Ryan Gosling Meets Meryl Streep in Project Hail Mary

Ryan Gosling stars as astronaut Dr. Ryland Grace in the new sci-fi film Project Hail Mary, now in theaters. He wakes up in deep space on a mission to save our dying son and teams up with Rocky, a spider-like alien facing the same crisis. In a fun twist, Meryl Streep provides a brief, uncredited voice for Rocky during a key communication scene. The cameo happened thanks to producer Amy Pascal, a friend of Streep's, who made it possible. Gosling's character even jokes that Streep can do anything, which fits her talent perfectly. Gosling and Streep first cross pass at the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards. She spotted his crickety, fixed it for him, and just walked away, leaving him impressed by her effortless kindness. On set, puppeteer James Ortiz handles most of Rocky's voice work, with five puppeteers bringing the creature to life. Gosling also acted opposite impersonators of Rocky, including his own daughters, nine-year-old Amatalee,
