him what I think he has, yeah absolutely. So that was, we were talking about August of 24, was that right?

Okay, yes. Has this been occurring in the last year as well or with the creature that the large black mass with red eyes, that was in August of this of 2025, but it was in the summer time, I think that they might like to be out more in the summer time and I think that to me, the black mass did look ape-like. Why these things would be hanging out in a creek behind a subdivision? I have no idea why. There is an old abandoned farm behind my neighborhood, it's just dilapidated and I mean there's woods,

you know, they could conceal. I don't know why, I mean I thought maybe food, people watching, but the one with red eyes, that was a different experience, any time I've had these experiences I've been really scared. When I saw him, and I'm saying him, I don't know that it was him, when I saw it, I wasn't afraid of it and it kind of felt like it was trying to scare me, but I just felt nothing and I thought that was very weird, I felt nothing and it squinted at me and then disappeared when the rock clacks happened, but it squinted at me like it was checking me out, I got the vibe it was checking me out, like who are you?

But it like new me, I don't know, this is weird. I got the feeling that it knew me and for some reason it was showing itself to me. I feel like these things have to be able to cloak because I just don't know how it can disappear like that and you would think that this would happen in an area where there's like acres and acres of woods around, it's really remote, it's very out in the middle of nowhere, but I, this has changed my mindset on that because where I'm from is like acres of land in the middle of nowhere and I've had more experiences here where there is high density living and population than I have had somewhere like that.

Man, it's an incredible story and it feels like there almost should be some thing in the past that kicked things off and that got everything connected, but I'm not sure if I have it yet and that's okay, but you know what I mean? They definitely know you're there and you guys are just like a lighthouse beacon bringing a man and it's, yeah, I mean it's one of those things where you have some sort of experience and then it just opens you up to all this other stuff and you just really start experiencing stuff out of nowhere.

When you are doing your place of work and you're able to talk to people and hear their story and you're telling yours, it sounds like you tell it quite a bit. Has anyone else been like, oh yeah, totally that area is super weird or I've had other things happen in that area, anyone brought up stuff like that? Well, my clients will share, you know, so when you're in the beauty industry, you have like a couple hours with people sometimes and usually you get to know people really well, their families, et cetera, and we, I've swapped stories with some people about the area. The upstate is very old, well, South Carolina is very old, but like when I was little, like

if I would go play in the woods, like my dad, you know, if he was with me, we would collect arrowheads, I mean stuff like that, so it's not abnormal, like people who know this area is old, but it's, I've had people explain to me that they've had paranormal experiences, wanted houses, you know, seeing ghosts, things like that, some clients that I have. Yeah, I had a lady in my neighborhood who is a lovely sweet person, tell me that something she would put out, and this, and you know, I guess the spring is when they're out, she would put out hummingbird, like fill her hummingbird feeders. Tyler Reddick here from 2311 Racing, another checkered flag for the books, time to celebrate with Jamba, jump in at JambaCasino.com, let's Jamba. No purchase necessary, BTW Group, voidware prohibited by law, CCNC, 21 plus sponsored by JambaCasino. And something would come and take apart the hummingbird feeders and suck all of the juice

out, and she said it was happening like every night. And she thought that that was weird. And she lives on the other side of my subdivision, and behind her is the old dilapidated form. So. Wow. Okay. So a lot going on, for sure. I guess, you know, and I think of South Carolina, I'm thinking of old, old, even a lot of civil war type related paranormal things. Revolutionary. Yeah. Yeah, sure. Definitely. Would you say the August event was the last big event that happened on your property then? We're at about, well, February of 2026 now.

There was something, I mean, things kind of happened, okay, things kind of happened all the time, but I don't like to be that person that's like, oh, this happened, then this happened. You know what I mean? I'm not looking for it. And there's stuff with animals like, you know, when I, there was like a hawk back here killing something or it was like screaming, we, we know what it was. But, you know, you can tell. Okay. So, and this one, this one actually happened with my husband. So now he knows, um, I took Max out one night. Sometimes if I don't go out, it's a fence in your, but sometimes if I don't go out with Max at night, he gets into trouble. He likes to attack possums and it's just nasty. So we, I took him out with a flashlight and we were walking around the yard and I just kept hearing something like jumping from tree to tree to tree.

