***Sneak Peek***MBRS 97: Posting Your Dream Online Won’t Save You—Performance Will
About this episode
This members-only episode goes off the rails in the best way. Peaches and Trent start with social media hopefuls broadcasting their Special Warfare dreams—and break down why visibility without performance can come back to haunt you in the pipeline. From authenticity vs cringe, performers vs non-performers, and why teams eventually protect their own, the conversation rolls into accountability, medals, general officers, Mark Milley, CQ Brown, and why shiny ribbon racks don’t equal integrity. Toss in meme culture, Delta legends, fitness across generations, alcohol, Shot Show chaos, gun safety, and why the military still self-corrects faster than the internet thinks. Messy, funny, real—and exactly why this one stays behind the paywall.

One, 20, four, three, go! So you guys are going into special warfare assessment selection. It is an attribute-based selection model. What does that mean? Guys, are we running that out to get thinner with consciousness, everybody? Product is Sam. Right? I can't freaking... So there's a holistic picture that we're looking for. The instructors are giving you input, and we're expecting an output. And everything is for a reason. If you guys haven't heard my spiel yet, everything that we do, every single exercise, has a connection to the job that you're trying to do. We don't want people at Indox, special warfare assessment selection, whatever they're going to call the new course, when it inevitably changes, somewhere down the road. I don't care what they call it. What I need is you to show me the raw materials for the things that I want to build you into. Just like everything else, it's a crawl walk run. Jesus, just like this!
All the way to HEC, it's Everquare! All the way to HEC, it's Everquare! Members, welcome back. We appreciate you. I just want to say members up front so that we know that we can say whatever it is that we want to say, you know? Yeah, that's good so that we don't get to the end and go, oh man, this was with a little bit of members and then we could say whatever we wanted. Yeah. So what's up with that kid that wants to be a PJ that's a little lispy, you know what I mean? Well, I think this was an ambush everybody. Yeah, I definitely wasn't prepared for it. Let me see if I can find the the Instagram link. I'm highly motivated. That's not a lot of stuff. Yeah, I did agree with that. All right, let me put this in the link and then bring this up. Hopefully the sound plays and all that good stuff.
Hmm, I'm not so into it. So, all right. Let's see here. Instagram. Here we go. Oh, this sounds not playing though is it? It is not. Not for me. This has happened though before. I don't know if you fix it in post but I've been like, oh, there's no sound and then on the episode it's there. So I have fixed it in post by going and downloading the by going and downloading the file itself but you know on Instagram, I don't think I can do that. Well, anyway, so so there's an individual so this is not an unusual occurrence though. So why is it awesome? Get it eat some steak and rice. Get it with the climberist and do it underwater. It is awesome. Yeah, that's it. That's all I got. See ya. Okay, for all of Ryan, she's very excited.
Work was awesome. Life's amazing. Not this weekend but the next of the job I'd have an airplane again to do a solo exit. And then I got to do one more supervised jump and then I'll be an unsupervised student and I can jump out by myself like totally without supervision. And life's awesome. And that's it. That's all I got. See ya. Okay, cost ride. Got legend here. All right. I mean, I need to do this. Okay, just got that swabby get the pool. It was super awesome during lunchtime. Tried to be a Navy SEAL or a PJ. Was working. Just working underwater is in a combat sidestroke which was great. And that's it. That's all I got. See ya. And he's just got endless. In the front. You get to get to see a super excited. I love when I get out of work early enough to do this. Life's awesome. And that's it. That's all I got. See ya. Okay, ready to do Jitzil.
About halfway there. I thought somebody said something to me. Um, this light always takes a long time. But super happy. Super grateful. Life's awesome. And that's it. That's all I got. See ya. Okay. Uh. Uh. Okay, so there's a couple things with this. Uh. And he's got a lot to post like this. Um, that he he post frequently, right? So taking it at face value and believing everything that he is saying. That dude is putting in some serious work and putting in more work than most of the people that are trying to go for the pipeline. Yeah. It's funny because like, um, you know, separating how much work this, this dude is doing versus how he comes across on social media.
But it is one of those things like if you think about it, if you take this to its logical conclusion, it's like, hey guys, everybody that makes it on team is not like, Hey man, so I ate red meat today and, uh, you know, I just kind of naturally uplit it and I made it to the pipeline. There's a lot of really interesting people that end up making it because of, you know, whether this person's enthusiasm is real or not, but like that attitude of like having a great time, having a great time, just like putting in the work, and willing to put themselves through stuff like that, you know, might come across as a little bit fruity, um, but putting in more work than you guys probably, you know what I mean? Definitely putting in more work than I am. Yeah, I mean, if that dude is, again, doing everything that he's saying that he's doing, as frequently as he's doing, he is definitely working out more than I am. And right on, man, you're right about, yeah, with that. I do want to say, so we, so since the, the social media thing happened and when I was in a structure,
I just want to like to this person, like, you, you just better be ready for a whole ton of shit when you're getting to the pipeline. You know, whether it's going for the seals or ours, man, you put this much stuff out just being like, I'm trying to be this, I'm trying to be this and whether you're training or not, like you better be more prepared than the folks that don't have social media accounts when you get there. Come on. Yeah. Yeah. Because all that is 100% going to come back to Hauju because right now, everybody across the PJ and aspect work community is sharing it. Some people are posting, some people are just sharing the, the blanks. So everybody is going to be very aware of you. And unless you're able to hide your voice, it's like you can kind of, you know, blend in with the rest of the cones and, you know, with shave's heads. It won't matter. The rest of the cones are, they are all detectives. They will find out who you are. Cones have time on their hands. It's, it was not, it's a typically it wasn't the instructors being like,
