Legend says Báthory believed she'd be given eternal youth for bathing in their virginal blood. On the contrary, she would go on to live long in infamy. However, this tale has been questioned by many researchers who believe as part of a conspiracy against her, Báthory’s crimes were most likely exaggerated.
