Republicans have floated bills to fund key areas like TSA, emergency management, and the Coast Guard, but Democrats keep blocking them unless. Immigration rules change. The legislation goes further by ending so-called sanctuary cities, wrapping up penalties for illegal border crossings, shielding law enforcement from, backlash, and cutting money to certain non-profits seen as breaking the rules.