oh, did you know who this dude is? Like, look at his social media account. It was other cones ratten, like incoming folks out, being like, do you see? Do you see your new student? Yeah. What advice would you give them? Stop making the videos. Like, take it all down. You know what it is? Stop making videos. Or, or, I mean, so some of my favorite humans, so this dude reminds me of some of my favorite students that I ever had that became friends of mine, right? Over time, some dudes show up and they're just so weird, you know, but they are just who they are. And eventually they win you over with their work ethic and just, they're how genuine and authentic of a human they are. You know, like, and they're willing to do whatever it takes to do the things, they'll take a load of shit. They don't care what their bail stinks. And you just have to be aware of what's going to happen when you get there. You know, like, I'm thinking of a guy in particular. He showed up at Keesler and I was like, there's no way. Like, you are like, you know, his is like,
it seemed like he was never really focused, but like, he was pretty fit. But no matter how much shit you gave this guy, no matter how many drops, he's just like, do, do, do, like, just moving forward. Who you are, Sergeant? And just because he just, he never changed, though. Like, that's just who he was. And so eventually it's like, okay, like, I kind of appreciate who this guy is. He's not faking. He's not, you know, being a weirdo because, whatever, he's not like trying to hide anything. It's just that is who he is. And he came in that way. He graduated that way. You know, so. I think you bring up kind of a good point, though, is the, and I don't know if this is the right word for it, but the eclectic group of people that join the military, and not just, just a word for it. I'm just talking about in the military in general, because you can take it, I think we've talked about it for, but you can take people that are from all walks of life,
all different, you know, quote-unquote classes of people, you know, in terms of economic class, right? You could take, here's me. And then there was everybody else that joined. It was really difficult to deal with. Yeah, it's just different religions, different races, different sexualities, different, you know, all those things, right? And I thought that, you know, the pipeline was a good indicator of this, but I actually think that a place like Kermin Leadership School or NCO Academy, non-commissioned officer Academy or something like that, is a better representation because you really do, like from us, we are all, Air Force Special Warfare, we are all people that generally love to work out, or were at least fitness-related, probably send the journal and junkies maybe a little aggressive, often viewed as assholes and that kind of stuff and cowboys. So we're all kind of the same in a way.
Yeah. But in a professional military education, it is everybody from different career fields and everything. And you'll have a class or a flight and you guys will start to bond after the storming, norming phase and all that kind of stuff. And then next thing, you know, you find yourself all going out to eat together or go in bowling or go into the gym together or whatever. And it's a bunch of people that probably would have never hung out in the first place. Not because they didn't like that group of people or it was just, they never would have ventured off into, let me try this or something like that, you know? Yeah. Yeah, like the teamwork stuff too. Like so, in that example too, if you bring it back to the pipeline though, it's like, this dude's probably going to take a load of crap when he first gets there, no matter where he goes. But if he is who he is, right? If he is that hard worker, if he's looking out for a bail,
if he has that positive attitude, it's not going to take long before the guys that were like giving him a really hard time on his team, are going to find themselves getting checked by other dudes on the team that are other performers. You know what I mean? Like there's going to be a whole bunch of dudes that are like, oh man, this dude and saying whatever they say. And those guys are going to start to quit and then there's going to come a time that if they're still there, if this dude is who he is and he's performing, you know, he's a good teammate, he's all these other things, all that other stuff doesn't matter. You know, like you're still going to, everyone's still going to talk shit. You know what I mean? Like teammates talking, but the tone of it is going to change. And then they'll come a time where somebody still tries to like get on him about, you know, the way he talks or whatever else. And it's going to be like, yeah, well, just how it goes, they're going to be like, well, he beat you on the PT test and the Ruck and everything else. And he also helps out with the team gear. So what the fuck are you talking about, dude? So how are you shut the fuck up until you do half the shit that he does?
You know, yeah, because that's enough. See, that's great point too. Another thing is that, hey, we're allowed to pick on him. Or we're allowed to talk shit to him. No one else can. Yep. Because now that now there's a wall of, of homies behind him or in front of him, rather, that are like, uh-uh. He's one of us. Whether he's, you know, which you said, fruity or, or, or, you know, different or, you know, just maybe he's a little bit camp, whatever it happens to be, you know. Um, I don't give a fuck. He's still our guy. He's still one of us. And only we can talk shit. Well, and in the pipeline, you start to see that the separation. So like everybody comes, right? There's like 20 different categories of humans that show up or whatever it is. And eventually it kind of comes down to performers versus non performers. And while those non performers are still sticking around, they're the ones that are going to start getting told to F all the way off. If they're given the, uh, you know, regardless of how this dude is,
if he's a performer, the other performer is going to be like, nah, nah, you don't get to say anything. Like you're not going to be here that much longer. Go away, you know. Um, and then once, once you're on team, it's definitely that way. It's very that much, you know, I have younger brothers. I have older brothers. You know, no one's allowed to pick on my younger brother except for me. Really, you know, I do. I dealt with that middle school and, and, you know, I'll stick up for them. And then we get, when we get home, you know, I'm going to treat him like subhuman. But at school, you don't get to do that. That's 100% right. It's, it's, it's the same as a, you know, an older sibling that, you know, they, they fight. I'm just, I'm sure you fought with your, your siblings. I sure as hell did. And we would fight, fight, fight. Oh, I hate you. That kind of stuff. But if it came to somebody else on the outside, it's like, now your cross is fucking a lot. That. Yeah. Don't, don't do that. Don't, don't do that.
