0:00Whether you are a mom trying to save money, or a member of the armed forces deployed overseas trying to budget using another currency, smartphone apps can be great tools for saving. This is a money minute from InCharge Education Foundation and MilitaryMoney.com. If the word budget conjures images of hours of your life lost organizing receipts and staring at spreadsheets, then throw out that calculator. All you need nowadays is your smartphone. There are many low cost or free apps that will keep you in the smart spending zone. Depending on how tech savvy you are, you can opt for a simple one that will display the amount you are allowed to spend each day, week or month, or a more detailed version that will show you colored charts and graphs of where your money is going. There are currency converters to help you manage money while overseas, and apps that let you store receipts digitally, and others that alert you to upcoming bills before they're due, and remember to always purchase your apps from a secure and trusted website. This money minute is made possible by InCharge debt solutions. Visit us online at www.incharge.org.
