We'll pop those up as we go along. But one week in, it wasn't the sexiest week one. I think 90% of the conference didn't really play anybody good. But overall takeaways, guys, we'll just open it up. Who impressed you most whether it's the player or a team? I'm going to go ahead and just say it out loud, everybody. Tomorrow, yeah. God, that is a beautiful throwing motion. Just everything about it was, I hate Jeff Levy sometimes. I hate Jeff Levy all the time. So there's that. Well let's look. Camario Taylor is probably the answer. I mean, I think the most obvious answer is at least you.

3:05But Camario Taylor, he did some things. I'm going to tell you something. They're going to get somebody they shouldn't. I just hope it's not the Crimson Todd. And what is unfortunately Alabama plays them in a couple of weeks. And that's going to be a thing. I mean, the cowbells, they'll go up there. They'll probably win it in Minnesota this weekend, I think. They're going to look good. But I really think the answer is much as many of us would hate to say it based on last week and the last week and half, it's LSU. I mean, they just beat Clemson into submission. And I got some other thoughts on Clemson later on. But man, they just, they've got to be the answer. They pummeled them. And overall, I mean, I think you say what's the most impressive? How about the SEC going undefeated? I know some of them were soup cans. That's still a big deal. And then in the 1997, which 12 teams back then, so 16 now, it's interesting. I was talking to Brandon before we got started. Do you guys know, after one week, who leads the SEC in passing?

4:08Is it Brandon Faeson? It is Camario Taylor with the Cormorio. Yeah, 354 yards. Trinidad is second with 336. Arches third with 305. Kenny Minchee, 301. And Aaron Filo, fifth with 275. So again, it's, you got to take all stats of the grain of salt. It's one week and most everybody was quite cupcakes. But just pretty interesting. Camario Taylor, I know everybody's kind of said he's the scary quarterback. You don't really know what you're going to get from this to be state. Yeah, he did it. Did it be if you were to just right now go into bubble wrap and say, I'll go to the high pass bidder next year in the transfer port. Not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all. This week one to me was exactly what I anticipated the SEC doing. Literally every team that I thought was going to have a perform, they performed Kentucky. I think it's going to have an up year. That was an incredible game for them. They looked good. Camario Taylor, holy G.C. He actually exceeded you exactly right. LSU was going to steamroll. Will steamroll through the six for six, seven, eight weeks of the season.

5:11They hit the back half. But everybody kind of looked the way that we did. Alabama even looked the way that we did with a questionable offensive line that needs to get worked out with talent everywhere on the roster. So for me, I feel good about, let me just brag about this crew here. So far, we're kind of on point with what we thought was going to happen. Gentlemen, good job. Oh, and just this. Browse Bowers, Ryan Karnett is in Georgia and he all screwed. He can't keep getting away with this. Yes, he can. Yes, he can't. No, he can't. Nope, I'm here for it. Let's react real quick since we got Steven with this. Steven, what did you make last night? I think we're all a little, we expected Trinidad to be good. It took him all while I get going. He was good. The Kiwan Lacey and Drew's one were going to be watching. They do get Charlotte this week. So they could rest him up for the LSU game a week, three of need be. But a little bit of a leaky defense. Would you make over all the team?

6:12Well, two of the secondary players didn't end up playing one of them got scratched before it started. Shreep Denson, who was a starter in the slot corner position. And they had to move in some freshmen, some young guys, and to the back end of it. And they just kind of messed up. Everyone Joseph did not have a good game. Anthony Robinson did not have a good game. But that's all stuff that can be cleaned up, or at least it better be cleaned up by 9.19. But I was excited because the first half was terrible. I mean, you saw like just sloppy, sloppy ball all over the place. Second half, 31 points, Duce Alexander, SEC code offensive player of the week. The offense started to look familiar to what Ole Miss fans have seen over the last five or so years. So basically, my opinion on this is this was the Ole Miss versus Arkansas game a year ago. If you even look at the score, if you look at the way the half's played out, if you look at all of that stuff, that is just that.

7:12And you ended up coming out of that, beating LSU and going 11 and 1 that season. So I don't see any reason why that isn't still on the table. And they did what they had to do. I will say this, Trinidad's the best quarterback in college football. That was some unbelievable throws in that game. Yeah, Trinidad was cooking. That was one of the second half was so much fun. And I still can't believe you had three out of four scores go for 62 yards. Like, what are the odds of that? Can we figure out the numbers behind this? Because when I saw them, like, no, this is not real. I went back and I'm like, whoa, 62 yards on three of four score. And there's like a field goal in the middle, which ruined it being three in a row. But yeah, both teams decided to air it out. And they kind of exposed each other's secondary. I'm kind of curious to how each team settles down on the defensive side going forward. But overall, it was a lot more fun than watching that West Con in Notre Dame game. I'll tell you that. Yeah, we'll see this really quickly. Because sometimes a comment just comes across and it's glorious.

8:15Sheriff 6297 in the comments a while back said, little John calm down when referring to Jay Smith as a little John Lico like, and I can't stop saying calling you little John from here on out. That is it. That's who you are in the discussion. I think he said he would go to that. That I'm not getting was it L.I.C. L.E. He didn't say L.I. No, it was it was it was little one of the little. Okay. Yeah. What? Stop it. Yeah. From that game, though, one thing that you need to watch is the key one, Lacey injury, the right tackle went down in that game and also the starting line back or went down. A lot of the bust and things that happened in the second half happened because of injuries that went on earlier in the game. And that could be the strength and conditioning thing going into the season. You play in the first week. If you start getting these soft muscle injuries in a game, that's a problem just as much as anything else. Somebody brought up to the field turf at Nissan Stadium.

