Shedeur Sanders Leads Browns QB Race

0:00On April 3rd, Shader Sanders looks like the frontrunner for the Cleveland Brown starting quarterback spot heading into training camp. The athletic Zach Jackson says he's stronger than ever in that belief, putting Sanders ahead of Dishon Watson as the top guy. Jackson points out Sanders is younger with three years left on his rookie deal, making him the smart short-term play, even if he's not the forever. Answer. Watson's dealing with the torn Achilles from last fall that sideline him all the 2025 and neither lit it up in limited action last year. Brown's owner Jimmy has them gave Watson a shot by saying he has a great chance to compete under the new staff. Hit coach Todd Monkin isn't digging deep into Watson's old film since it doesn't show what he can do now. Sanders fell short-change last off season without a real shot to prep, but this fresh system could let him shine as a legit NFL starter moving forward. Voluntary minicam hits April 21st through 23rd, then OTA's kickoff May 19th. We'll know more soon enough.
