Seahawks' Thomas Ready to Fill Bryant's Shoes

Free agent Saiani Rodney Thomas II from the Indianapolis Colts is stepping up, alongside current player Ty Okata to fill the gap in the secondary. Thomas starred full-time for the Colts in his first two seasons, 2022 and 2023, before shifting to a back-up role. He held his own on the field, but the team chose a new direction, which opened the door for him to join Seattle. New head coach Mike McDonald builds a defense around the best fits, giving chances to anyone who shines in practice. Thomas is thrilled about the Seahawks' tight-nade brotherhood, where players celebrate every big play together and lay it all out for each other. In his rookie year, Thomas allowed a strong quarterback rating of just 62.9 when targeted. His second season saw that climb to 97.9, but he still grabbed two interceptions while giving up only two touchdowns.