9:16College players, a lot of our, aren't used to playing on that. So that that could have been a factor as well. It is interesting though, guys, leading the SEC through week one, it's due to Alexander in receiving with 159 yards. My only takeaway was Steven, they spread it around a lot last year. Like it was struggling one week. It was this guy now. Who's going to be that number two? I guess one game, Caleb Oden looked really good at tight end, but I want to see, you know, we talked up those other receivers and Ole Miss. I want to see one of those guys step up and, you know, have a big game next week. Yeah, Caleb Oden kind of became the second option for Ole Miss. Whenever they need it, big throws, he was the one over the middle of the field they were looking at. I was confused because Ole Miss, even though he was an alpha dog all through fall camp and all we heard about it, there was one target to John Tay Cook in that game. And that is interesting. And Horatio wheels did have five catches, but there is two. There probably does need to be a third and maybe a fourth because that is a staple of what this offense has been. I wanted to bring up this comment again real quick.

10:17This guy said Auburn and Ole Miss shouldn't have lost. And I just, I can't help but say yes, they were in close games, closer than probably. A lot of people thought, oh, Ole Miss was one score line, but Auburn was the heavier favorite. But I can't help but say like Auburn lost all those one score games last year. They finally won one. So what did you guys make of the Auburn Baylor game? I know sloppy, Byron Brown didn't play great through three picks, but what was your takeaway with Auburn? It's not great. This is who we thought Auburn was going to be. It's what Auburn fans convinced themselves every single year. It's diagnosable at this point. Go seek therapy. I have hotline numbers for you because it's really, really bad. This is who Auburn is every single year. New coach, new quarterback. This is the year. This is some yada, yada, yada. The culture is rank in Auburn. It is horrible and disgusting. And you can say one win or one possession wins. It's Dave Rand and Baylor and DJ Lagway on a literally in a cast.

11:21Literally, the man is running around in a hardened cast out there. You could say yes, they won, but there were so many reasons. Week one shows deficiencies more than anything else, I think. And you show up and you try to be good. Baylor showed a lot of deficiencies. Auburn showed a ton of deficiencies. And so yes, you get week one win, but the rest of the season, I feel horrible about if I am an Auburn fan. Yeah, I'll say this that one thing I think you hit the nail along the head here with the culture thing because as a guy who grew up very close to Auburn, but has always been a huge Bama fan. Auburn people usually show up. There was nobody there at the Mercedes dome. It was imp. And that to me was a signal that people are a little tired of all that's been going on. And it may, again, maybe gollish can get through it and change the culture. But right now it certainly isn't changed. And I think Brandon will back me up here that that game was, if you just want to say, hey,

12:21describe DJ Lagway's career for me. You just sure that game. That's it. Because he'll do something on fourth and 15 where he'll throw a pass to a guy. It goes right between two defenders and right into his arms. And then all he's got to do, if he just loves it, like just a little basketball alley hoop, he throws it ahead of his tight end. They win instead. He's trying to got it. The guy has to turn around. Eric Winters made a fantastic play defensive player that we shouldn't be. But at the same time, it should have been a two point conversion. It was a great play call. Everything was correct. And DJ Lagway could have changed the way people look at him. And then we all go, yeah, that sounds about like what DJ Lagway would do. Yeah, not my problem anymore. Appreciate bringing him up. But I need to turn myself with it at this point in time. Thank you very much for that. Some people may have forgotten him last year. He may have thought some other people forgot him before. But he hoped he still, he still, still that guy. And I don't think Baylor was a good spot to.

13:22I don't think if you go, hey, I need good coaching, Baylor's where you go. Especially you. Eric, please do me that. Best you go in a place that the coach is also on a very much hot seat, a very, very hot seat. So you're going for one hot seat to another hot seat in hopes of being the savior of it. Didn't look like there was a chance. Auburn kind of surprised me. I thought they would have executed better. Because I do like Goch. I thought it was a good hire. You brought a guy who's coached in the SEC before. So he has an understanding. You hung on to a really good defensive coordinator who did solid work. And they weren't solid on the defensive side. But I mean, I'm trying to figure out if Auburn was going to be a good player. Good on defense or was it lag way that made them look really, really good on defense? I'm not sure at this point the way both teams kind of played out there. But yeah, bottom brown. That was a lot worse than I thought. I remember seeing him at US self playing some games. I'm like, not bad. It looks like if he just levels up with Alice Goldis, is your coach, you deep numb. One other thing. One other thing, it was sort of reminiscent. You remember when Les Miles played his first or coach his first game at LSU and he came

14:24out with those Janet Jackson control video earphones. Yeah, he's got up there like, I can't hear a thing. Yeah, no kidding. You're reading earbuds in Death Valley. Good luck with that. But Goldis tried a fake punt on their 36. He would have been much better off trying to fill gold with a pretty good fill gold kicker. And everybody in the world knew it was coming. And it wouldn't coming. They wouldn't going to hurt anything. So they just planned for it. It was such a mistake that you wondered, oh God, is he going to get this? That was really, really bad, a really bad decision. And I think that also did it some confidence of some fans. Yeah. And look, you almost wonder too of how the game played out. That's kind of what Auburn almost had to resort to playing a phone booth a little bit. Goldis took the blame. He said the three picks were on the coaches. They were trying to push it down the field still and I were made a couple of bad throws. But I think at the end of the day, he made the plug.

