劉炯朗是國際知名電腦資訊學者，畢業於成大，麻省理工學院電腦博士，曾任教於麻省理工學院及伊利諾大學，也曾擔任過清華大學校長，並在竹科IC之音主持談話節目「我愛談天你愛笑」，涉略領域廣泛，從科學、文學、歷史、科技發展，最近一本著作為《大人的社會課》。
