5:14There's some really cool art installations going on. I think at Union Station, where the Amtrak station is, some of this is funded and connected to what's going on with the World Cup. And Seattle trying to put its best foot forward and getting some art out in the world. Anyway, I saw the Mariner's score when I walked in. And I was like, oh, cool. Like, they got back on track. And then I literally woke up this morning because I didn't check it again. I was like, come on, man. You really gave up five runs in the ninth. You really did that. 7:14So, so so so. I wanted today to kind of do something that I teased yesterday and I never end up having time for. I wanted to go to look at what other people are predicting the Seahawks are going to, who they're going to draft. We haven't really done that that much this year. We did that a lot last year. But we've got. Dan Brugler has his full seven round mock out there. Came out a few days ago. And so I want to take a look at that. Um, we have also got, um, Melkhyper Jr. The the the kind of, I guess the goat some people would say. I think the goat is appropriate with Melkhyper because I think it serves. In both meanings of that term. Sometimes Mel has been like the best, you know,

8:15to really make the draft something. I think he's been the goat in that regard. He also, um, has been a goat in terms of like some of his selection, some of his draft grades. His freak out last year about Shadoor Sanders falling and how he still is defensive about that. So, um, we'll do that. We'll look at some of these mock drafts. We'll see. I haven't looked at all of these. I'm going to react to them in real time with you all. We'll talk about it. We'll do some mock drafts ourselves. Um, before I get there, uh, yesterday I did the show on consensus. And where John Schneider has been relative to consensus. There was a comment on that, uh, YouTube, uh, video, you know, it'd be cool to see this for the Rams and see how like some of the other teams have done. That's why I'm doing the show a little bit later today because I was like, all right, fine. I took that. I ran with it. And guess what? We've got a new tool for you. This is the Seahawks, um, since 2016. How they done it against consensus. You've got the positional summary, which I, I think I fixed in terms of Robbie Utz being a fullback listed as a running back in here versus a tight end. Got some of the interior offensive line and tackles fixed up. And you can click on any specific position group and see the biggest reaches versus consensus

Oh, and yes, you've got the little Sean McVey screaming into his play sheets Easter Egg there. So this is the Rams and the Rams have been an absolute killer in the draft recently. And this is a good example. Again, that consensus isn't like the truth, say, or you don't just pick based on consensus and win. The Rams have been going pretty far off consensus in most cases.

13:34But you can kind of look, again, you can go through all their positions where they've had biggest reaches. And it's interesting. Cornerbacks, a position that the Rams have had a little trouble with. And yet it's not necessarily the place that they've done the biggest reaches. Edge is. And interestingly, I think, yeah, I think this got and got that one wrong. I'm going to have to do that because I think it's a mismatch with the wrong Byron Young from Las Vegas. I know all these intricacies now because I've been in this data too much lately. But you can go through and look at that. You can also go through and look at these different drafts and who they picked and where it was relative to consensus. So you can do that for all the teams out there. And there's John Lynch freaking out. That's there as well. You can see the 49ers, man. They are reach, reach, reach, and every single year. So yeah, they have the special teams reaches. We'll remember Jake Moody.

14:41So yes, they've reached quite a bit. And you can see kind of their biggest reaches and deals. So I'm not going to spend more time on this, but did want to let you know draft.hackblogger.com slash consensus. If you want to play around with that. Okay. Back to it. Back to it. So I see this super chat. Let me put that up there real quick. The Mariners find new ways to hurt me every week. It's not just every week. I think it's almost, it's not even every day. It's like every inning, every at bats, every pitch. It's a rough life being a Mariners fan. It really is. I love this specific team. I love the guys they've got on it. But man, they make it tough. They make it tough. All right. So let's get to looking at some of these mock drafts. All right. Let's start with the who's my goat. Like he is the guy who is, I think, the best draft analyst

15:48for what he does. I'd say Daniel Jeremiah is up there, you know, it's terms of guys that I really respect. But Dame Bruegler, who's been on the show a bunch. We'll see even get Dane on next week. And he has done his seven round mock. And we can kind of put this up there. And I will scroll through this with you all. Let's see if is this. This is not a good way to view it. I'm trying to think of a way that's not so I can probably make that work. How does that, how does that work? Does that look right? Is that good enough? Yeah, I think that's, I think that's good enough, right? I think we feel good about that. So I'm going to scroll through and look at who Dane had for. Let's see if I can make this a little bit bigger. Let's try that.

