新北市共有4座水資源回收中心，其中「三鶯水資源回收中心」.是國內首座結合綠地景觀公園、污水處理設施地下化的水資源回收中心，而園區內建築物僅占4％，其他開放綠地空間高達96％，讓這座污水處理廠不僅是污水處理廠，更是永續生態休憩公園。
除此之外，新北政府水利局正規劃另一座位於三峽北大特區內的污水處理廠釋出綠地空間，未來將與旁邊萬坪公園作串聯，提供民眾賞景、散步及休憩使用的新景點。
