S1 EP18 - Harriet Wood - Two hospital births

Today’s episode I chat with Harriet about her two hospital births. Harriet felt like she was being dragged through the medical system with her first child. She went into labour just after 39 weeks and was caught off guard by how quickly her baby was born. Told by staff she was lucky to have had the birth she did, she looked back on her experience as highly stressful and terrifying. For her second pregnancy, she completed a Hypnobirthing Australia program and found the inspiration and confidence she needed to birth her second child, giving her the tools to stay in control when things got out of control with another quick labour.
