Seahawks Lose Key Players, Eye Jihad Ward for Defensive Line

They held on to wide receiver Rashid Shaheed and Cornerback Josh Job, even with both drawing big interest from other teams. On the flip side, the team lost key starters like running back Kenneth Walker III, defensive in Boya Mayfay, Cornerback, Kobe Bryant, and Cornerback, Rick Wullen. General manager John Schneider kept some solid depth pieces, including linebacker Drake Thomas and safety Josh Jones. He also brought in rotational players from outside, such as running back Emanuel Wilson, safety Rodney Thomas, and Cornerback Noah Igbenigin. Schneider is known for snapping of value deals, and the second wave of free agency might bring some smart chances his way. Starting Boya Mayfay, to the Cincinnati Bengals, has left the Seahawks fin at defensive end. Right now, they only have three reliable options there.

One smart, under-the-radar move could be signing former Tennessee Titans' edd rusher, G-Hod Ward. Last season, he logged the sixth most snaps among available edge players right behind stars like Jalen Phillips and Daniel Hunter. The Titans' weak edge group gave him more chances, and he made the most of it. Pro football focus graded Ward with six sacks and 47 pressures.