15:27He took them on the drive that they needed at the end of the game. And then the defense let Baylor make some plays. It's a big fourth down to keep the game going. But they came up. I mean, dude, that tackle on the two-plugabers, you can't get any closer than that. No, no, that was way for them. And it was good on the coach to take the blame and shield his quarterback. What he was doing there and good on him as he should. But also, if it's your fault after the first, after the second, and then after the third, you're just protecting your guy. That you should have done different play calls. And Fumi won, shame on me. Fumi, why is he coming now? What are you trying to do here? Auburn, as we thought they were, they're going to, he's got to develop. I think they'll get better. But not to make Fumi level living. You can't, you can't fool me. You can't fool me. Yeah, I was kind of surprised at how the lack of confidence on the offensive side of the ball from the Auburn Tigers in this game. I did expect to jump up from the Huffares thing. But if that situation happened when Huffares is the coach, it wouldn't be shielding

16:28by him brown. It would be throwing him straight under the bus. I wanted to see them some true freshmen, some guys who were on the roster last year, but first time starters, some transferring in. Look, I want to start with Alabama because they were the early game on Saturday playing ECU on the big stick on ABC. I thought Kiel and Russell delivered, man, I think his wheels, his legs, I mean, I think he's even more mobile than I initially thought, but what a weapon, buying time with his legs. Ryan Coleman, William still some drop sees early on, but he settled in and had a big day. Yeah, first of all, I think Kiel and Russell is going to be everything we thought he was

18:33going to be. He just looks so natural out there. Yeah, there's some things that he could have done this. He could have done that. I'd like for him to slide a little more. But as I told Jimmy on the podcast that I dig the fact that he's trying to get the X-Sure right now, you went over your teammates that way. Then pretty soon your teammates, once they believe in you enough, they'll say, we want you to slide. We'll take care of the rest. You slide. I think right now he's trying to win everybody over. I think he's doing a great job of that. He threw such a pretty ball. Occasionally, you'd like him to take a little bit off of it. Ryan Coleman, William's. Jimmy and I have called the Lockdown Bama podcast or Ryan Williams podcast for the longest time. If we're on the precipice of not being that anymore, but at the same time, he was targeted 10 times, five catches, 130 yards. People keep saying he had two drops. He did, but only one of them counts because the other one was called back because of an offensive penalty. So it didn't really hurt Alabama. I don't know. I ran into Adley, Joey Jones, who was a former Alabama wild receiver back in sort of the

19:37bears slash Perkins days. Just a great guy. I ran into him at the car wash day. He noticed me from the podcast and said, would you think? And I said, I don't want to ask you what you thought about Ryan Coleman, William's. I mean, you didn't drop anything. I mean, it seems like he said, man, I don't know. He said, it's just in his head. And I don't know that there's a way to get it out until it's out. I mean, it's like having the yips and golf or shooting a free throws poorly or whatever. You can try taking off your gloves. You can try putting on one glove. You can put on a different undershirt. You can change your number, add a hyphen to your last name, do all those things. In the end, it's still the same two hands. And you've got to try and catch it with your body. And you've just got to get it out of your head. But it's so funny because when he does catch it, he's amazing. But when he doesn't catch it, there's nobody around him. And he's like, what is going on here? So it's frustrating. But Keel and Russell, yeah, he's got, he gives me Kamari Taylor vibes right now. Yeah, this is going to sound really bizarre.

20:38And I don't mean this offensively to anybody but Florida. But he is, to me, what Anthony Richardson was supposed to be. Like, he's the version of Anthony Richardson that has the incredible arm talent. When we saw Anthony Richardson, the game were like, okay, but we see Russell out there like, oh, no, that is what was advertised. He's going to get the feel of the game. But I saw just like natural ability and just being out there for a freshman in that game. Holy smokes. He's going to be a real one. I'll be happy. Be happy. Yeah, absolutely crazy what happens when you don't have a Billy Napier running your offense or entire program. Ridiculous. Who could have ever thought that that would be the case that you all have said and you leave him. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. So yeah, thanks. By the way, thanks for bringing that up. That was good. I was on the last time of my life and you brought it up. Thanks for you, buddy. All right. Thanks for your hearts. That hurts. I love it. What did you guys make of?

21:41Okay, good, good. Yeah. I was going to say I really did like Keelan Russell's performance just as a young player going in and playing and trying to figure things out. He wasn't awful. That was the thing that made me feel reassured is that he wasn't awful. That's the only thing that mattered in this startup game. We'll really get to see the test of him next week and just see how he plays. But as you mentioned, Luke, him fighting for extra yards, it really does resonate with the teammates. They like a guy that's willing to put his body on the line sometimes. Now you're in it. CCU, don't put your body too much on the line in this game. It's not one you need to be doing it for. You've got 11 more games left. But he did. He won everybody in the locker room, which is the most important thing. And we'll see. I said, you got Kentucky coming up. That's going to be a lot more interesting than people realize, especially after what Kenny mentioned this week. Yeah, I'm going to give you guys. I never thought I'd say I'm worried about Kentucky. I'm telling you the appolite tour will start now when I said this and you all mocked me. We really did.

