On September 7th, alright, let's talk about the Seahawks defensive backfield heading into their season opener. It looks like safety. Nick Imanwari is still dealing with that ankle issue he had surgery on back in July. He was limited in practice again on Monday, and that's not exactly a great sign for him being ready for Wednesday's game against the Patriots. He actually missed all of training camp practices, still recovering from that ankle injury that's been bothering him since the start of last season. Meanwhile, another starting safety, Tai Okada, is also looking questionable for week one. He's missed the last two days of practice, so his availability is up in the air. On a slightly better note, Julian Neal, the other starting safety, was a full participant for the second day in a row, despite dealing with a quad. Injury. This situation brings the Anthony Bell back into the picture. He resigned to the practice quad recently, and he actually stepped up and started two games last year when Imanwari was sidelined with that same, ankle problem.
So, he's got some experience feeling that third safety row. On the offensive side, there was some good news. Guard Anthony Brafford, who had been dealing with a knee issue, was upgraded to full participation after being limited on Sunday. That's a positive move for the offensive line. However, wide receiver Tori Horton and offensive tackle Josh Jones are still listed as limited with hamstring and knee injuries, respectively. On the flip side, Titan AJ Barner and Running Back Immanuel Wilson are both good to go, participating fully. Stay locked in with NFL News Today, AI-powered updates.