16:52All right, I'm going to save that. Oh, didn't really make much of a difference. Whatever. So we're going to scroll through, scroll through, see interesting thing. Now this is a seven round mock, by the way, again. So this is who we're going to go through every pick, but we're not going to go through every pick for every team. Interestingly, he's got Jeremiah Love going number seven to the commanders that is dropping down a little lower, does make it a little bit more tempting, but Kendrick Falk is an interesting guy. Like a lot of people have him going higher and higher. This is a guy who is an excellent run defender, but not a good past rusher. And he's a little bit like Michael Williams last year for the 49ers. It would be really interesting if he goes that high again. You know, Dane's got him going here. Number 11 overall to the dolphins. I mean, I don't think he's necessarily a great fit for the sea ox at 275. I think Jared IV can fit that role. Anyway, I don't know that they need another

17:59275 pound edge, but that's just an aside. Kenyan Sadeek going 14. By the way, he's got Jordan Tyson going to the Rams. I think I'd be okay with that. I think the guy that I really don't want to go to the Rams, like Omar Cooper is a guy I really like at receiver. There's a couple other receivers. I wouldn't like to go there. I really don't want Kenyan Sadeek to go there because I think he is really dynamic, but they have a lot of tight ends. So maybe it wouldn't make sense for them to do that anyway. So we kind of go down, down, down, Dylan Thineman at 19 to the Panthers. There's Omar Cooper going to the Steelers at 21. You've got Mesador going to the Chargers at 22. I'm going to make Neil Warren at 24. TJ Parker, an edge that a lot of people talked about for the sea hawks at 25 to the Bears. Malachai Lawrence all the way up at 26 to the bills. This is a guy that was like a late second round pick before the combine. He's really helped himself. He has the 49ers

19:04drafting a tackle. I think they should. I hope they don't, but Caleb Lomo going from Utah, going to the 49ers. Chase Basantis has had a big glow up, man. That guy has been climbing draft boards. I've seen a lot of mocks with him in the first round. He has him going 28th overall of the Texans. Denzel Boston from the Huskies going to 29 of the Chiefs. Chris Johnson also climbing a lot of draft boards. The cornerback, a lot of people have mocked the sea hawks going 30th to the Dolphins. The Patriots taking Blake Miller, the tackle. Then he's got Colton Hood, the cornerback going to the sea hawks. What he says there is Seattle Interest Draft weekend with just four draft picks. This spot is a prime candidate to be dealt. If the sea hawks stick and pick a cornerback and edrasher make the most sense given who will be available, Hood would offer ascending cover talent. Now, my sea hawks draft board, draft dot hawk blogger slash board. By the way,

20:08I'm going to be adding a little navigation to all the different tools so you can find them all a little easier. Don't have to remember all these specific URLs. But if I go to Colton Hood, in that board, he's relatively high on the list. Actually, not true. Where does he fall on this list? He is number 12 overall on my big board, which by the way, I updated yesterday with new consensus data and new measurables data. So we actually have a lot more measurables information up there. But I like Colton Hood. I like Colton Hood. I like him specifically as a press corner. I think he's a good man corner. His zone coverage grades are not that high. So this is where Colton Hood falls a little bit down at least my draft board for the sea hawks. But I really noticed that he

21:14super patient. If you watch him press, he like the receiver will take two or three steps sometimes before Colton Hood moves his feet at all. And his patience is I think really interesting and a good sign for a corner that I think is very confident in his ability to react and to blanket receivers. So I do like Colton Hood. I wouldn't hate this. I think he's very, it's also like he's a dog. So I wouldn't hate this pick at all. Interestingly, Avion Terrell, the corner back from Clemson goes right after him in this mock. I kind of like Terrell a little bit better for the sea hawks. I'm looking at my draft board does not like Terrell better. He has it all the way down at 22. But he's a little bit lighter. I think because of his hamstring, it didn't test well.

