Seahawks Consider Low-Risk Edge Rusher Dante Fowler

Well, another ex-Cowboy ed rusher, Dante Fowler, just visited the team this week. At 32 by next season, he's bounced around the league but stays healthy, not missing a game since 2021. Fowler links right up with Seattle's defensive coordinator Ad Endured, who coached him in Dallas from 2022 to 2023, and earlier with Atlanta in 2020. That chemistry could make him a quick fit as the Hawks build out their edge group. They lost Boya Matae in free agency, so depth behind Derek Hall, Lawrence, and Uchenin Nwasu is a priority. Head coach Mike McDonald calls the defensive plays and loves versatile guys who can mix it up on all downs to keep opponents guessing. Fowler's solid is a pass rusher but struggles against the run, which might cramp McDonald's disguises. Still, with plenty of cap space, his market value sits around $5.1 million for next year, making him a low risk ad.
