way today, but obviously talking about Iran out of the gate. I want to play for you some audio. This is from Senator Chris Murphy. I don't want to play the whole thing. Chris Murphy, the Senator from Connecticut, those of you up on WICCWTIC. I'm sorry, this is your Senator, but let's listen to this for just a moment from the floor of the Senate yesterday. Six Americans have already died for an illegal war that no one in this country wants. 900 to 1000 people in the region have died. U.S. embassies all over the region are under attack. Thousands of Shia Muslims in Pakistan right now are protesting. A Shia insurgency targeting the United States in the works. Iranian missile and drone attacks have hit targets as far away as Cyprus. Oil prices up by 9 percent. Gasoline prices. Their largest one-day increase in 20 years. Natural gas prices up 45 percent. The region is in chaos. American consumers are paying the price. And for what?

We still don't even know the reason for this war. Now, he claims we don't know the region for this war. Let's go in the way back machine to February 18, 2020, the Washington Post. Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut confirmed Tuesday he met with the Iran's foreign minister in Germany over the weekend, drawing criticism from conservatives, including President Trump, who suggested the Senator may have violated an obscure law that prohibits U.S. citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. In a sprawling medium post, Murphy explained that he sought out Muhammad Jafidzaraf at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday to bolster diplomatic relations between Iran and the United States, which have worsened in recent years. Murphy said the pre-imminent reason behind the meeting was simple. It's dangerous not to talk to your enemies. I have no delusions about Iran. They are our adversary responsible for the killings of thousands of Americans and unacceptable levels of support for terrorist organizations throughout

the Middle East. Discussions and negotiations are a way to ease tensions and reduce the chance for crisis, but Trump, of course, has no such interests. Y'all, this is a man who six years ago could admit Iran is our adversary. They've killed thousands of Americans. They've supported unacceptable levels of terrorist organizations through the Middle East, and he doesn't know why we're fighting this war. He doesn't want to know why we are fighting the war. He doesn't want to know what's going on. He, he, he, Chris Murphy is pretending to be clueless about something he's long otherwise known, and it's not just him. As I said yesterday, I, I, I do think it's very interesting. The Democrats appear to be painting themselves in a corner where let's just say this goes well. The imagine, if you will, that the Donald Trump operation in Iran, which so far appears

to be going well, winds up going well, and we are able to affect some level of regime change that is positive in this direction. And I, I, I, it just, I am remarkably interested in the people who can't seem to do that. I am remarkably interested in the Democrats who can't seem to find a way out of this. This is Alexandria Cazio Cortez. So, what's your message to Americans who are concerned about another forever war in the Middle East? Well, I think, first and foremost, the reality that we have here is very clear. The vast majority of Americans are against a war with Iran. Two things can be true at the same time. We can acknowledge the brutal reality of the Iranian regime and their murdering of protesters and targeting of people. And we can also know for sure that a forever war will not resolve that issue. We've seen what,

what's happened in other areas of the Middle East, in Libya, in Syria, and beyond, of course, the war in Iraq. And we are already at multiple American service members that are dead for in illegal action that the president has pursued with no plan out. They don't know why they got into this war. They're talking about four or five hundred different reasons. I can tell you why we're in a war with Iran and it is very simple. Iran had other reactors and centrifuges. They told the American government weeks ago they had enough material to make 11 nuclear weapons. They were on the verge of having a missile and drone capability that exceeded the defensive capabilities of all of our era partners, Israel and the United States combined. It was either now or never to strike them. And so we struck them. That's not hard. Has the administration been a little unclear? Yeah, they have. But I think every American generally

understands as well. Iran is bad. Again, Chris Murphy from 2020. I have no delusions about Iran. There are adversary responsible for killing thousands of Americans at unacceptable levels of support for terrorist organizations to pretend Iran is not some level of imminent threat. Is I think bizarre? And then you've got Thomas Masi out there who at this point I have even long defended him. I'm ready for him to leave Congress. Have we learned nothing from the laundry list of wars and regime change experiments? We sparked across the Middle East that have racked up a total of at least eight trillion dollars of debt in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan. A sustained war with Iran will not stabilize the region. It's already ignited the region. How has it ignited the region? In Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, these people are all burning Iranian flags and waving American flags. They're on the side of the United States. Again, the talking points

have not been updated. This isn't a forever war that we know of. The people are not radicalizing in the streets against Iran. The people are marching in the streets against Iran. And yet the people who do not like the President cannot see it. The people who bet against America cannot see it. There are a wave of people who root for the United States. Last, they put America last. They screamed their America first and they're not. They're rooting against this country. They're rooting for the Mullahs. They want Donald Trump to fail because they think if Donald Trump fails, he'll be easier to beat and they worry that if he's successful, he'll be harder to beat. That's what a lot of this is. These politicians, they can't just root for the United States. They have to root against the United States because they're convinced based on old thinking that they're going to get old results and those old results are going to be bad for us and it will be fantastic for everybody else if the United States loses.