22:41We really did. Now we're really did. For those who didn't watch it, I did watch. I watched all 16 games and went back and watched replay of several, but I watched Kentucky live with Alabama. I was watching both at the same time. And Kentucky's online is way better than it was last year. It's that big blue wall again. They CJ backstored the transfer running back from Texas, former five star for years ago. He is a physical runner. They are way more physical up front. And Kenny Minchee is a much better quarterback than any of the guys that Kentucky sat in recent years. See verse still finding guys guys. They have three tight ends. They were like they were on a two tight end sets like most of the games. So they are big and physical. I'm a little worried about the defense. They did play without their two starting corners in this one, but the Youngstown quarterback did have some big plays. But I just almost wonder guys is this a shootout. I know Alabama's secondary is going to be good. They didn't give up one bus to play to ECU early in the game, but I almost wonder is this

23:42going to be up, you know, instead of like a 17 10 type game, is this going to be a game in the 30s, maybe? It would be shot me. It would shot me at all either. Yeah, if it turns into a shootout, we would be very entertained, but I would imagine both of those coaches would be pulling their hair out. Yeah. And you talk about like it's the big games. He's not how, you know, K-1 Dubois not had a hard time getting up for Georgia and LSU in the big games. It's the six and six type teams of the ones that he's kind of let it slip against the last couple of years. Yeah. We've had some of the worst losses I can remember outside of the Mike days, the several Mike's. But, you know, in the end, the further away I get from this game, the better I feel. Initially, I was thinking, gosh, I don't know how much better we looked. And then I started watching some replays and you're right. The one touchdown was the bus. They were moving fast.

24:43It was a mistake. You have early in the season. Okay. I think we're willing to forgive it. And then we had a bad turnover because Ron Goldman Williams didn't know he was getting the ball. He tried to take the blame later for that. I think he was clear. He didn't know he was supposed to get it. But other than that, the defense was fantastic. And ECU is not Laman Rowe. I mean, again, I'm not trying to say ECU is going to the playoffs, but they are not Laman Rowe. So it's not like you could just name your score against this crowd. And now I'm going to open up 48 points. That's true. Good point. Brandon, give me a thought on your Aaron Filo quarterback point. I thought he played pretty well. I think he did his job. I've been saying I want to point guard. I think he played point guard there. The interception was out on him. Hit Mike Amaze in the chest. And you just got to reel that one in. And so yeah, I think he did his job. I think that I'm obviously someone that's been pretty critical of him throughout this whole process, I think.

25:43And I'm pleasantly surprised by it. I think that he didn't have to make a lot of plays to win. But when he did have to make plays, he made them. And at that point, what more can I critique you for? I'm sure there were things he did wrong that they are bringing up, but he played clean football. They kicked ass. I don't really have many complaints coming out of that game. And my God, does it feel good to be able to say that? Because she's, it's different. Florida is back to being at least a respectable football program again. And I will also just say this. That atmosphere on Saturday night was absolutely incredible. It was very clearly a well thought out presentation and production to go have the crowd. And the music was different. They had the drone show at halftime. It was awesome. I won't back down. It's won't back down. So it's going to be cool as hell. But it just felt nice to be like, all right, we're embracing attitude again. And John Someral said, at least bringing that.

26:45Hopefully the winds come with it. But it just feels different right now. And that's good enough for me. Yeah, we talked about Camario Taylor, the leading passer in the SEC right now. We talked about do Sal Alexander, the leading receiver in the SEC right now. The leading Russia is Jaden Boff from Florida with 160 yards on the ground. So I get real quick on. Go ahead. Real quick, Chris. You know, it's going to get lost in the shuffle because not next week, but the week after next, the 18th weekend, you know, you got Ole Miss and LSU. And that's going to steal all the line light. Alabama F issues that day. There's a couple other big games. Auburn, Florida is going to be absolutely monstrous. And I doubt very many people are going to watch it. I am. I mean, I'll have it on one of the TVs. But it's going to be a really fun game. And that's a huge opportunity for both teams. I'd feel a little bit better if I were Florida right now. Oh, we do. Don't worry about that. We do. Well, and Auburn will be at home that game.

27:48So we know how good they are, you know, playing at home. Real quick, guys. Just want to give a thought. If anybody saw a phase on Brandon, I thought he'd well for being a true freshman. That was just in high school, being thrust out there. But my Tennessee friends, that's exited. They were like, he's just okay. Yeah, he could have done better. So I don't know. Is that might be in weird being on the outside going? I thought he played pretty well. Your bar is high for Hoopal and freshman QBs. You're used to it. Yeah. An incredible thing from day one. He looked okay. And yes, he did look like a freshman kid. He just played high school and is now playing on a big all that's true. But it hasn't been that way in the past, which is what makes you think that and but it makes maybe Tennessee fans think that I thought that same exact thing as well. He'll be fine, but I was expecting more. Maybe that's unfair. I don't know, but it's what I was expecting and what I've seen for. And when his last time, like, Hyples had a freshman go out there and play, like even in his coaching career, that's that's a little bit more challenging than people realize.

28:50You've got to get him to settle down. The biggest thing is most of them go out there on that first few snaps and they just kind of like they want to go super fast and they want to make sure that they don't make any mistakes to the point that they make mistakes. It's like slow down, dude. Let the game come to you and Hyples really good at his job. But at the same time, I thought it was good enough for a true freshman. I didn't just I just didn't think that he was a world beater. He's not out there just running around just dominating. He wasn't sure that chambers put it that way and I didn't expect him to be at that level yet. It's going to take time. It's going to take him a little bit, but planning his farming. Yeah. I was satisfied with the way he looked. I'll also just say I feel like that office, like the more time in there, the more comfortable week, the much better. Mm-hmm. You get there for true freshmen. That's game one. Like, you're going to get a lot better. It's fine. So you work on that timing, you improve there. As much as it's like, you know, a Mickey Mouse ass offense. It still is what it is. They can go out there. They can work on their gimmicks. But when you get really good at gimmicks, you get really good.

