Officer Ryan J. Railsback has been a police officer with the Riverside Police Department for 25 years.  He is currently the department’s Public Information Officer, a position he has held for the past several years.  He liaisons with the media to release important information to the public and press regarding the activities of the department.  He also manages the department’s social media platforms and mobile app.

In addition to his role as PIO, Officer Railsback also coordinates the police department’s juvenile intervention and prevention program called Opportunity with Education, a 12-week program ran twice each year.  He also assists with various other programs and events conducted by the Community Services Bureau, and leads the planning for Riverside County’s annual Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony & Run.  Ryan has been a member of the Riverside County Law Enforcement Appreciation Committee and the current vice-chair, along with participating in other organizations that benefit law enforcement and juvenile diversion.

Officer Railsback is married with three adult children and a soon-to-be grandson in the upcoming months.