This is the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal. When the Marines headed toward the beach on the Tararro atoll in 1943, things didn't go well. The tide was lower than expected. So the landing craft were hung up on a reef. Marines became easy targets for Japanese defenders and hundreds died that day with more than 3,100 killed or wounded in the four-day battle. We shuddered to think what the reaction would be in Washington at the Battle of Tarawa was fought again today. The New York Times wrote after Tarawa in 1943 that quote, we must steal ourselves now to pay that price going forward. Today it would be calling for Franklin Roosevelt's impeachment as would a parade of outrage right wing podcasters. The history seems apt given the remarkable pessimism in the median political class about the US bombing campaign against the terrorist regime in Iran. Five days into the war you'd think from the coverage and commentary the United States is losing. You really would think that it's losing except it's not. Now that the war is underway and

our troops are in harm way our perhaps old-fashioned view is that we ought to hope for American success both military and strategic. The world will be safer if there's a better regime in Tehran that isn't been on the destruction of death, on the mission of death to America and maybe before anticipating or cheering failure we could wait and see how it goes. As I mentioned yesterday we have dominant air superiority within Iran right now. The reason we can fly the B-52 over Iran right now is because we've wiped out their capacities and then there's this in the Wall Street Journal as well. Iran spent decades constructing underground bunkers to shield its vast missile arsenal from destruction, less than a week into the war with its two most powerful adversaries the strategy is beginning to look like a blunder. US and Israeli warplanes and armed drones are circling over the dozens of cavernous bases striking missile carrying launchers when they emerge to fire. Meanwhile waves of heavy bombers have dropped munitions on the site apparently in two mean the Iranian weapons below ground in some locations. Satellite imagery taken in recent days

shows the smoldering remains of several Iranian missiles and launchers destroyed in US and Israeli air strikes near entrances to the missile cities as Iranian officials call the subterranean sites. Tehran managed to suit more than 500 missiles at Israel at US bases and other targets in the Persian Gulf region since the conflict began this past Saturday although many have been intercepted according to governments in the region. There have been fewer large salvo since the first days of the conflict assigned that the US Israeli attacks are degrading Tehran's ability to strike back. We're hunting Iran's last remaining ballistic missile launchers to eliminate what I would characterize as their lingering ballistic missile capability Admiral Brad Cooper the top US commander of the Middle East said in a video Tuesday we're seeing Iran's ability to hit us and our partners declining. Tehran built these massive underground tombs for their missiles

and their missiles now lie buried or blown up by an aggressive military action by the United States and Israel and domestically politicians who hate Donald Trump or hate Israel are rooting for disaster. Part of this is the growing belief that China is superior there are on both sides of the aisle people who believe the Chinese are so dominant that the United States has to accept second place or that we should accept second place it's just incredibly wild to me to watch so many voices who underestimate the capabilities of the American military are rooting against the United States are hoping for disaster to hurt Donald Trump. One of the articulate defenders of the president and Mr. President I hope you take notice of this your former vice president.

Tehran and their security forces. Two final questions for you do you believe the president knows when to get out of Iran? I don't know that I would say that we're in we're we're taking the fight to around right now but I understand the concern the American people have but look that this regime in Tehran has the blood of American soldiers on their hands some 2000 American soldiers that were killed by by explosive devices that were provided by the IRGC during the Iraq war and also in Afghanistan. Make no mistake about it. Iran has breathed hatred and death to America for nearly 50 years. And no one's defending Iran. It's in our interest to create the conditions where the people of Iran can reclaim their freedom. Again, the former vice president of the United States who Trump is not a fan of right now

is willing to go on television and defend the president of the United States in this policy. And what's so notable are the number of people who don't like Trump on the right who are willing to criticize the effort and criticize the president all for their gain hoping that by betting against the United States they may come out ahead. What if they're wrong? I hope they're wrong and you should hope they're wrong as well. Stop betting against the United States and stop betting against American troops at war. So I don't know if you guys have seen this. There is a libertarian woman from I want to say Montana who on Twitter wrote why is every Iranian woman dressed up like a hooker? Why is every Iranian woman opposed to the Iranian regime dressed up like a hooker? That was

basically her tweet. Melissa somebody wrote this. For those of you who don't know and I assume most of you do, the Iranian women are required to wear burkas. They're required to be covered. They're required to wear headscarves at a minimum and they're encouraged to be completely covered up with their headscarves and long sleeves and long dresses and no skin showing are kind of a requirement by the Iranian regime. And many of these are beautiful young women who have longed to be much like the West up until 1979. Iranian women were allowed to be free and have rights and work and have jobs and drive cars and not have to cover up. They could wear skirts, dresses, whatever they wanted to wear. And the Ayatollah imposed this on them and you can be killed in Iran. There are men whose job it is to rape virgins. I hate to be blunt with you but you need to know this.