29:54And so he's going to be incredibly productive. Unfortunately, that offense does not develop anybody for the NFL. So that's very unfortunate for all the quarterbacks and receivers in those systems, Auburn. But hey, it is what it is. It's going to be really productive. All right, fellas, let's get into it. Game I was at on Saturday. I got to spend Saturday morning with the college game day crew. That was really cool kind of behind the scenes, seeing how all that works, by the way. It never ceases as to amazing how big that operation is and how they pull that off. I mean, it's insane. They're out there in the dark setting stuff up with all these college kids going nuts so. That was really cool and then being in in Baton Rouge and Death Valley for Blank Giffin's debut game lived up to the hype and then some I think, you know, way better than anybody expected. We'll get Steven's thoughts in a minute, but the rest of you guys, what did you think of? Let me let me open up for everybody on this one.

32:58So watching this game initially, I was pretty excited yet the interception by LSU, which led to a Clemson field goal is like, okay, we go have a little bit of a battle here. Then LSU gets a field goal is tied LSU scores a touchdown. I'm like, cool. And then they put the TVMA sticker on front of the screen and literally was BTA the rest of the way. I was in shock to watch Clemson get destroyed like that. And I was in shock mainly because Clemson's got the players on their roster. Granted, they broke a card in the rule. You never circle back and retread a coach after they left and things weren't all that great when they were there. Remember Chad Morris left Clemson. Tony Elliott took over. They won national championships. You bring the dude back? No. And I'm not sure what time Alan is doing out there with the talent that's been placed in front of him. I got so many questions about that guy going forward like what are you doing? That was an embarrassment and LSU. Hey, man, Lane Kevin can coach.

33:59Period. We've all known that. I was just impressed. I kind of figure out is LSU really that good or is Clemson just that awful because we know Lane can coach, but my goodness, they should have put a warning on there. Hide the children and the women because that was terrible. That was terrible, but I did enjoy watching Debo lose. Debo losing is always glorious. Clemson is that bad. Debo has been a stale coach for years. Has no clue how to adapt and has no clue how to recruit and develop offensive lying talent in the past has been generational quarterbacks. That's what Clemson has had generational quarterbacks that happened to be at the same school that Debo is coaching at. Period. He's not that good of a coach. And Lane is not a good coach. Lane is a fantastic recruiting mercenary and mercenary himself, which results in wins. He is very good at winning football and calling plays and doing all that. That he's very good at coach. I should have to think that he's an actual coach. That would make me very sad if that was the case.

35:03LSU is very good, but what was surprising to me in this one is was actually Levit being healthy and running around so much saved them so much pain. Without that running and ad living ability, I don't know if the score is as catastrophically lopsided. So it's going to be lopsided, but not that bad. I think actually the difference in this game was Clemson being unprepared, having no o-line whatsoever. Lane calling plays and Levit ad living on the run. Those were my biggest takeaways, which of all that LSU fan, I don't hang my hat on right now because of a lot of that can change week to week. There was a good win. It was an impressive one. Did it everything right. But I'm not thinking to myself, now we're going to win the Nadi. I'm thinking to myself, that was a very good game one because of those things. I'm going to need to build off that. I know that person that's at the comment of like, oh, I can't wait to see how they downplay others. You're beating Clemson. Whoever put that comment early in the show. Yeah. You're welcome. You're welcome. LSU was awesome.

36:03The delay at the beginning wasn't rain. It was God crying because Lane Kippen is trying to ruin college football is what I initially thought. And then you know, when Lane, at halftime, he was like, we have pro players. I was like, you know, I've never wanted to have a beer with yet put somebody so much at the same time as Lane Kippen. He is just when you think you hate him. He says something that's so freaking cool. You're like, God, you know, I just picked a lane, either be the worst or be the best. But he undoubtedly LSU is going to be really good. Now will this chemistry carry over into the rest of the season? We'll see. I think part of this is also Clemson is really bad. I saw somebody in the comments and Clemson has the 16th rank roster. That is, I don't know how definitive those rankings are. Chris Vazina is from here in Birmingham. He's a good kid. He's a good player. I think a lot of people though were kind of surprised that Clemson offered him to see

37:04him in starting this position. He had no help. Have you all seen some of the video and some of the offensive line play on Clemson? There was one where God literally turned to the side and let somebody in. I mean, it was unbelievable. Sam Levit is a thing. He's a problem. Yeah. In a league, there's going to have a lot of good quarterbacks. He may be the best. LSU's just got dudes all over the place. Again, the hard thing to do when you have that many good players is keep all the egos in check. So we'll see how that goes. But right now, if people work, I thought people were nuts for picking LSU to win the national championship. I don't think they're nuts anymore. I'll tell you, because if LSU can keep some of this up, they're going to be held to deal with. He had real quick, Paul Feinbaum, his thoughts when I saw him on ESPN yesterday. He said, we spent all off season saying, I think, Gellyshuis, kind of an 8 and 4, 9 and 3 team. They're going to be good, but maybe not quite there. He said his perspective changed. He said, I'll put him in that championship contending category now.

38:05It's a long season. It was one week. But kind of interesting, that it seems like if we're talking at 10 and 2 or better, maybe they are in that territory. But again, it's a long season. It's really early. Before Steven takes over and gives us the best analysis of a solid, I do need to say one thing. Have they decided to fire the offensive line coach at Clemson yet? Because when I saw that video of that tackle that completely missed a dude, I don't know if that was the kids fault at this point. That does not feel like it's the kids fault. Because he literally walked up. He turned and he's just kind of dancing to himself. It's like he was an NPC. He was literally just doing whatever and the dude in the Blair. He may need, I hate calm people's jobs, but that's one of the situations I'm like, come on, bro. He did miss it. He did exactly what it looked like he was supposed to do. He just stood there. If I just move out of the way, maybe he'll be confused and be like, wait a minute, there's some play going on. But he wouldn't trick and then he destroyed the quarterback. Oh, God, it was so bad. It was bad. All right.