Which is why Steven still barely answers emails because he can barely read because Jared beat him up too much. That's what happened. I can't see. I can't see. Just the eyes crooked and everything. Yeah. So one of the questions about this too is, are we just boomers? It does everybody, like, what's the percentage of folks now that are joining the pipeline that are like in dev that have at least mentioned something like this in their profiles now? Like, maybe we're just, we could be misreading the situation, you know, maybe it's not a thing that happens as much as it used to where it was like a big deal of somebody said that they were going to do this. And it's on Instagram or TikTok or X or whatever they all used. Well, part of that I think is us, we have, we have told people, or at least I have anyway, get an accountability partner and, you know, whether that's somebody within your circle or you tell the masses so that it creates enough of a, hey, that's in the back of your mind
that when you do feel like, well, maybe I should quit. Or back on the set that you go, dude, the shame and embarrassment are having to come back and go, ah, guys, um, yeah, what's it like to be a controller for PJ or SR, tech, P or whatever it is? Like, actually, I quit. Now most of those people will go, well, yeah, man, got my knee. Yeah, you know, I don't know, it just, wouldn't for me or something like that, which is fine. A kidney not for you, which is why I got pulled for some specialist training at the farm, got injured, you know, it's, yeah, and we say it because it happened so much. Fuck, it happened so often. But that's, that's true. That was one of my first, um, successful success strategies is telling everybody that I was going to do something, right? Like, that was one of my first things that that ever worked for me in my life was telling everybody like, hey, hey, I'm going to graduate high school a year early. And it's like, are you though?
Are you, you know, then you have all that pressure. So like, it's hard to say like, if I had social media accounts, you know, and I was in the air for some like, hey, guys, I'm, and I'm such a, a douchebag, I probably would have been like, I'm going to go be special operations. What, you know, like, and maybe it's, it's just a thing that's not as big of a deal anymore. It, maybe I for sure would have posted on it. I for sure, maybe not posted on it, but I would have had it in my profile or something like that. To know, I think it's hard to put myself in that situation though, as a 17 year old going like, because I'm sure I would have done something what I would consider dumb now. I know I did plenty of stuff. Well, I didn't have like a my space profile until I was already on team. And so like, you know, you're getting indoctrinated with all the do's and do nots and like just the culture at the time, you know, like the mid early to mid 2000s. And then the military culture at the time too was different. So like, it's easy for old guys.
And this is just like a general thing. It's easy for old guys to be like, oh, these kids, these days posting all this stuff. When I was young, it's like, yeah, dude, you didn't have that. Like, everybody didn't have all these accounts. You know, all your friends weren't doing the same thing. You act like you, you're this like pillar unto yourself of a person that would have been the different one. It's probably not the case though. Yeah, not me, man. I would have been different. Yeah. Speaking of content. Right, Ralph. I have seen, I have received a video multiple times of the the little people, the dwarfs against the bodybuilding women. Have you seen this? Man, our algorithms are different or our friends are, or I'd have to actually check my DMs sometimes probably. Well, that's part of it. Okay.
Dwarfs, first, female giants. All right. We are not going to play this whole thing, but I just weird that Jared's bringing this up everybody. Right? It's weird. This video, video is what made Yeah. All right. I mean, dude, it's the volume is trying to come through. It's not sharing a screen or anything though. There we go. Here we go. A female giants. He's obviously not. And they are the world's strongest dwarfs. And they'll be competing in strength competitions all to find out who is stronger. Starting with one red max on the squats, we've got Maya, versus Lorenzo, baby. Come on Lorenzo. Play five point, up and up and up, whoever fails first, whoever can't keep up loses.
You're going down. Yeah. Yeah. You're going down. I'm going down. Starting off with just the bar. They don't fail over there. And while they warm up to some serious weight, I want to let you know that although these guys may look small, Lorenzo here has been known to squat over 700 pounds. I have a lot of faith in him. I think it's going to squat a lot. If it's a two-inch squat. Easy. Just go, Maya. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Oh, she's moving. The biggest thing is the range of motion is more or less better. But that's not the only question we're going to answer. You have some of these challenges that I have lined up in this video. Are going to answer some questions that you probably never even thought of. I got you. I got you. You're delta insane. Are you kidding me, bro? Well, can I? I guess. All right. So first off, the video's funny as hell. The chicks are in. I got to imagine that they are putting this on, but they're super annoying and antagonistic. Are they so? It is a tough 18-minute video to watch because of the women. Because they're just cringy talking shit.
And I can't even turn to the dwarves. Yeah. It's for the videos for the Clioxol I can't shit, right? Dude, seriously, how often does this get sent to you? This has to like flood your inbox. Tell it, which is why I brought it up. Yeah, I sure do. Do not remember what you guys. Yeah, the number of DMs I get about people like, is this peaches? Is this peaches? It's like, I get more DMs about you than, you know. Yeah. So yeah, that gets sent to me a lot. Now, spoiler alert. The dwarves, if that's what we're calling it, well, that's what the video says. Female giants first dwarves. Are they dwarves or they dwarves? What's the, I thought dwarves was like the plural of dwarf. It's F-D-W-A-R-F-S. It's dwarves. Okay. Color me corrected. That is how he has it still. So it's female giants first strongest dwarves.
He can spell however he wants. He had a great idea. He's obviously getting tons of views. He's got, it's got five, it was five days ago, and he's got 5.1 million views. Yeah, dude. Oh my God. The world is healing. You can tell because now we're having rooted out chicks versus dwarves competitions online. 2020 through 2024, you could not have made this video. I mean, yeah, you could have except. I bet you're over on blue skies or whatever people are really upset about it. The six people that are actually there are very upset. But I mean, it's the video itself is. Wait, do the dwarves smash them in the strength competition? They beat them in the squat and they beat them in the deadlift. Okay. And the, oh, and the farmer's carry. Or like the, yeah, well, not farmer's carry, but the like, fireman's carry, rather.
