Should PM Carney restore 24 Sussex? Why it could backfire

In the second half, they examine Prime Minister Carney's comments relating Brexit to the separatism movement in Alberta. They analyze how his comments risk undermining Premier Smith's efforts to keep Alberta in Canada. They also make the argument that the prime minister's condescending rhetoric feeds anti-Alberta sentiment in central Canada and complicates the already difficult task of persuading conservative Albertans to vote against a referendum on independence this October.
