Social Confoes 000 – The Social Confoes Roadmap

This is the pilot episode for the new series that Diego Ameerali and Jean-Luc van Charante will be hosting called Social Confoes. The format will be a bit different than the other series. We will be hosting live episodes weekly on Tuesdays at 21:00 SRT (19:00 EST) for the foreseeable future of 2021. This series will cover topics surrounding social media. We will be livestreaming Facebook and YouTube (we may add platforms as we progress). Viewers will be able to directly interact with us through the comments section as we progress through the episode. All the episodes will be in English.

In this episode zero we take a quick look back to 2020 and how we both started our own podcasts and what let to us creating this series. We share a bit of our personal experiences and the platforms we are looking to focus on in 2021. We close the episode off with a controversial topic. In Suriname, we haven't really talked about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology yet. The main reason for that is the amount of 'Crypto' MLMs that overshadowed the information of about cryptocurrencies over the past 3-4 years. Diego and Jeanluc talk about the 3 biggest 'crypto' MLMs that hit Suriname, some basics of understanding MLMs and their relation with scams as the live chat adds their view on the topic as well.