22:15I mean, either one of those guys, I'd be pretty happy with. All right. So we're going to keep going down. Down, down, down. Trading Stoops, by the way, is skyrocketing up a lot of boards. The cornerback slash safety from Arizona. Zion Young at 42. He's got Armason Thomas and gave Ackas the edges, 45, 46. The Angela Ponds going 50th overall to the lines. I think that's around where he's going to go. And I would not be surprised to see him go to the lions who picked up an undersized Brian Branch that fell for no good reason and is an all pro player now. So interesting. He's got Kaelin Rutledge going 50th overall. He's got a manual Pregnon down at 55 to the Chargers. Like if he goes down to 55, the sea hawks better move up and get that guy. I would love that. He got manual Pregnon and Jennings Dunker back to back of 55 to 56. Jadarian Price all the way at 59 on this to the Texans.

23:20So then he's got Keiron Crawford, the edge from Auburn. Who I do like, I like Keiron Crawford. Going to the sea hawks at 64. So Colton Hood and then Keiron Crawford feels a little early, but I do like him. I think if Price was this close, I think the sea hawks might try to maneuver to get him, but that's where he's got him as a second round pick. Let's see what he has for third round pick. She scroll through here and AJ Halsey who's met with the sea hawks going to the Vikings at 82. He's got Dale and Everett cornerback going to the Rams at 93. I can see that. He has got the sea hawks taking Mike Washington Jr. at 96. I could be okay with this. I don't hate Mike Washington Jr. I don't. I also don't love Mike Washington Jr. My draft board

I had my gouting board here and I was doing something looking at running backs yesterday. Let me see if I have that. I have this view I came up with, which is

27:30there's a few different ways to look at this view. I'm going to share this with you all so you can see this. You're not going to be able to see that. That's for sure. Let me go to this view and let me zoom in. This is a list of running backs. I'm sorry, I'm going to make it even bigger. Hopefully, that is visible for you guys. This is a list of running backs. All the running backs in the draft that are eligible. I've got specific things I'm looking for. I want to see their breakaway percentage. They have 10 plus yard runs greater than 20 yards per contact. Yards after contact per attempt greater than three. I wanted to make sure they had enough zone rushing attempts

28:32and I wanted to have mistackles forced greater than 20. Currently, this is sorted by breakaway percentage. Robert Henry, Jr. Keon Owens. These are some small school guys. Then Jeremiah Love is high up there. Chip Tranem from Toledo, who's met with the Sioxes high up there. Mike Washington, Jr. is up there. This is one of the things Mike Washington, Jr. does bring to the table. Jadarian Price is a little further down this list. If we go and we look at mistackles forced, I like this number because if you look at Ken Walker in the NFL, I've been looking at this number. He has tracked close to Saquon Barkley even in years where his overall numbers were not impressive. He's been able to force a lot of mistackles and I think that's an indicator of a very, very talented running back. If you sort it by mistackles forced, look at Ketron Allen from Penn State. He's third

29:38on this list and tops for big schools. He has more mistackles forced than Jeremiah Love. Ketron Allen 57 mistackles forced. Jeremiah Love had 56. They're basically the same, but I do really wonder if we're sleeping on Ketron Allen. And if you go to my Sioxes draft board, it's picked him as the second best fit for the Sioxes after Jeremiah Love. So I do wonder, like, are we not giving Ketron Allen enough love? I've watched his film. I like it. He is not the most dynamic guy from a speed perspective, all right. But his, his avoided tackles, this is the 57 94th percentile, his elusive rating, 84th percentile, his rushing grade, 97th percentile, his rushing yards, 96 percentile, his yards after

30:40contact per attempt, 80th percentile. So I mean, I think Ketron Allen's a guy to keep an eye on Jeremiah Love, you know, right there. Then you keep going down this list. I mean, Demand Clayborne has forced more mistackles than Mike Washington Jr. Jonah Coleman is down there as well. Giderian Price pretty far down there. Now this is an unfair one for Giderian Price because he did not have as many rushing attempts. Like he was the backup running back. So this is a counting stat, a volume stat. If you have 100 or 200 more rushing attempts, you are going to force more mistackles as opposed to a rate stat, which is percentage based off of your attempts. So I wouldn't hold this against Giderian Price at all. But anyway, let's get back to Mr. Bruegler and what he's got in store for us. So I don't hate this,

