Season 3 Ep.247 Homesick for Heaven

0:00Hey there everybody, I'm Jordan Hansen, host of Daybreak Devotions, Simple Truths for Complicated Times. Feeling homesick is tough. Missing the place where you know you belong? Feeling out of place where you're currently at can make everything seem a little off. Things don't make sense. Places and faces aren't familiar. If you sometimes get that feeling of homesickness without any kind of explanation, allow me to explain. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5-6, so we are always confident even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies, we are not at home with the Lord. That feeling of homesickness is your soul longing for the presence of God.

1:04Humans were designed to commune with our Creator. Sin broke those lines of communication. Our spirits can once again be one with God because Jesus restored that connection and when he returns, we will be allowed back home with our Father in Heaven. Until then, without Jesus, we will meander around this life, feeling just a tad off. We were not made for this world. I can't wait to go home. And remember, God's not the problem. He's the answer.
