Seahawks Let Free Agents Walk, Hall's Tag Sets Market

The Seattle Seahawks let the franchise tag deadline pass without using it on any of their top unrestricted free agents. That includes running back Kenneth Walker III, cornerbacks Rick Willen, Josh Job and Kobe Bryant, plus wide receiver Rashid Shaheed. General manager John Schneider stuck to his usual hands-off approach with these players. Here this week, at 1 p.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, the deadline came and went. Across the NFL, teens are using the tag less often, too. Just six players got tagged over the past two off-season combined, which is way down from most years since 2010. Leaguewide, the near-jets tag running back Breeze Hall. The Dallas Cowboys took wide receiver George Pickens and the Atlanta Falcons used it. On tight-in Kyle Pitts, the Indianapolis Colts put a transition tag on quarterback Daniel Jones. Hall's deal sets the running back market at about $14,300,000.