31:42not my favorite, not my favorite, but I don't hate it. I'm going to zoom in even a little bit more. Okay, so let's scroll over. Well, yeah, whatever, that's fine. So see, ox getting Mike Washington Jr. Let's keep going. Let's keep going. All right. So we don't have, see, ox don't have a fourth round pick. They don't have a fifth round pick. So we get all the way to the sixth round. And he has got the sea ox at pick 188 taking Robert Spears Jennings. I Jennings, I don't know who that is. I'll be very honest. I don't know who that is. So let me look up safeties on my board, see where Robert Spears Jennings shows up at 19th on the board. He is 201st on the consensus big board. So this is around where he should go six foot two 205 pounds big guy 32 and a half inch arm length had a ran a 4 3 240. Is that right?

32:54Let's take a look at that. Robert Spears Jennings. Let's see here. 4 3 240. That is fast, dude. That is, well, I didn't trust my own board to have the right data, but it had the right data. So he's an athletic dude. What Lance Irlein wrote about him round five was his pick. Tier starter with NFL traits has a size and toughness of a pro safety. Quick to dive in and fill in the run near the line. Sound tackler. Plus coverage tools, but lacks feel and man covers and suffers from a lack of awareness playing from depth. Probably a special teamer backup kind of guy. We're in the sixth round. So that's fine, but interesting athlete. Did not have not spent time on Robert Spears Jennings. So that's one. All right. So that's

33:55Dane has the Seahawks again taking Colton Hood, Karon Crawford, the edge, Mike Washington, Jr. The running back and then Robert Spears Jennings, the safety. So three defensive picks and one offensive pick kind of matching who the Seahawks lost in free agency, right? Safety and Kobe Bryant, cornerback and Rick Woolen, running back in Ken Walker, edge in Boyam Afe. A little bit too on the nose for me, but yes, sure. Okay. Let's look at Mr. Kuiper. Let's look at Mr. Kuiper and see what he's got. This was released as a two round mock. Thankfully, we won't be going through all that many rounds again and make sure you guys can see that you totally cannot. I'll zoom way in. See if that is better. I think that's pretty close to good, right? Right. Okay. So let's take

34:59a look at, let's take a look at who Mel has going. And we're going to just scroll through this pretty quickly. Well, he has Jeremiah Love going forth overall. It makes more sense to me. Jordan Tyson, he's got a little higher. He's got Caden Proctor very high up the tackle from Alabama. He's got Machigh lemon going the Rams. I kind of want that to happen. Machigh lemon supposed to be pretty good. I have not spent a lot of time on the receivers to be honest. There's a few receivers I've looked at, but the top of the draft, I don't know, don't have a strong feeling about him. So Dylan T in a minute, 18, Emmanuel McNair Warren at 19, Denzel Boston all the way up at 20. That's pretty interesting. He's got Jermad McCoy, the corner going 24th to the Browns. I mean, if McCoy makes his way down there, I mean, that's pretty tempting. I think he's going to be a very good player. Zion Young at 25, Kendrick Falk at 26. So you got the big difference. Like,

36:07you have Bruegler at having Falk at number 11. Kuiper has him at 26, has the 49ers draft and it tackles same as Bruegler, different player. He has Colton Hood going 29th overall. He has the Seahawks drafting, Jadarian Price. Says Seahawks to make every pick count with four total selections, fewest in the league, picking at the end of each round. I originally considered projecting Arizona to trade up to this spot simply because the Seahawks would welcome any draft capital. But I wasn't convinced we'd actually get an individual trade like that involving a quarterback pick. Instead, Seattle stays home and closes that round one with our second running back off the board. Honestly, I don't think the Seahawks or the Cardinals would care about trading in division at this point. Those two teams, those franchises are very far apart in all sorts of ways. And if John Schneider gets a good deal from any team to move down from 32, I think he will seriously consider it. Jermad Price at 32, I've been pretty clear. I think this would be a very bad

