Pilly was not tendered before the deadline, but quickly agreed to return after helping the team's defensive line last season. Earlier this year, he faced a tough cut from final roster spots, then earned his way onto the active roster through the practice squad, playing in 13 games. He logged a career high 152 snaps on defense, plus 42 on special teams, including a key forced fumble against the Washington commanders. That effort helps Seattle all the way to their Super Bowl victory, and now Pilly stays put as part of the defending champ's front.