Nice. One of that, they pulled a G wagon versus G wagon. The women won that by a couple of milliseconds. That's just physics. Yeah, you know, levers and stuff. And especially with tug of war, they did a tug of war. And they also did this thing where, and I never, I don't remember what it's called, but essentially you, you sit, facing each other and there's a, there's a board and you put your feet on either side of the board. Like the woman would put her feet here to brace off of and you're bracing together. And then you have a PVC pipe or a stick and you're both holding it. And whoever, like, pulls each other over. Right. Yep. The, the women won that too. Yeah, and that's a leverage thing. Yeah. And that's not to take away. I mean, these, these women, for sure, song. A couple of them are just kind of tall and fit. They're not super strong, but some of them are absolute freaking monsters.
Is it okay to call a woman a unit? You know what I mean? Yes, absolute unit. Some of them may have had a unit at some point. Oh, yeah, but yeah, so this video has gotten sent to me a lot. Yeah, see here. I won't, I won't. Sometimes was it was it tacked P. Dill that sent it to you like at once a day? Well, of course, I want to share it too. So you can see here. So you can see here like, one of them's just really, really tall. Yeah, she's strong and tall. She's just tall. Yeah, she is. She is. So is she. Yeah. And she just looks fit, but not. Not super strong. Anyway, yeah, dude, it's pretty funny. I enjoyed it. But like I said, it's 18 minutes of funny, but at the same time,
you just like, stop with the banter because it's not very good. It's like watching, we watched, um, Fear factor with my kids, the old Fear factor. And you can tell that it's just, you get these people in front of a camera, and it's like, hey, the producers will like make it interesting. Talk a little bit of smack. And it's just the worst smack talk. You know, you're just, you don't believe it. I don't believe it. And if you do believe it, then you're the worst. You know, like you're just an awful human being. And you're showing it to the world. It's just gross. Yeah. It's, so there was another thing. We really mean it when we talk a little shit. You know, you know what I mean, Fat Tony? Uh, yeah, we do talk a lot of shit. Well, we haven't talked shit about him in a while actually. Yeah. Everybody members, we expect some Fat Tony memes. Bring it back, make Fat Tony memes great again. Where is, where is the knife?
Is he still shepherding people? Uh, probably. We need it. We should do a, like a weekly update on the members only of, where is our shepherd at? What are any, any social media updates? Is, is, will he, will he allow us to see any of his stuff? I don't know if he will. I wonder where he lives. Not like in a doxing way. I'm just curious. I, you know, I mean, I met his wife and had a, I said, had to. Well, yes, I did have to hang out with him and his wife uh, when they visit our unit for a good 12 hours or whatever. His wife was an apple sweetheart. Or at least that's how she came across, you know, um, and their daughter went to some school up in, up in Washington and stuff like that. I believe. Again, she was an absolute sweetheart, super nice and humble and all that kind of stuff.
He is you got to watch your peace and cues around him so much. You can't let loose. You can't be a real person. It's just, it's not great with him. I wonder what he was like as a lieutenant or a cadet. You know, I mean, like when, when do these people go wrong? Or was that the person that was always just like finding a mechanism for them to have power, you know? I, I mean, I know as a, um, um, as a wing commander or a group commander, he, that's where he got the knife named from. Because he was just firing people, firing commanders just just slice the knife. Which to be fair. So there's, there's, there's good and bad in everybody, right? And because I say here in AdWool complaint about, you know, wing commanders, commanders above that and everybody, the unwillingness to hold other officers responsible and to just fire people like,
people should get fired all the time in the military, especially these days. So there's probably some of that was good and maybe check it a little too far sometimes. Obviously in some instances, it was, uh, the judgment came before the investigation was done type of stuff, but, I don't know. More people than he had fired. I, I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you there. Um, I definitely think that accountability is important and we should be holding people accountable and all that kind of stuff. But it, it also goes both ways. It's not just, hey, an airman or an NGO made a mistake, a dumb mistake, and they should be held accountable for it. But when a full-barre colonel or a geo makes a mistake like, Mark Milley, you know, makes a mistake, gets people killed, not held accountable. Yeah. You know what I mean? Hey, people lost, lost their lives because of Mark Milley.
And we lost billions upon billions of dollars because of Mark Milley. Yeah, the super woke fatty, you know what I mean? Yeah. It's a, something's, and it's, dude, the worst thing about some of that stuff too, like when Mark Milley was doing all his stupid shit, people online and maybe they're bots, but it's like, you see those ribbons, you see those badges, you know what that man has done. And it's like, man, so we went through some courses and a long time ago, maybe he was, you know, capable enough to earn some badges. But that doesn't mean that he's doing good things as a general officer. Doesn't mean he's a war hero. Doesn't mean that he's a, a credible human of integrity. None of the, none of the shit on his uniform means that. And I think civilian, sometimes that, we've talked about it, some of the hero worship tendencies that support the military no matter what, that dude is not the military, you know, it's, that's not the, the NCOs and the Airmen and, you know, the people that are actually getting the job done.
That dude's a piece of shit. And it's okay to say that. So, man, you just reminded me of this animal. Steve fit, let me mute it real quick. So Jameson travels, I've seen this several places, but he's good, more, more on his channel recently. You're talking about the nettles and, hey, all of the back and stuff. Let me just share this now. So there was a prior seal, apparently, that, how do you know? How do you know? How do you tell? Yeah, I tell you. Christopher Beck, who did a social media post and took his... Is that the Hishi-Hee? So, yeah, I think so. I think, obviously, this person has some mental stuff going on. Yeah. Uh-oh. So right there is my military career. 20 years, maybe, CL. I wish I never did it. But the dude crisped back on one of the most brilliant minds that I've ever encountered.
