Shall we play a game? Hey Chad, did you know company career sites are the best channel for quality applicants? You know the ones who actually get hired? Oh yeah, especially compared to job boards. I just can't understand why more companies aren't maximizing their own career sites, especially when budgets are being cut. Dude, Compass gets it and they're not small potatoes. Being the world's largest food service company who hires over 150,000 people every year. And adding Dolly into their career site increased their conversion rate by 4x. That's right, same traffic with four times more high quality applicants. Wait, so Compass added Dolly. And suddenly started getting four times more quality applicants without increasing traffic? Yep, that let them finally break the enlist cycle of job board spend. And Dolly just works without having to do work. It's like my dream come true. It's plug and play with any career site, no setup, no training, no ongoing management. And get this, it goes live within days.
Say what? And Dolly is now offering a free 30 day pilot. Say what? Yeah, that's right. Dolly believes they can double your career sites conversion rate in just 30 days. Just head on out to dolly.co. That's D-A-L-I-A.co to learn more. If you want a solution to the quality problem, this is your best move. A Chromico Marshall? Son of a bitch. Hi, it's your kids. Lock the doors. You're listening to HR's most dangerous podcast. Chad Sawash and Joel Cheesman. Hi kids, it's Cole Cheesman and I'm bringing you the shred for the second week of April 26th. The shred is a weekly roundup of what's making headlines in the road of employment. The shred is brought to today by Job Case. The online community will work as of all kinds, like hourly employees, straights people, and healthcare technicians, access jobs, make connections, and support each other in every aspect of their work life. Job Case has over 100 million workers on their platform.
So if you need to hire, you probably need to talk to Job Case today. Learn more by going to jobcase.com forward slash hire. Again, that's jobcase.com forward slash hire. And now to the news in no particular order. In March, 2026, the U.S. added 178,000 jobs, far exceeding expectations and lowering the unemployment rate to 4.3%. While healthcare and construction saw gains, experts warn of high long-term unemployment and potential instability due to ongoing geopolitical conflict and economic uncertainty. Indeed, it has appointed Sean McSherry as chief financial officer. A veteran of the company since 2012, McSherry will oversee global finance, strategy, and planning. His leadership focuses on sustainable growth and innovation as AI becomes central to indeed's mission of simplifying the hiring process.
Another one. Jack Dorsey and Rolloff Boata argue that AI were replaced traditional middle management by creating a digital world model
to track data and decisions. Companies can flatten hierarchies, eliminate information bottlenecks, and allow small teams to focus on intuition and the edge of innovation. Another one. JP Morgan CEO, Jamie Dimon, predicts AI productivity will eventually shorten the work week to 3.5 days, while acknowledging potential job displacement. He urges young workers to prioritize emotional intelligence, curiosity, and human connection to thrive, in an increasingly automated and complex professional landscape. Another one. Schomburg Illinois-based Paylossity has acquired a land-based grey scale labs to enhance its recruiting platform with AI-powered automation. The deal aims to accelerate high-volume hiring and improve candidate engagement by embedding intelligent workflows into Paylossity's HCM finance and IT suite without impacting its 2026 financial guidance.
Another one. LinkedIn faces class action lawsuits and claims from German Group Fairlinked for allegedly spying by scanning users' browser extensions. While Fairlinked calls a corporate espnage, LinkedIn maintains the practice is a disclosed security measure designed to prevent illegal web scraping and protect site stability. Be sure to tune in to the weekly show for this, and more news and commentary from the world of recruiting. Big thanks to JobCase for supporting the shred. No matter the size of your company, you can quickly find great workers in the JobCase community, whether you need one employee around the corner or want to hire hundreds across the country.