39:06So my thoughts, everybody's been waiting on that for those kids. Okay. LSU's going to be good. They're going to win football games. Lane's a good coach. I'm going to win 10 games a year at Ole Miss. That is the baseline for what I'm saying. Okay. LSU's going to be fine. They're going to win games. He's the most competitive son of a gun that you can ever meet and he is going to do whatever's necessary for LSU to win games. My opinion on that and how he left Ole Miss, just picture this LSU fans. Okay. I'm a fan of Ole Miss and for 60 years, we have said wait until next year, wait until next year. And when next year finally got here, one person tried to just take that for himself and ruin that. How would the Ole Miss fans do you expect them to feel whenever that happens? Okay. So that's our background. What's going on? LSU dominated that game. Absolutely. I don't know if there was more than one player for Clemson that could start for a top half SEC team. I think Westco is the guy. I didn't see anybody else that could do that.

40:08So this is synonymous to me to Ole Miss playing Wake Forest in 2024, to where it was just man versus child in the game. You won the game, you dominated the game. Now I want to say, you got to need to be careful about overreacting about what's going on because there could be a kidney trial type situation developing because that was an absolute circus in Baton Rouge. So I think they're going to be good. I don't think they're going to win the national championship. And despite Ole Miss barely beating a ranked group of team and you dominating Clemson, I still don't think you're going to beat Ole Miss in September 19th. But as you know, LSU fans, if you're watching this, I will be here on Sunday because I'm always here on Sunday. Yeah. I saw somebody say that Steve won't show up. Steve will be there. Even if the Ole Miss loses by 30 or wins by 30. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Steve, you want to just throw your whole argument. You said you'd be there Sunday. It's Monday. And so you're here on Monday right now. I'm not here on Sunday.

41:08Yeah. Anytime. If I'm not here, I wasn't at the Squab Show this week because my internet went out. That was the only reason I wasn't there. But yeah. My story. My story. Yeah, actually texted Gordie ahead of time. He did. If Ole Miss had lost last night, would you earn an FB out today, Stephen? No. I would have been here. I would have absolutely been here. Yeah, it's interesting too. I mean, here's the thing too. The thing that very much worked in LSU's favor on Saturday night. I mean, I was there. Home Field Advantage is a difference maker in Tiger Stadium. It just is. In two weeks, the game is in Oxford. Home Field Advantage will be a factor that night. How much does LSU handle it? I will say I was very impressed with talking with a lot of people. They said, how much lane learned from Sabin and just the attention to details so much so that last Saturday, they literally had a dress rehearsal for the game. They practiced walking down the hill. They practiced walking to the stadium to the exact minute that they would be doing at this past Saturday, even so much so that at half time of their walkthrough, he did the sideline guy interview from the radio.

42:11Just insane to every detail, but maybe he's learned. People want to bring up and a lot of these stories that came up about lane 10 years ago at Alabama and all this. No one's denying his past. No one's denying. Can we say maybe this guy's learned from a lot of his mistakes and maybe now he's just in a spot at LSU that everything's going right for him so far. We'll see, but I don't know. He gets so much hate. He just seems to be a point now where he doesn't care. He's just going to embrace it and roll through. He doesn't care. I mean, he's the hot yoga. He made him get over it, I guess, but I got to bring up this comment from Rooney underscore VR Sam Levitt going to eat goldings D for breakfast. He can be in there and who's the winner in that scenario? I haven't seen like this good for anybody. Yeah. Sorry. I mean, that one just threw me off there for a second.

43:14Yeah. Wow. Jason left. I don't know what to do about it. It is interesting though. I mean, you know, you do wonder. I mean, it doesn't feel like Ella should all miss the past few years of not, I don't want to say shootouts, but like we've had, it's been a kind of a back and forth a lot of times. So again, you know, if Ole Miss's defense is leaky, guess what, the offense is still going to be really good. So. Yeah. I wouldn't say leaky after he read that comment. I think we should be not be leveraged. It's going to be a war. Somebody in the chat asked if he could bring his nine year old kid to the game when he treated respectful. Yes, he would be treated respectful. But I will say this, the grove that day is going to be a war zone. It just is. It's all that day is going to be a war zone. It all depends on different groups. There's different tailgating groups. If you're hanging around the fraternity guys, you miss, guess what? You probably don't want to be there. If you're an old guy, they're going to yell at you.

44:15Why did we start talking to Lane Kiffin and everything that is happening right now is off the rails? Oh, just probably a section is amazing. I love y'all. Chat, y'all amazing. Oh my god. You didn't price for that game's $550. So anybody in the stadium is probably going to be all right. But if you're looking for trouble, you're probably going to find it. But in, by the way, I do find it ironic that LSU people are worried about Lane Kiffin bringing treated well when he goes back there. When anybody who's ever been to Tiger Stadium, and I love going there, been there a million times, it's a lot of them. It is one of the treasures of College football. But I remember in 1998 playing them when they had Kiffin fall, Galibon ended up winning on some last-second stuff. Before we were going to win that game, I'm talking eight to nine to ten-year-old kids were coming up, shooting us birds, telling us all the things we were going to eat for breakfast. And it was just, I mean, that's part of it. So I mean, I don't think LSU fans should have the right to say, well, I hope they treat Lane with at least a modicum of respect.

