but the next idea is diving deeper into discipline and thinking about the three disciplines of self-mastery. You have structural discipline, reactive discipline, and expansive discipline. All right, so we got structural discipline is the first of the three disciplines of self-mastery. So structural discipline, the questions that you need to ask yourself are, who are you at your absolute best? What virtues do you embody? And what do you actually do on a daily basis? When we have structural discipline, think of structure, right? We dominate that protocol. We dominate our protocols. We recommit to being our best selves in the morning and we hit our targets all day every day. That's the idea, right? I promise you, good fucking luck. Good luck having a series of really bad days when you do that, when you recommit or just ultimately commit or ultimately decide

that this is the person that you wanna be. Your highs will be higher and your lows will be higher and you'll have earned the trust in yourself to know that you can handle whatever life throws at you which is the essence of confidence, right? That's how you forge through anti-fragile confidence by executing your protocols via this structural discipline, right? Confidence needs receipts and that's what you do, you're executing your protocols. The most high performers on the planet do this one thing. They do what they say they're going to do. They keep the little promises you make to yourself and that's the idea of structural discipline. And so then we move on to the second discipline which is reactive discipline, reactive discipline. So reactive, right? Something triggers you. Can you step in between the stimulus and your normal sort of sub optimal response with the discipline, that's why it's reactive discipline

to choose a better response. This is what I teach my athletes all the time. If you wanna be one of the best performers in whatever domain parenting business sport, you always have control over your response and you can either spiral down or you can spiral up. Understanding our reactive discipline. Now we have the choice to have a better response is the discipline to choose a better way forward. Something triggers us, don't love that word, but something triggers us, something sets us off, some obstacle setback challenge happens. Okay, can I step in between that stimulus and how I normally respond sort of Victor Frankl style and have the discipline, the reactive discipline to choose a better response? Yes, you can through your breathing, through your body language, through yourself talk, through the things that you ultimately have control over because there's so much in this world that we don't have control over. So why don't we dominate the protocols and the things that we do have control over,

right, I talked about the fundamentals, eating, moving, sleeping, thinking, dominate those because we have control over them. Okay, well it's also control the things that we have power over, which is our attitude, our effort and our response really dialed into this reactive discipline. Then we move on to the third discipline, which is expansive discipline. I love this one. This is both the, I think the most important and the hardest of the three disciplines, right? Because every single moment, every single moment, we have a choice. When we step forward into growth or back into safety, forward into growth, back into safety, we have that choice, we have that power. So if you wanna live the most incredible, awesome, fulfilling, meaningful lives and have a shot at really experiencing all that you're capable of being, when we feel a little bit of fear, we must consistently choose to expand, expand, expand.

Again, you're not gonna get less scared, but you're gonna get more brave and you're gonna give yourself the evidence that you can move forward into growth, that you can move forward into growth, that you can expand, expand and expand because you're not stepping back into safety because you know what that feels like. You also know what it feels like to step forward into growth. And yeah, you're still scared or nervous or whatever the case may be, but you're getting more brave because you have the evidence to say that you are who you say you are and your confidence is growing and your trust in yourself is growing and it's a beautiful, beautiful thing. That's what we need to do. We need to make that expansive of that expansion, excuse me, a discipline. We need to make that expansion a discipline. So again, you have the three disciplines of self mastery, which are structural, reactive and expansive. We know, as we stated at the beginning, right, discipline equals freedom, jaco willing style and discipline is the bridge between your targets and actually accomplishing the things that you sit out to do. So it's important to understand some of those

different elements of discipline and how we can apply them to our lives.
