InCharge Radio's Podcast — Be Picky About Stuff - Go Minimalist. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
0:00Be picky about stuff. Go Minimalist. This is a money minute from Incharge Education Foundation and MilitaryMoney.com. Do you own your stuff or does it own you? Have you ever paid attention to how much money and time goes into cleaning, storing, moving, fixing, and ultimately getting rid of your stuff? If you're feeling overwhelmed by all the clutter and the bills that go with it, consider adopting some aspects of a minimalist lifestyle. You may save money and be happier in the long run. Here's some things you can do to move toward a minimalist lifestyle. Never shop for shopping sake. Shop with a clear purpose. After you've researched prices online, defend your wallet against impulse buys with a shopping list. Consider a waiting period of 14 days before making big purchases. Buy experiences. Not stuff. Buy quality over quantity. It might cost more, but you will have nicer things that will last longer. Remember, don't buy it unless you really need it. And don't buy it unless you already have the money for it. It's as simple as that. This money minute is made possible by InCharge That Solutions.
