About this episode
"As leaders, we are called to be a role model to others. We want to show them that self care is important so that they can do so, too, without feeling guilty about spending time and money on themselves."
I went on a retreat last week and it was amazing. I used to feel guilty when I took time out for myself, but now I realize that it's actually really important. As leaders, we need to be role models for others and show them that it's okay to take care of themselves.
So this week, we're talking about what gets in the way of self-care, and how we might embrace the habit instead. It's not always easy to make time for self care, but it's worth it.
In this episode, you will learn:
1. How I used to feel guilty about taking time out for myself, and how that has changed (mostly).
2. The importance of self care for leaders.
3. How to make self care a habit, and some tips for doing so.