I'm going to say some things here. They may bother some people, but it needs to be said. Nothing Chief Beck has reacting to here is new. The military didn't suddenly become a tool of the state. That reality has always been part of the agreement. You're all right now. They were in the list and they're all right now that they're in military. You guys are going to war right now against like a kid in greater. It's like a kid in gardener. It's like a professional football player going to play against Peewees. I'm not being mean against Venezuela. You know, great people down there. Awesome. I love them. Hey people, how about you? You know what? America, this is new security power. It's a big, big military career. It's right there, right? I don't want anything to do with it. It pisses me off. Wait, did someone make that for him? That's kind of a dick move. Yeah. Yeah, I got to imagine that it was gifted. Everything that's in my office right now, learned that you guys can see, it was all gifted to me. I'm going to take this flag right here. And I'm going to burn it because I don't agree with what the mill,
like I get the idea behind it, but geez, dude. Yeah. So, anyway, I know that this is a little bit different than what we were talking about. But in terms of when people see decorations and metals and all that kind of stuff, one, a lot of the time, it's because something went wrong and something did not go according to plan. And then a bad situation happened and a normal person did some extraordinary things to save people's lives, save his own life, whatever. Right? And that's what those metals are. Some of them, some of them. People, real ones know which are the real metals, right, or the real decorations, or what are you going to call them. Yeah, we used to have a thing where you could wear all some or none of your metals, right? And if you back then, if you noticed,
so like if I was only going to wear, if I was going to pick my metals from my thing that I cared about, I may be wearing two, maybe one. You know? Yeah. Like, the one that the first ODA put me in for has like, first of all, I'm not wearing my metals if I have the option because it's a pain in the ass. Second, but like the one that has value for me is like the first ODA, right? Because they didn't have to, like it was my first deployment, it's meaningful. It kind of represents a lot of the first experiences of a lot of things that I've ever had, but like I would probably only wear one. The rest of it's all just, hey, you stuck around, you know? Good on you, buddy. Some of my more participation metals. They really are. That's why it makes fun of the Air Force. You got a bunch of Air Force guys that walking around, looking like Mexican generals. And... Dude, you could just take the top two rows.
Yeah. Those are usually the ones that are kind of meaningful. But at the same time, you know, you get people that just because they're a certain rank, and they were deployed, and then getting a bronze star. You're like, that's kind of lost in this meaning where it's the weight that it has. You know? Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's, it, we, the whole system got pretty messed up for a while there. So like, when people look at like Millie or some of these other folks that it stuck around for a really long time, yeah, it doesn't mean much. It doesn't mean that they did heroic things. It doesn't mean, you know, so. And then there's this like this weird thing. When you become officers, you're eligible for at a certain rank or responsibility, or there's certain metals that only they get. So like it looks even more impressive because they have different ones and whatever that's stupid. Yeah. Let me see if I can find a picture, like a close in picture of Millie's rim rack.
Ooh, I got one. I know, my, I mean, my rim rack was pretty unimpressive. I'll, I'll say that. Okay. Uh, here we go. Well, look at this guy. Well, look at that fat piece of shit. Okay. Now I don't, goth is a really bad picture. Now I don't know what, can you view the, the file? What do you mean? If you hit that blue button, we'll just show you the picture like inside the website. No, because it just goes wiki. Well, there we go. That's better. Okay, there we go. So I don't know. Did it open up in a new window? Oh, shit. Yeah, it did. I'm a man. Still looking at the old one. Let me fix that. You're like, that's better. I'm like, is it, is it better? Well, this is amazing. There we go. Oh, yeah. I don't know. I don't know what those are.
I believe that's a legion of merit. Yeah, he's got three of those. That's a bronze star. He's got four of those. Those are some bullshit. I was a, I don't, uh, uh, a geo or full bird metals or something. Yeah. I don't know. This is a MSM. A military service metal. Yep. Yep. I'm just, I'm looking back at my, my room right. Yeah. Yeah. MSM, bronze star, legion of merit. And then that is army accommodation. At the campaign, metals, I don't know. I'm not sure what some of these level ones are. So, so here's a few things. So like, I haven't read his bio in a while, but he has like his combat infantry badge up top. Yep.
We've talked about this before officers going out to fobs, trying to get their CIVs. So I'm not sure what Millie did to get that. And maybe when he was a younger, much younger person, he did what was asked of him. Maybe earned it, but like the, the guy, like he's airborne, he got his dive call. He went to range of school. He did all the things that most army, like I think he was a green beret, right? Yeah. Such forces. He went to range school. He went to QS, your combat dies tooling. He went to airborne. So those are all pretty normal. Except outside of the dive. So apparently he was an okay swimmer at one point. But like, there's nothing that, like just looking at that, doesn't make him a special brand of human, especially 20 years later when he's running the entire military and making his shit decisions. Yeah. What a contrast though. And, and she cue Brown was not great either, right?