But it was really big. It was knocking branches down and like, okay, well, where have I heard that before? You know, um, it was knocking branches, big branches down. I could like see the branches falling, but when I shot my flashlight up in the tree, I couldn't see what it was. Like, there was nothing there, but I could see like the trees moving, branches falling. At the same time, across the woods from us like back in the woods up on another hill, there's a retention ponna behind that. There is an apartment complex in the winter time. You can hear them very well. You can see the apartments way back there, but you can hear them. And it's very, usually very quiet, but on this particular night, there was like a guy walking around the retention pond. It's all gated off like they, you can't get from over there to where I am. But there was a guy walking around the retention pond screaming really loudly on his phone. At the same time, this thing is jumping from tree to tree to tree, knocking stuff down very loudly.

And I surmised that he was watching this guy. The guy was obviously very distracted. So I went inside. I was like, you know, I told my husband I was like, can you come out here? And you just like walk around the edge of the fence back there just I feel like I just want to see if you can like see what this is. You know, he being that he is kind of skeptical. He was like, yeah, okay, sure, fine. So he got his flashlight and he like walks around me outside of the fence. There's the creek and the woods. And whatever it was that was jumping around as soon as my husband got back there, it got really quiet. So I'm standing on the other side of the fence with my dog. My dog is just silent through all of this. My husband's over on the other side and he's like, Amy, it looks like something has been

betting down back here and he does yard work and he throws stuff back there all the time. He's very familiar with it. And I was like, what do you mean? And he was like, it looks like something has made like a little nest or something back here. And if that was not off putting, I was like, okay, and if my husband says it, he is a skeptic. He is and he's also an atheist. So like I'm the spiritual one that like can't stop talking. This is the one that's like, he has to see it to believe it. That's just how he is. So when he said that, alarm bells went off because I know how he is. Then whatever was up in the trees jumping around and being very loud and messy, jumps down. So my husband's behind our fence. Here's the creek and then there's woods and those woods, whatever it was, jump down and I heard it hit the ground. And I was like, whatever that was has now jumped down and he heard it too.

And I could tell he was getting freaked out because he was like quiet. I was like, it's jumped down and I just heard it land on the other side of the creek. So it's back there with you. So now he's got to walk by the creek and come back around the fence. So he's got to effectively walk by whatever has just landed on this hill across the creek. And he just immediately like booked it back across there as fast as you can for it being like, I mean, it's thick brush, even in the winter it's thick like no one is back there. There's briars and it's messy and it's gross. So he didn't see anything. But something was definitely back there. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh my goodness, Amy, you have really it's not just you as your whole family has really an incredible story. I know it was hard to to share it.

I could tell you a right back there in it. And I just want to say thank you for for sharing what you guys have been through so far. And I hope that this helps some listeners that are maybe going through some things like this in their own lives and that it's okay to talk about things like this. But Amy, thank you so much for coming on. Please keep us in the loop. If you do continue to experience things like this around your property, I would love to hear about it. But thank you again. Yeah. Thank you so much, Jeremiah. Thanks for having me on. Have you ever heard all the accounts of big foot activity around Oak Ridge, Oregon? We can talk about your encounter, was able to talk to so many people last year and the year before it is an incredible time, you're not going to want to miss it, and I'll see

you there. Before we wrap this episode, I want to say something directly to a very specific group of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch or forces, and if you've seen something that no one can explain, or if you're a national park ranger or forestry worker who's been told to stay quiet, if you're a pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground, or if you're with the FBI, a federal agency, or working intelligence, and you stumbled upon something you're not allowed to talk about, and if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks that didn't make sense, if you're in the logging industry on a remote oil field or a trucker with government contracts, and you've had something happen that you've never told a soul, and if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist, or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence, you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary, or someone on a spiritual retreat, and you saw something

that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA, NSA, or anything with clearance, and you've seen with the public hasn't, then I want to talk to you. Even if it's anonymous, you can reach me at Bigfoot Society at gmail.com. The world needs to hear what you've been forced to carry alone, and you're not alone. We've got the story. We've got the mic.
