Den 21. oktober 1975 blev en 59-årig biografkontrollør dræbt med to skud i underlivet med et oversavet jagtgevær i biografen Folketeatret, Ny Vestergade, Odense, efter at han havde overrasket gerningsmanden til et røveri mod biografens billetkontor, hvor udbyttet blev 500 kr. i kontanter. Forbrydelsen bliver efter en ihærdig indsats af politiet opklaret i løbet af tre døgn.