I'm not making this up. Do you know why men are actually part of their employment requirement as to rape virgins? And yes, it is part of their duties with the Iranian law enforcement. Do you know why? Because it's against the law under Islamic law to kill a virgin. So in order to kill these women, they have to be raped. So they're no longer virgins. So they can be killed. I'm not making this up. For some of you, this is wild. You've never heard this. You don't understand this. This is the Iranian regime that we are blowing up right now. And these women who have to live in fear and are repressed are beautiful young women who are dancing in the streets and laying bare their skin in their hair in defiance and protest of the Iranians. And for you people who look at them and say they look like whores and hookers, they are risking their lives in ways you are not.

You have a comfortable existence and they do not. They could be killed for these things and you will not be killed for these things. You should at least try to understand what you're dealing with. Now let's say you're dealing with your computer and you don't understand it. You can call 404 compute and get vision computers on the line and they can understand it for you. It is Eric Erickson here, the phone number 877-977-37425. If there is one thing within the conservative media space, I think I get criticized more than anything else on. It's that I often call out bad behavior and people are like, give us the names, give us the names. I don't like to give the names because I think there are behaviors are bad but I don't want to single out individuals because in large part I have good relationship with these people. I just disagree with them and I may politely, privately reach out and suggest this, I don't think this behavior is good but you know I've had it with some of these people and some of them are people I've had good relationships with. I need to play you some audio and I regret doing it but I must. And this feels very much to me like it is clearly

Israel's war. Mark Levin wanted it, it's his war, Ben Shapiro, Lindsey Graham, Miriam Madelson, that's obvious. They're the ones who've been pushing us into that's Megan Kelly who seems to think that Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro and Miriam Adelson, all Jews plus Lindsey Graham pushed us into what is Israel's war. The other day Megan Kelly dismissed the deaths of American soldiers claiming essentially that their lives were wasted for Israel's war. I am deeply concerned with the growing anti-Semitism on the right and Megan's trying to dress it up as being an anti-Israel, not anti-Semitic. She refuses to condemn or call out Candace Owens over her conspiracy theories on Erica Kirk. She's picking sides and then claiming

that anyone who disagrees with her has censored her and now there's Tucker Carlson, who Megan Kelly is friends with, who is claiming that a sect of Judaism called Shabbat is behind the military strikes on Iran. Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump belong to Shabbat in DC and Kushner helped lead the US negotiations before the strike. So Tucker's rant about Shabbat, it's not only preposterous, it's dangerous to Shabbat buildings and it targets related to Shabbat, but also it clearly is a shot at Donald Trump's family. One of the people killed on Bondi Beach in December, the terror attack on Jews there was a rabbi who was a Shabbat event. Tucker claims that this whole effort to go after Iran is to start a holy war for the purpose of destroying the Al-Aqsa mosque and the dome of the rock and the old city of Jerusalem to rebuild

the third temple on the same side and he claims that this is Shabbat. Now Shabbat for those of you who don't know it is a it is Messianic, a Jewish Messianic movement, but also it's considered very peaceful and it is an effort to call Jews to reconnect to their faith. Candace Owens has targeted Shabbat as well and turned it into a villain in all of her anti-Semitic grants. My buddy Joel Mulberry writes this, Shabbat is a loosely knit collection of synagogues and related community and education centers each run by a rabbi and his wife who stay in a given community or neighborhood typically for life. Far from being structured like say the Catholic Church, Shabbat House raises its own funds. Tucker's logic for his outrageous allegations is that Shabbat wants to bring about the building of the third temple known in Hebrew as the bit Hamidash, but how does Shabbat actually bring about the building of it through acts of kindness by doing good deeds in order to merit God rebuilding the Jewish Holy Side. In fact, Jews have

