Season 3 Ep.68 Grace Draws the Line

0:00Hey there everybody, I'm Jordan Hansen, host of Daybreak Devotions, simple truths for complicated times. I think we can all appreciate the fact that Jesus was able to show mercy to the woman caught in adultery. She would surely have been killed on the spot had he condemned her like everyone else wanted to. But once she met Jesus, her past no longer had control. The same can be said for us. Once we turn our own lives over to him, our past is no longer who we are. The Bible says in John 8-10-11, then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, where are your accusers? Don't even one of them condemn you? No Lord, she said, and Jesus said, neither do I, go and sin no more.

1:02Jesus knew she was in the wrong. He still showed her grace. He gave her instruction to change her ways. God's grace is not an excuse to continue doing wrong. The line in the sand is drawn by Jesus. Grace on one side, your past sin on the other. His instructions are to cross over into grace and don't ever look back. And remember, God's not the problem.
