About this episode
This is a short talk that is advice to all the Muslims seeking knowledge. A lot of us get caught up in motivation, and we do not realize that motivation can only take us so far. Motivation tends to run out when we run into difficulties. This is why it is imperative we possess the ability to discipline ourselves. Self-discipline is when we make ourselves do the things that we have to do when we do not want to do them. Everything is easy to do when we want to do it. When we want to clean the house, it is easy. However, if we are in the middle of a good book, cleaning the house becomes tedious because we do not want to do it. The results we are looking for in life cannot be found in the actions that we enjoy doing; the biggest results we will find stem from actions we made ourselves do even when we did not have the desire to do them. May Allah increase us in obedience and knowledge.
