S5 Episode 4: Unveiling Unique Soundscapes with Hannah Abrahim
About this episode
Get ready to be transported into ethereal dreamscapes with our guest, Hannah Abrahim, a 23-year-old first-generation American singer-songwriter and producer hailing from Los Angeles. You may recognize her vocals, songwriting, and arrangements from various projects, including Nickelodeon's "Monster High" & "Dora the Explorer," Ūla's hit "Futon" with 30 million streams, NBC's "Brooklyn 99," and MTV's "Siesta Key."
Hannah takes immense pride in her ethnically diverse background, blending her "Egyptiarican" culture to craft a brand new sound influenced by her parents' favorite Salsa and Arabic music. As a quickly rising artist, she's making waves in the R&B/Neo-Soul/Pop scene, drawing inspiration from artists like SZA, Ariana Grande, and Amber Mark. Her music stands out both musically and lyrically, offering unique perspectives and addressing vital yet often uncomfortable topics like mental health, sexual violence, and racism.
Hannah is not just a vocalist but also a multi-instrumentalist, playing piano, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and violin on most of her recorded music, amassing over 634k streams on Spotify. She graduated from USC's Popular Music Performance and Music Industry Programs in 2022, mentored by the iconic Patrice Rushen.
When she's not working on her artist project, Hannah writes music for other artists and media companies, serves as a session/background singer for renowned artists, vocal coaches at Interlochen Center for the Arts' Summer Camp, and is a member of the professional social justice choir Tonality. Currently, she works at Kobalt Music in Synch Licensing Administration.
Hannah is on the verge of releasing her debut solo artist EP in Fall 2024, and until then, you can follow her musical journey on all streaming platforms as Hannah Abrahim and on social media as @Made4Music. Don't miss her upcoming shows at Art Bar LA on 2/1 and at the House of Blues Anaheim, where you can catch exclusive snippets of her upcoming EP! 🎶✨ #HannahAbrahim #MusicJourney #UniqueSoundscapes