prayed for the rebuilding of the third temple every single day, since certainly after the destruction of the second temple 2000 years ago, it's literally part of Jews daily prayers. It has nothing to do with tearing down an Islamic holy site, let alone starting a holy war. It's a prayer asking God to return us to the elevated state of spirituality that existed during the time of the temple and more importantly for him to send the Messiah that Tucker would turn ancient Jewish prayers into some kind of sinister plot that is responsible for a very real and ongoing military campaign should be shocking, but it's not. Real people and actual families go to Shabbat's synagogues, little kids across the US and other countries attend Shabbat schools and preschools. It takes just one person already on the fringe to be incited by Tucker's rhetoric to go try to kill these people. This is insane conspiracy theory theorizing from people on the right from Megan Kelly using a very large platform to blame the Jews in Israel for this war to Tucker Carlson as well. We see a festering anti-Semitism on the right that's no different than the anti-Semitism

on the left and is equally dangerous. It is dangerous, deadly stuff. So many of these people are rooting against the United States, trying to blame the Jews in Israel for everything, and you know, there is a distinct subsurface current on a lot of the rhetoric from these people on the right and the left that is actually very pro-China. In fact, so many people speculate that Tucker's on on Qatar's payroll and stuff. I don't know who he's who he's getting sent any money. I suspect he lives an isolated existence in Maine now. It is only surrounded by sync of ants who tell him the same thing. He's become increasingly unhinged. Megan Kelly has gotten into that world. Making these people are making lots of money off this stuff. Some of this is audience capture. They're captured by the trolls online who are funded on a Pakistan or Iran. They see their traffic. They see their buzz and they keep it going because these are the things that get them talked about and they want to be talked about. They don't have

ideological convictions. They have buzz and they have cloud and that's what they're chasing. Cloud chasers, but behind the scenes, there are people out there, frankly, who genuinely and sincerely believe that China is on top. In fact, there are a series of stories out there being circulating in the press about how this attack on Iran actually emboldens China. Now, never mind that the Chinese are announcing the expected slowdown of growth in China. Never mind that the Chinese are today telling Chinese manufacturers and oil suppliers that they have to restrict the export of oil and diesel and they have to be mindful of the resources they're consuming. Never mind the Chinese have been in a depression while everyone else has been dealing with inflation. China's been dealing with deflation. Never mind all of that. There are so many people in American politics within the Republican Party and the Democratic Party who have convinced themselves that this is China's time to shine and they have decided by choice to have the United States decline

and they see this military excursion in Iran as emboldening China. They see it as helping China. They have twisted facts and logic to try to suggest that China is going to come out on top. So many of these people are rooting for China. I frankly think of so many of the questions about Atari money and by the way, Atari money is a real legitimate concern, but a lot of it is cover for China. I don't know that these particular people are on anybody's payroll. I think they're captured by their audience and they're chasing fame and clout and any press is good press and if you mention them, it helps them and that's one of the reasons I'm so low to mention them. But I got to tell you when I when I hear Megan Kelly come out and she's attacked, remember she was on my show a while back. She was doing some. She had Tucker on one night. She had Ben Shapiro on the next night on on live stage events and then after all of this is over, she lights Ben Shapiro on fire. When he criticized as Tucker Carlson and and it defends the United States on stage and

suddenly is all in with Tucker, I just I think this is about chasing cloud and fame. And I think it poisons one's soul to be so willing to chase fame to get the buzz and I've lived that life I have to tell you years ago. I was on Twitter at a very infamous tweet that today still haunts me from years ago. I said something very unkind, very not nice. Can't tell you because of the potty words. And at the time, it was oh look, people are talking about me. Oh look, I got a rise out of this person. I don't like oh look. And it was it was destructive to my family. And to me, it for years hung over me that I had said it. And a lot of these people have put themselves in positions where they don't have to worry about that stuff anymore because the more it holds over their head, the more they're defined by it, the more buzz they get, they get

to profit off of it. And I'm glad that it happened to me and the way it did to make me realize that there was an impact on my family in a way that these people's families are insulated from it. At some point though, your soul matters. And being a decent human being does eventually have to matter. And I'm just I'm I really am flummox by these people who are willing to sell their soul if you will over this sort of stuff. It's it's deeply deeply destructive. And to see the anti-Israel narrative and the anti-Semitic narrative, the anti-Jew narrative from these people, it harms the president's relationships with would be voters. It harms the Republican party. It infests the Republican party with noxious people with noxious views on the way it's happened in the Democratic party side. And then on top of that, there is this overwhelming, overarching view that