45:19Because you know, that's your thing. It's okay. We were at dinner at a restaurant in Baton Rouge on Friday night, and there was a nine-year-old kid at the table next to us who asked his mom and dad, we're doing jello shots tomorrow, and my wife is like, are they putting liquor in them? Like, probably. It's just in the water down here. That's what they do. Yeah. When I was on staff going to the game, in Tiger Stadium in like 2004, 2005 and 2006, two of those years we went down there. You would drive through campus when the bus was going in there, and you would look out, and there would be like a 90-year-old grandma, the nine-year-old kid, and the father all flipping off the bus as it went by. And it's just what it is. Yeah, I don't think LSU would be there. That's 54-17. Go ahead, Clint. No. Well, you said something interesting in me, Gordon, and it's wild because the second half, Trinidad Chambers had three throws that were very explosive and very good against Louisville.

46:21But the rest of that game, he was not accurate and are on point. He was missing receivers. There were two picks that should have been picked that were dropped. He was missing low and skipping passes. He was getting flush out of the pocket. And last year he was getting flush out of the pocket, looking downfield and making place. He wasn't doing that in the Louisville game. Now, I think it's because he doesn't have Lane talking to him on the sideline and Pete Golding is doing that and other coaches are doing that. That's fine. But are we so sure that this is an explosive offense? The run game was okay. Louisville had a far better run game. And last. They scored 31 points in the second half. I see offensive co-player the week came from that game. Yes, they have an explosive offense. They had a bad first half. That's fine. Again, it's Louisville. It's turning the champs. Right. Louisville. Right. That's true. And you could get defensive all you want. This offense is not what it was last year. Turning that champs is not who Lane Kiffin had a better offense than Ole Miss does this

47:23year period. There's no way to fight that at all. And if you think they have a better offense this year, I question that thoroughly. So when we say shootout, yeah, this is what Ole Miss can win the shootout. But Ole Miss, last year they ran the ball. Turning that champ list had one of the lowest throwing attempts of all SEC quarterbacks last year. When he threw, he was very deadly, accurate, very deadly explosive. If they're relying on turning the champ list to throw more, in aerate offense, more with more throwing, teams that threw the ball more last year were not playoff winning teams. Teams that threw the ball less because they were efficient on run. They controlled. And then they took deep shots and they hit like old miss did last year. But like Lane did for LSU against Clemson, that's the recipe. So if we're hoping turning that champs are going to come out and air mail wins, that's a bad recipe. I don't want my team doing that at all. Well, real pro guys, I did want to show a little love to some of the other teams we didn't talk about.

48:23So let's kind of run through these real quick. Clint, just give me your quick assessment on Georgia. Stockton look great. Nate Frazier look great. Anything else we need to know? Two questions that we had all off season. Who are the playmakers going to be on offense? You can take all the wide receivers off of Georgia's team and we're going to be just fine. The tighting room runs five deep. It's incredible. Freak athletes all to play. Second thing that we had, pass rush. Can we fix the pass rush? Chris Cole, Kirby smart talked about them all off season that he was a different beast. He's a different beast this year. PJ Dean, true freshman came out of the scene as well. If this was an actual game, I get his Tennessee state. Well, let's just say hypothetically it wasn't actually this would have been the highest ranked pro football focus pass rush grade that they've ever given out. It was incredible. Those two questions were answered by me as far as a development standpoint. Now let's go do it against actual teams. And I think 15 in a way with that. 15 different dudes caught a pass for Georgia. I mean, that's yeah, I get your play backups, but that's a lot. That's a huge amount. Again, Gunner Stockton came out.

49:24Did not see anything after half the running back room. Nate Frager had three tuts on four touches. Just incredible amount of elephants of lines going to push people around. This Georgia did not, but last two years Georgia did not do this against lower competition at all. Like it was it was a close game. It was kind of a, oh, what's happening here? There was no questions coming out of this one. We did what we needed to. It was an exposure syndrome that we've had in previous years. I got to say Kirby smarter. The fact that you decided to take on a spread for the first time, like whatever since you've been there. Yeah, they rarely come on those big numbers. Jay, give me a quick thought. I don't know you. I thought the run game Lloyd of on. Look pretty good. Yeah, a lot of running. We 50 of our 59 plays were run out of 12 personnel or more. So yeah, we got a pretty deep tight in room too. That's kind of the thing that was the focal point and that actually worked. They worked a lot on the running back room because of the tight in room to make sure that

50:26they could in the running backs. We had 170 yards rushing in a game that we were supposed to have 170 yards rushing in. So we did all the minimum stuff. We got to shut out even though technically they could have scored nine, but that was kind of the whole allure and the greatness of playing at home against the lower team is you terrify the kicker to where they miss field goals. I was like one of the things that you're supposed to do. Lastly though, I say it's a change for real. Like one of the leading receivers in the in the conference returning. He returned. He only got the touchdown but returning that punt for a touchdown was amazing. We shooketh the punter after that. Like the punter got leveled on that touchdown and after that, his next punt went seven yards. So obviously we can be intimidating and that's something that I feel like is a good thing for this team. And now we just got to be consistent and go to Michigan and hopefully they don't add time to that game. Hopefully we should put it away in the first quarter. I was about to tell you, Jay, you need to be careful. They do their best work and extra time. They've affair.