Was he as bad as, is Millie? No, but he had different, different things that were going on with him. Different initiatives that he had. Dude. Dude. CQ. So like, it's like, he did the whole baroque Obama thing, right? Like, you've made it. You're the guy. You're a pilot. CQ. You're a pilot in the United States Air Force. And you still want to talk about how, how hard it is for all these other people, you know, the do all the woke people of color stuff. And it's like, I don't understand. Like, you're at the top of the mountain. You're the guy. You're a pilot. Yeah. Yeah. You were. So what are we talking about? It was a, it was very, like, I think some of his initial ideas that he came in with, on the surface sounded okay. But he definitely fell in line with, and maybe it was just the time that he was there. Because if CQ was the guy right now, and he like got put in place today,
do you think it would be the same? I don't know. No, no. This is just a, just a guess. Most of these officers, they get to that point. Most, most of these bureaucrats, and most of your like high level bureaucrats and corporations, once they get to that point, they're all full of shit. They just do what needs to be done, so they can make it to the next echelon, the next level to do the next thing. They don't, they don't have a lot of strong opinions about shit that they share openly. Like, we have no idea what CQ Brown actually thinks about anything as far as I can tell. Okay. It's all bullshit, yeah. So I could be wrong about CQ in particular, right? But like, most of these folks that get up to that point, they're just doing what their boss tells them to do to get after the thing that is important today, based on whatever administration and whatever, wherever the most pressure is coming from, for them to look good to move up the chain,
because that is what they have focused on for the past 20, 30 fucking years, is moving up the chain, getting stupid, shiny shit on your uniform. And I'm sure, in the beginning, you told yourself lies about like, when I get there, I'm going to make a difference. Except that version of you got lost a long fucking time ago. All right. So there is CQ Browns. Yeah, sorry. Now you're good. No combat experience, at least decorate before, except for maybe this bronze star. Sure. Even the F-16 pilot for the duration of his career. I'm sure he's got a decent amount of combat hours, but... Yeah, I mean, how many deployments is that two GWAT deployments in there? Three maybe? Yeah. He was actually over there. And who knows what his role was when he was there too? That doesn't mean that he was flying when he was there. And I do want to caveat what I just said,
like, oh, he didn't even have combat deployments. That is not the mark of whether or not somebody is a good dude or is worthy or anything like that, right? That's not what I mean by that. What I mean is you have somebody who talks a lot of shit and you nailed it. You don't know what they actually mean or what they actually feel, because they're playing a game, and they're trying to appease everybody. So, you know, and in the interest of fairness here, I will bring up... And that dude, one of the problems with a lot of the folks that were in charge during GWAT and all that other stuff too, or even afterwards, it's like they were already like, Lieutenant Colonel's, you know, moving up in the management positions by the time the war kicked off. That one, you know, because it takes forever for these guys to get to these positions. And so, it's not like he was necessarily shirking his responsibility to go, you know, fly the F-16 and drop bombs or do whatever he's supposed to do.
And I reckon Afghanistan, like he might have just been in charge of the squadron at that point. So much of it is about timing. Yeah. Being in the right place, the right time, or wrong place, wrong time, if you so. Like, he's not extremely, you know, decorated, quote-unquote, Dan Cain, he might, but he has proven as the joint chiefs and as before being a joint chiefs, that people are willing to follow him. He's a good leader and a strong leader and he's a competent leader. Yeah, and at least he's straightforward. Yeah. You know, he's going to do what his boss tells him to do, but I don't get the impression that if I met that Raisin Cain, if I was like, hey, man, why are we doing this? He's like, well, we are run by the civilians and they want us to do this. So we're going to do it. It's like, well, do you have objections? He's like, yep, I gave him my objections.
They said, press, so we press. You know, like, just the impression that I get from that, dude. That's, yeah. Yeah, we've been giving our marching orders to go. Yeah, it's moral. It's ethical. Move on. You know, and or whatever we were told to move on. They said it's moral or ethical. Yeah, yeah, got it. It's it dropped a pile of papers on my desk with being like, okay, it's this giant joint op. It's actually a, we are just attachments to the, you know, the legal side of it, the all the other organizations. It doesn't matter. How about this? It's a legal order. How about that? Yeah, probably. Yeah. Which is why I have so much hardburn with the mart kelly. If I could do shbag. Not just him, like all of those, like he's just someone getting the brunt of it because he's the most slimey him. But I and he's making the most ruckus because he's pissed that he's
you know, that they're going after him. And I talked about this the other day actually on one of the daily drops, but that dude would never, never show up for an E4 or an O4. Officer or one listed that buck the system or or said, you know what, mart kelly, you're right. I'm standing up and I'm not going to do that because they would come in and they would hold that person accountable. And he would probably plead for mart kelly. I did exactly what you told me to do. And mart kelly's not even picking up that phone. His staffers aren't picked up that phone. No, no. And in the fact that he's being held accountable is so beautiful because one, accountability, we talk about it all the time, is extremely important. Well, and he was an admiral, right, which is like a general level, right?
I see never. Admiral, let me look it up. And so because there's a there's a weird thing when you're at the geo level, when you retire, there are like additional privileges and strings. Like it's not the same as like when you and I retired, where I'm actually retired kind of, it seems I'm pretty sure that it's a there's extra burmage in there as Geo's when they retire. He he was a captain, so he was no six. Oh, he's a shit. Captain, I made it. Okay. But I think even as a retired officer, there's still like certain things that you can be held accountable for, for like ever. So all of us can as long as you're receiving benefits from the military as in retirement pay. Yeah. Like we are, we are all subject to UC MJ. Well, all right. Now unless you don't take any VA benefits, you don't take any retirement, so by that and you just have a clean break, then you can say whatever you want. It'd be fine. I'll wait for that fast to get turned off.
So, you know, I mean, take that whatever you will there. But like you would have to do something pretty extreme. So like not only is he retired, O6, but he is also a representative or is he a senator? So there's a lot of things going on there. Yeah. But we would have to like, you know, go after like an insurrection, or you know, we'd have to do something pretty drastic for them to come after us. Yeah. It's I just, um, man, dude, I, I, because there are people out there, you know, E3Z4's, young officers that see that they're maybe a little bit of anarchist kind of mentality, maybe like, hey, like I like to see, I enjoy chaos. So I'm okay with that. But I'm, I just, the double standards, what bothers me.
