Ryan Strome Traded to Flames, Excited for New Role

Ryan Strong got traded to the Calgary Flames from the Anaheim Ducks on Friday for a seventh round draft pick. The 32-year-old center for Mississauga, Ontario, was drafted fifth overall by the New York Islanders back in 2011. He has played for several teams over the years, and this season logged 33 games with three goals and nine points. Strong comes from a hockey family, with his brother Dylan on the Washington capitals and brother Matthew in the American hockey league with the Hershey Bears. He has three young kids, Harbor at five and a half, Quinn at four and a half, and Nash at one and a half. His brother Dylan even wrote a kid's book called Daddy Goes to Work to explain the NHL life to their families.
