On November 18, 1978, more than 900 members of the Peoples Temple died after cult leader Jim Jones ordered a coordinated act of mass death that stunned the world.

What began as a utopian experiment in faith, equality, and escape from oppression collapsed into paranoia, control, and unimaginable tragedy.
