Shanahan vs McVay: Rivalry Heats Up in Australia

The Rams get to call it their home game down under and Shanahan sees zero upside and flying the whole team across the world just to kick things off. Earlier this week at the owner's meetings, he flat out said there's no pro to it. He even dropped the he knows for a fact the Rams pushed a lead to make this match up happen, which has him extra salty since his squad's already. Got another international home game lined up in Mexico City, that rivalry heat is real, especially with the 49ers owning the Rams at SoFi Stadium lately. Shanahan gets why they'd want to dodge the silent count nightmare there, but he's firing back by requesting the Rams as their Mexico opponent. There's fair he figures, make them travel out of the country twice too. Meanwhile, Rams coach Sean McVeigh plans a quick and an out trip to Australia, expecting the 49ers to arrive first.