And yeah, you know, I'm going to take three minutes real quick. That's a day and I'm old. And back. All right. Happy to see you back. I've only drank three monsters this morning. So, you know, dude. Anyway, I think it was a long week, dude. I was, I was on a work trip. I came home. I never sleep very well when I'm on a work trip anymore. Used to, there was a time when I was like an E4 E5. I could wake up and who knows where. And it was totally normal to not know where I was waking up at. And I slept as, you know, really, really well. And I'm just getting old and a little soft and bougie, you know what I mean? I getcha, I gotcha. Um, I think we're done talking about general officers and that kind of stuff. Now, I will, I do, we'll bring up a meme. It's going to pop. Yeah, there we go. How do I? Yeah, meme it up. So, this guy is a real person that he is a meme that everybody should be for.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, he does real quick. And nerds, the US military ever created. He looks like a chemistry teacher, but he's one of the most dangerous special operators in modern history. At 17, Mike Vining enlisted during Vietnam and trained in explosive ordinance disposal. Soon, he was crawling through booby trapped tunnels, rigging enemy weapons caches with explosives. On one mission, he used 300 cases of C4. The blast was seen for miles. He even survived a fiery helicopter crash, rescued hostages, crushed a prison riot, ran covert missions and helped destroy Iraqi bunkers. This is one of the most terrifying nerds the US military ever created. The dude is a fucking badass. What's great is he's got a book coming out called blasting through and he just recently joined X. Oh, yeah. Dude, so he's been posting a shit ton, right? And talking about his story and he's been saying,
yeah, I'll come on podcast, some like that. I invited him on the podcast. I haven't heard back from him. He invented like, we ain't getting Mike Vining on. But I mean, he's been on, he joined in December, just this past summer. And he's in 191,000 followers already. Bump those numbers up, everybody. Yeah. So make sure you go, if you're on X, go follow him. Retire, certain major, Delta Force, dude, EOD, dude, master badge, master breacher, and author of blasting through, which releases in August. So he is the meme. And the best part about it is, let's see here, his, his, his, uh, Alatar or whatever you want to call it, is, his, is the picture. Oh, nice. So that's him. But I tell you what, dude, it's so funny because some of the stuff that he posts on here are wholesome stuff like he posts, he posts.
This is a, uh, so that's him now. Barbie came out with a type one diabetic doll. And, and all the proceeds go to type one charity and stuff. I, he's posting about that kind of stuff. He's just given a history and his background. He's, he's got pictures of him and his wife doing stuff. It's just some of the most wholesome, I love this. This is fantastic. That's one of my all time favorites. It's just, I don't know, man, it's, there you go. There's one with him and his wife. So yeah. Well, I've seen some. Yeah, I've seen some interviews with him. He's like a humble dude. He loves talking about like his time in EOD. Um, you know, not, not like, oh, I was going for something better. He's just like, I just kept, you know, like, he had more to give. You know, he's just one of those dudes. It's like, there's just, you want me to do this? Okay. There's another step. Okay. I'll keep going, you know? Yeah. He's got, I know I'm scrolling here, but like he's got pictures from Vietnam and,
um, there was, of old, old EOD pictures of him as well. Yeah. Well, there, I mean, just it's, it's like going through the, the archives and it's just so cool. He's like, you know, dude, you talk about the eclectic people in our community in particular. It's like, look at that guy. He's a meme because no, like, everybody's like, oh, Delta Force, they probably are like a certain type of way. It's like, I'll tell you that you, if you met a lot of these dudes that have done the craziest things that you couldn't even imagine, a lot of them were just, like, they're fit. They're really fit, but they're not, they don't look like Arnold Schwarzenegger from Predator, you know? You mean people like Michael Ampy? Yeah. Michael Ampy. Michael Ampy and him probably are boys and probably know each other. Oh, yeah. I have to ask, she's flampy about that. But the guys back then, and I know the saying is, oh, they were built different, but
I mean, we've seen the old high schools in the 70s, right? How everybody's got their shirts off and they're doing monkey bars and everybody's fit and climate roads and so like that. We couldn't ever do that today. There's no way we can do that in today's age. I actually think a lot of those videos were like from like the competitions where the schools would send their fittest people to go do these things. But yeah, it just in general though, people, their diet, how many steps they took every day. I mean, they were still fatties back then too, but like the baseline, the average of American fitness was higher. It sure was. And I think almost more importantly, they're the worst thing that's ever happened, or the hardest thing you've ever done baseline, the average was higher. And I think that's a thing. It's like, you know, the physical requirements that we have and all this other stuff, it's important. But the hardest thing you've ever done in your life, the distance between that and like your selection or your basic training or anything else, that's going to, there's a success
gradient in there, right? Like the further way it is, the least thus likely you are to achieve success at the next step. So the closer you can get to that beforehand, it leads to easier success. Oh yeah, 100%. And that's, I want to be clear, we're not taking away from the next generation or the younger generations than us. Like I compare myself to every single one of the generations. And I think the next generation is fitter and smarter than I was when I came in without a doubt, because some of these folks are dialed in with their nutrition, dialed in with their sleep, they're not drinking alcohol, and they're just getting it after in the gym. And they prioritize that over partying and stuff like that. Now, there is a place for some partying, all right? Yeah. There's more to life than just hitting the gym every single day in the nutrition. Now, there's a healthy balance, right? But you got to be able to cut loose. You don't want to be a stick in the mud, which I have been called by my own family multiple times.
So. You too, huh? Yeah. It's so funny, because people are like, oh, what the trend used to do, he must be like a kind of a crazy dude. It's like, nope. Pretty boring, dude. So I used to go party at all the time. Like that, that was my, like I used to do the party or I saw during the weekdays, dude, we wouldn't wait for the weekend. We come in at 3 a.m. to begin on a weekday, show up to work. PT, like we were just, and you just got used to it. So that's what you do. I look back on it now and we're like, man, I could have performed so much better in Felt so much better if I didn't do that. I had a good time too. Yeah. Well, there's a give and take, right? It's, does that give you fuel? Because like you keep having fun. You're with the boys. You know, like, it's like I could have performed better. It's like, maybe, maybe that I'm sure you could have. But like, like you said, you find that balance between like the, your motivation, how much fun you're having and all that other stuff. It is funny.
