Are you ever tempted to unplug from other believers? Well, I got tired of just jumping from church to church to church. Now, it's just me and God. Can you have an independent relationship with God without other people? Here's the way I look at it. And it'd be pretty foolish for me to go walking alone late at night in a dangerous part of town. But it would be different if I were with a group that included some big guys who could protect me. As I pursue holiness, I'm weak and have a lot of limitations. So God has put people in my life to protect me and to help me grow. Disconnecting from God's people from the church would make me as vulnerable as a sheep away from its flock. As you grow on holiness, be sure you stay plugged into the lives of other believers in your local church. Their prayer and accountability can protect you when you're weak.