37:13pick. I will say this about Jadarian Price, like everybody is so convinced he is the second best running back in this draft. And I've been watching and like like so many of his runs, he does not get touched till he is past the line of scrimmage. And so I was having trouble really granting him the credit for the run, the runs that he was getting, the yardage he was getting because it just seemed like he was not having to do much other than run and run through big holes. I've watched a lot more of him. I see it a little bit more. I have to be careful of not getting groupthink. It's okay if I see him differently. I'm okay with being different than other people. That's not the issue. But there's a lot of people I respect that have spent a lot of time on it, and I wanted to really really spend more time looking. He does have fantastic vision. He does have a specific trait that is underrated in running backs, which is he does not lose speed

38:19when he makes a cut. He is full speed. And when he makes a cut, he maintains that speed. I think he is able to make those cuts very fluidly. I think the combination of his full speed cut and his vision does make him a really interesting back. So I'm starting to see it a little bit more. I would love to see some situations where he has to break a tackle as opposed to just avoiding a tackle. I did see some examples of that. So I've warmed to Giderian price. If they took him at 32 overall, I wouldn't like it. I don't think I would kill it. The way I've said before I would kill it, I don't think I would kill it at this point. But it does feel to me like a needs pick more than a value pick. I don't think Giderian price is

39:23worth the 30 second overall pick. I think he is more likely someone that if you get him in the second round, if you were to trade back 10, 15 spots, whatever, that's around where I think Giderian price should go. But I don't hate it. I don't hate it. So that is Kuiper's first round pick for the Seahawks. He's got Chris Johnson in the corner back at 43. I think he's way off. I think he's way off. You've got, where is he? Mike Washington Jr. going 49th overall. You've got Emmanuel Pregnon going again, 55th overall. Another, that's pretty similar. I think they both had him going way late. I think Pregnon is. If they're not going to take one in the first round, I wouldn't be surprised if they take one in the third round or maybe if they trade back, take one in the fourth round. But yeah, I mean, he's six foot, 182 pounds, ran the 442 as as Mel Kuiper said, 39 inch vert. His zone coverage grade 69th percentile, his zone forced in completion rate 20th percentile. Has a much more compelling north to south athletic profile and for teams in search of physical volume backs within grain running instincts. Allen is a favorable selection. He delivers

1:00:12punishment in contact. But his yards before contact per rush corroborates his vision, efficient footwork, and cutting ease. Allen's willingness as a pass protector and lead blocker. He's often is an ideal non-explosive volume back who will seal the field early and often. Now, it's interesting that they say non-explosive. I mean, he, in my little thing we were looking at before, his K-Tron Allen had a 40.4% breakaway percentage. That's pretty good. So, you know, not the most the fastest guy. But he is now a Seahawk based off of this draft. I wait and wait and wait until we get to round six. I don't, did we trade our six-round pick? I can't remember if we did. No, we didn't. All right. Here we are at pick 188.

I had almost a thousand yards as a receiver at Navy, which like that doesn't happen. So I'm very curious to see where he goes, but I think it's even just like a past catching running back is very good. And then, you know, I think a guy coming from Navy, you can expect some physical development in a way that maybe you wouldn't expect at other schools just because of the rigors of the training they have to do in cardio compared to explosive movements, which is the NFL. Okay, so now I think you guys are able to hear that. Thankfully, I thought that's kind of interesting, right? I think when you're picking in the sixth round,

1:05:39and a guy like that becomes available, that's an appealing pick. Eli Heidenreich, I think that's one I would go for, to be honest. There's some other names on here, but just to have a difference between this draft and a bunch of others, let's go ahead and take Eli Heidenreich. And this is a pretty interesting draft that we just ended up with, guys. Avion Terrell, Jennings Dunker, K-Ron Crawford, K-Tron Allen, and Eli Heidenreich. So you get the corner back, who I think is a first round talent in the second round. You get Jennings Dunker, who can step in and be part of competition and guard. K-Ron Crawford at Edge, K-Tron Allen, running back, you know, from Penn State, and then you get Eli Heidenreich, who can be a wide receiver or running back, run after the catch kind of guy. I'm kind of curious where on my