I was on a podcast the other day with this lady that owns a gym. And she was like, I don't drink. And I was like, why do we feel like we have to like, apologize or explain to people when it's like, I don't drink alcohol. It's like, hey, I don't partake in the poison. And I feel like I need to explain my, I'm not a weirdo, you know, I just, I just don't think it's healthy for me. It's like, it's not healthy for you. It's like, if you were like, oh, I don't eat sugar. And you're like, oh, I have to tell people I'm not super weird because I don't eat sugar. You know, that's a weird thing. Well, the reason why I think that is is because anytime somebody finds out that I don't drink, they're like, oh, oh, you got a problem, huh? Yeah, you got a problem. You're not allowed to drink. You can't, it's like, no, I just, I don't, I don't like it. I don't like the taste, I don't like the feeling. I save a lot of money not drinking that kind of stuff. And I don't need to in order to have fun or, or relax or anything like that. But it's, I think, first of all, have you ever relaxed?
G-Wat Jared does not relax. Okay, you make valid points. Not over here. But, you know, it's, it's because we have to have that caveat in there because people are automatically go to, well, you had a problem. Yeah. To that point, like, one of the reasons I'm a little bit of a stick in the mud is because like, if I reach a certain point of like starting to get a little wild, like, there's a line that I cross where then everything is on the table. Like, all inhibits, you know, like, we're going. We are going. So I try to stay as far away from that line as possible because, you know, wife, kids, you know, flammable objects, whatever. Flamethrowers, whatever. Yeah. I did get a flamethrower for Christmas. Like, what those guns now with the propane that you just hear in the bottom, they're so awesome.
That's why, that's why I'm mentioned flamethrower. So our last stick in the mud before we get out of here, as I had to share these, these fucking this right here. What is the, oh, geez. This is, and you're taped, Nick Clint has, Myron Gaines, whatever his name is, I don't know these other dudes. But I had to bring it up because, except for, like, tape and maybe his brother, there's been a whole bunch of leg days that have been skipped. Boys. But come on, man, like, these guys are a bunch of douchebags, so I'm not, you know, but, holy shit, look at these freaking pins. What is this supposed to be like the male right wing influence base or something? Are they trying to replace, like, the Rogan sphere?
That was a thing for a little bit. I don't know. It's just, it's crazy. And before this or after that, they were, I don't know. So here's one of the things that, see, that reminds me of, like, if we were at a shot show, and someone's like, oh, you guys are part of the, like, because we've been, we've been called some things before, as far as like, you guys are the, are the blank, blank person of the Air Force. I'm like, we're not like those dudes at all. Oh, that, that was, you're like, you're like, for Air Force, like, nope, nope, I'm not. It's like the Sean Ryan for the Air, nope, nope. So, like, it's just, do the number of people that thought we were all going to be at shot show. I'm so tired of, I was so tired of getting those texts. Hey, bro, I figured you were at shot. Are you a shot? You come to shot? No. No, no, no, no, no. I do enjoy shot show, but I'm a social butterfly too.
So you're a people person, yeah. Yeah, so it makes sense that I would enjoy shot. If I ever go to shot again, and if it's not like a, if we don't end up with a company with a booth or something, which I don't foresee happening anytime soon, it might happen, whatever. I would like to go the last day. The last day when all the trick or treaters are gone, and the energy dies down. And then some of the people that I actually want to talk to have time to just roam around and be normal and everybody's a little tired, that, like, the last two hours of shot before they actually shut it all down. Yeah. Wasn't that bad. Every, like, the first day, never again. Never again. I think we did it wrong. I think what the right way to do it is you go there for, you know, you go there for the week or two days or whatever it is, but you're not doing what we did where you're just walking. I think it's got to be intentional. It's like, hey, I'm meeting this person. I'm meeting this person. I've got a meeting schedule that won with this person.
And I think that's where it is. Not just going in there and freaking walking around. And then, you know, yeah, we're going to go find T-Rex arms and see if I can pick them up with one arm. Yeah. So I think that's for funsies. We just did it wrong. I mean, yeah, it's just, and that's just the number of people and everybody's getting flagged all the time and I get it. Hey, more, there's no firing pins. None of these weapons are operational. I'm like, I understand that, but it still bothers me. Still something about a barrel pointing at me that just, yeah. This thing is I don't want to get used to it. You know what I mean? I don't want to be comfortable in that way around firearms ever. So I'm not going to go out of my way to turn that part of my brain off. Like, hey, man, for three days, just don't worry about it. No. Yeah, I'm not doing that. I mean, I lost it on the range the other day, on with two teenagers. Yeah. Because it wasn't bad, right?
It wasn't like they were flagging anybody. But instead of the weapon, like they were manipulating the weapon because they had a malfunction, instead of the weapon pointed at the ground and in the direction of the range, they had it pointed at the ground, but they were facing, you know, other people there. You see, so I was like, so I lost it, you know, quick spot correction and they were all, oh yeah, okay. You got this half-right, but half-right will still kill somebody when it comes to firearms, all right? So yeah. That's good. I mean, hopefully that's, that's, that's Jared being chief featured. You know, like it's you being like a person. Like, hopefully they remember that for the rest of their lives because they're going to, there's going to come a time when hopefully they keep shooting. And 20 years from now, they're going to see someone be making the same mistake and they'll be like, nope, nope, nope, nope, not today. Not today. So, all right, boys and girls, keep your, keep your barrels pointed down range. And what else would you ask for?
Mark Milley or Slythe the knife memes? Or are you out? We need updates on Slythe and I, Mark Milley. Go find Slythe. I'm more interested in him. Milley was whatever he's eating more than he should somewhere on some corporate board, spouting off Mark's principles. So, you can go fuck himself. Yeah. But I want to see, I want to see Slythe in a shepherd outfit. Yeah. Shepherd with flock. That would be hilarious if he actually ended up like just owning a farm and had a bunch of goats or something. Gush, Tom, to come on the ones ready podcast, we'll make sure Aaron's here. It'll be a civil conversation. All right, everybody. You guys have a good, later.