51:26I saw the audience five and a half and everybody was texting this one. Go why is it only five and a half? That should be 10. I mean, it flew up. What it was? It opened two and a half Michigan and it's been hovering at one and a half Michigan because you know, it's home game. It's supposed to be that. But as soon as everybody in Vegas saw this game, saw that Western Michigan game, it flipped to five and a half to six and a half. I've seen seven and a half somewhere. That's a wild flip. And if you get multiple chances all the time to try and score again, yeah, I'm taking Michigan. I mean, there are many chances as they need. I don't care if it was the right call in the end. And maybe it was, they have lost a lot of public trust. I can tell you that that was just God awful. In the moment. And it was a bad look and it really could have put a cherry on top of a pretty bad weekend for the big 10 really. You know, just one thing is kind of funny on this is I hear they might put a

52:31super secret camera in instead of the clock. They might look for holding penalties and pass interference. So they can get Oklahoma that way and just trust me, bro, you did it. Yeah. Just a few other ones here. Real quick. Texas beat Texas day 59 seven. Arch look good. James Coleman look good. Ryan Wingo was awesome. Run game look good. I mean, nothing really. It was as expected for Texas. Will most champ defense look good? A and M, shut out Missouri. Stay 50 and nothing Mark. So really look good. The old wrecking crew defense of an M maybe back. So, you got Luke. We got a Steven is is Billy Bob Thornton we got a Lucas Rob Ringle. We got a J is it is little John. We haven't got one earthquake yet. somebody said look like a soprano so I like that one. I don't think he's in the family. I think he married into the sopranos is what it looks like. The most experienced guy. But Rob Riggle is the first first time I've gotten that. I've used to get Elvis all the time and I just said, I hope I'm not the one that died on the toilet.

53:31I want to be the young Elvis. Real quick, I saw South Carolina people. Yeah, we do have to give love. I thought they look it was Kent State, but but North sellers look good. The run game Matt Fuller, I thought look good. Nick Harbor saw me and Dylan Stewart didn't even play. So, you know, again, I think South Carolina, what you want to see look good, but we're going to have to see they're going to play some SEC games coming real soon. We'll see what the Kendall Briles hire does, but this might be exactly what sellers need it. I just want to say please, please don't say, oh, it was Kent State. Please don't do that because the Mac gave some power for schools a really good run for their money this weekend. So, let's not downplay the Mac because I mean, they gave the big 10 a good run for their money. Michigan State was struggling with Toledo for a while. Nebraska, Ohio was not favorable at the very beginning. So, I just want to say I think even run for their money Western Michigan should have beaten Michigan. Of course, Rutgers. Is you mass-marked?

54:33Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You mass- You took BTA to Rutgers. Yeah. I love it. Yeah. Akron only lost by two to wake forest and their opening drive was called by a fan and a season picket holder. So, so maybe let's rain back the Mac hate because you know, they could very well be better than the ACC, big 12, big 10 at this point. Who even knows? Clint, it's a stormtrooper, apparently. I don't know what that is. I think, I'll wait for the way Gordon. Harrison's name. What are we doing here? It's not a comparison. Gordon, I want you to go read some culturediction areas. And I think what that gentleman is trying to say about me really quick and then come back. But thank you, Gator Fan. You have exposed yourself for who you are. Okay. Two more real quick. Well, we touched on Kamarja Taylor and Mississippi State that they look great. The two I wasn't all in front. I watched Vandy. It was kind of, oh, not pretty against Austin P. Hurlowicz was kind of okay. Jer Curtis did some okay things. The good thing is they get Delaware this week. So they get another tune up game before they get NC State to figure it out.

55:34But I was kind of like watching that game. It was like eight to five at one point. I'm like, what is this? Barkley, but maybe it's the team where the defense is a strength and the offense is going to play catch up all year. But I'm looking more now. Is this a five and seven bandy team post the agopovia that that might be what they are? So yes, yes. And then Arkansas. It was kind of slow. KG Jackson. Okay, some nice passes. The run games stunk. The defense was kind of whatever. I don't know. Ryan Silverfield, again, 134 or 14 against North Alabama. But I thought I thought that was going to be like a 60 to nothing type game to go put on a show. But whoof. Whoa. All right. Well, I think we touched on on every team. You guys get any closing thoughts before we head in the week too? Please, anybody's change of SEC champ change after week one. I'll stick. I said George in Texas at the top at Oklahoma.

56:34Right there with Ole Miss. I think I put LSU in that solidified in that second tier that they could. I can make an argument for them. Yeah, I still pick Georgia right now. I mean, just based on the experience at quarterback specifically and the tight ends, obviously. And then the schedule. I think that really helps Georgia a lot. Texas while Cam Coleman was okay. I mean, everybody kept showing the almost rather routine touchdown catch he had. I know he had two, but I'm still not. I haven't bought into the archmanning stuff yet. I just haven't done it. So I've I've until he does something that makes me buy into it. I'm still going to say Georgia, but I am bullish on LSU right now. And I hate to admit that. Yeah. That my biggest question is does anybody think LSU pops up and becomes part of the SEC championship now? I have to give them some respect on that. I mean, their running back room seems to be a lot more loaded, which is really surprising. Like Hayden Durham's probably their fourth or fifth back and he rushed for 1200 yards

57:35over the last two years. I got, wait, what? Like how did he fall from grace that fast? Even though that was too really bad team. That's the thing with with Lane at Ole Miss too. It felt like he plays the best guy. It's not a well, this guy we recruited, this guy we paid. Like no, way the best men win. And that's what it seems like. I mean, Harlem Berry's even probably third or fourth string. So it's like a rotation. It's very interesting. I want to see if Levit keeps this up though. I'm still terrified by his health. I've been there. Tehran, by the way, I'm curious about his health. I think Oklahoma went out after week one as well. That defense is legit. Was there a mouse knowing on somebody's wired? What? I think that was Clint Typing. Let's put Typing, yeah. Clint's using one of the old school type riders. What is your car prider for the hearing impaired? Ah! Look at that. Look at my favorite. I can't handle it with all my heart. Oh, that was good. That was good. He said for the hearing impaired. We too was going to be interested. We got some fun games coming up here in the SEC. So I'm actually excited.