somehow China becomes the good guy. Now, I don't know that any of these particular people, Kelly or Carlson or Owens have taken this. Although I will tell you, I know for a fact that a couple of years ago and a closed door meeting on Capitol Hill, Tucker Carlson went off on how China so much superior to the United States and China is outperforming us and China is the future. And we are falling behind and we need to be more like China. It was a whole Thomas Freeman thing. I've heard this from multiple members of Congress who were in the room for a closed door meeting with the Republican, what was the RSC Republican study committee that Tucker Carlson was invited to and went off on how much better China is than the United States. And there is this strain among some on the right and a lot of people on the left that China is dominant, China is on top. We should go on and be in second place. Our decline is secure. Their rise is secure. Nothing is permanent in politics and global relations. And we should be opposed to the Chinese Ryan. We should be opposed to the total

totalitarian rise. And it's appalling to see people betting on China. It's appalling to see people attacking Israel. It's appalling to see people attacking the Jews. And we have an obligation to stand up to this insanity. We are at war in Iran because the Iranians are an evil regime who have tried relentlessly to murder Americans. This is Mike Pence again with Caitlin Collins on CNN. Country. I mean, it was October 2024. Some Americans might see that and say, okay, well, that's still how I feel now. And I'm struggling to pay bills, struggling to do that. Why are we at war with Iran? Well, I would say to you, we are at war with Iran because we made it clear in our administration. And it had been the policy of the United States for decades that Iran could never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. But having struck with Operation Midnight Hammer, you witnessed the administration again, engaged diplomatically, not only on a nuclear

program, but also on saying to Iran, you have to end this support for malign influence and terrorism across the region. You have to accept limitations on your ballistic missile and long-range missile program. They refused to do that. And I think at the end of the day, the President, history will record that he made the right call. The opportunity presented itself. And the President made the decision to unleash our armed forces. I think it's going to achieve two different things. Number one, the way we are striking around today, I think, is that designed to degrade or destroy their ability to project force in the region, to threaten the United States, and to work violence against their own people, which they demonstrated in recent months, again, a willingness to do murdering tens of thousands of protesters. But the second thing I think that's going to happen is we have the opportunity. After that, disasters were all from

Afghanistan, where a year later, Russia invaded Ukraine, a year after that, Hamas launched the worst terrorist attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust on October the 7th. I think the United States of America, with our allies in the region, has the opportunity to restore deterrence across the region. And frankly, a message to other nations around the world that the United States is going to defend our nation and defend our own. Amen. Amen. That's well said. Commendable that the former vice president of the United States is out there defending this action and making a good moral case for it. And there is a moral case for it. And it's notable that the Carlson's and the Megan Kelly's and the Candace Owens is the world and are joining so many people on the left, the Marjorie Taylor Greens of the world and the Thomas Massies of the world and the like, to criticize Israel, criticize the Jews and criticize the United States for taking on a country that has killed thousands of Americans. One in six American casualties of war

in Iraq and Afghanistan were the victims of Iranian weapons. They're a rogue regime. They need to be shut down. And I'm glad what's happening is happening. And shame on these people for blaming the Jews for doing what needs to happen. This hour of the program is brought to you by Van Allen Golf. ALLE in VanAllenGolf.com. You can also text toward golf to 33777. Maker of extremely fine golf equipment. I've got a Van Allen Golf putter in my bag. They've got a blade right now. They're getting a mallet designed. I love these guys that I love what they're doing. If you've got a friend family member, love one or you are obsessed about golf, you need to text golf to 33777 and find out more. Now, we got more to talk about. In fact, when we come back, I want to I want to spend a little time on the piece I wrote this morning on international law because it's really starting to drive me crazy to hear so many people out there

whining about international law and Donald Trump shattering international norms. I can't help but again remind you guys that the president of the United States stormed into Venezuela, captured Venezuela's leader who is now in prison in New York City and did it all in like a 12-hour period and upended geopolitical orders around the world, depriving China of more oil. They were now depriving China of even more oil. Now, we're depriving Cuba of oil. The Cuban government is on the verge of collapse. The president of the United States is realigning of the world order in real time. He is becoming one of the most consequential presidents in American history, already probably was, but even more so now. And what we're doing is we have united the Arab world with Israel with the Jews. The Arabs and Jews are united. I can understand why people look at this and say, it's a sign of the end times. I kind of understand why you're saying that,

even if I'm not a dispensationalist because it is really remarkable to see countries that have long hated Israel. I mean, Qatar and Israel have no relations. Israel bombed Qatar what six months ago. And now they're on the same side against Iran. The fact that the president has united so much of the world, all the Muslim countries in the world are against Iran right now except the United Kingdom and France. It's just wild to see the president do this mass realignment. Now, let me tell you about old glory bank before I get out of here. They're my bank and they could be your bank as well.
