0:00simplify your budget in three steps. This is a money minute from InCharge Education Foundation in MilitaryMoney.com. Do you feel like you need a secretary to keep track of all your accounts and passwords? Research from Experian shows that people had an average of 26 different accounts online, but only five different passwords. Let's face it, keeping track of all those accounts is a challenge on many levels. Here are some suggestions to help you simplify your financial life. 1. Pay off your debt. Work on a schedule to pay off your debt. 2. Review your bills and cancel services you don't need. This is especially relevant for your cell phone bill and cable bills. 3. Use a password manager. If you're like most people, you probably use the same password for multiple accounts. A big no-no. A password manager is an app that stores and encrypts all your passwords in one database. A few good ones to try are last pass and dash lane. Multiple accounts can complicate your financial life and can open the window to misuse and fraud.
