The show follows a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con, who restarts as a private investigator in crime rate in South Florida. He handles weird cases with help from his journalist ex, her police detective wife, and a mysterious woman from his past, who might save or doom him. The cast includes Janely Ortiz, Kevin Rankin as RJ's former cellmate, and bar owner, a loisiest wish-a-can, Adelaide Clemens, and Bevin Brew, as Detective Melody Melabrayo, who is married to the journalist, and enates that his co-stars rave about Speeman on set. They call him a total professional who always knows his lines and brings fresh energy to every scene. Working with him feels fun, with lots of laughs and those little unspoken moments that make their characters click. Speeman first charmed fans as Nick on Grey's Anatomy in season 14.
