Hello and welcome to The Cup, the currently on-name podcast where you put the real in the TID reality and always serve it up to you, pipe and hot, come to us first to quench your thirst. My name is Randy Wilde, your friendly neighborhood drag performer, and how are y'all doing today? Good, lovely, so what's in my cup, I don't know if you can call this a cup, but then my water bottle is water because I just got off of work and rode my bike home, which is a fun six miles. Oh, not six miles. Oh, not six. You know, I'm just crazy like that. And if you want to be crazy like that,

too, I guess, I don't know, weird segue, but if you go up to the key work, that's up to the corner, you can go get your cup mug. Yay, cup mug. Go to that's laundry creations. Etsy.com to go get your cup mug. Also, we do have a cup water bottle. It's not as big as this guy, but you know what, I am going to be getting a cup water bottle here same because it's always nice to stay hydrated. You know what they say, hydrate or die straight. Well, yes. Oh, that's all who I am. And so you are, did you say that? Welcome to look over here. This is the exclusive companion podcast to our UK versus the world recap. I almost said season 18. I almost said season 18. Oh, I did not though. This is UK versus the world. And actually, I really like this runway better than the runway over there. So no, seriously. So welcome. And passing it along.

Anyways, period. I am making a professional background for how to drive a video games. I guess I do have my water with me. And yes, I'm still in dorm. I let out my Stanley. Also water because also I got off work also two hours ago. And I still need it. But hydrate or die straight. Yeah. But your water bottle is chronically bigger than mine. And I'm just like, I kind of need that too. There's a purpose why I get half gallon water bottles. Purposefully, because I forget to drink as much water as I need. And if I drink two to three these a day, I know I'm getting enough water. And I'm also peeing every five minutes besides. Yeah, this is going to be a fun episode if you can't tell by the energy I've ran. All right, let's go ahead and check out these runway looks, shall we? We shall.

There we go. All right. All right, starting off on the reveal yourself runway. Is it wasn't reveal? Yeah, just reveal reveal. I like reveal yourself better. You know, if if you can call me the only Naomi Naomi with a Y and be fine with it, I think y'all can get along with reveal yourself. With, with reveal yourself as a lipstick assassin. Okay. Okay. Starting off with my least favorite, look at the evening. Yeah. The peach dress going into this was actually really cute. I thought that was really cute. And then when it reveal and like the reveal to it was a great reveal. When it went to this, it was just like warm, warm, sad trombone, just sad, sad trombone.

The sad trombone from the it's chocolate. Yeah, because like the dress does not hold up to the makeup and the headpiece that she's wearing. Is it a well-fit dress? Yes. Is it beautiful? Yes. Is it basic as hell? One of the few times I do it with numbers with actually I've been more with modern Michelle Fessage than classic Michelle Fessage because modern modern Michelle Fessage actually do a real lot with as like this is something where it's like it feels like you'd see this at a prom. Like it doesn't feel elevated, doesn't feel drag. It's a great color runner and it fits. So yeah, this is a bag for me at least. Hmm. No, yeah. I will give this a soft bag because again, the first dress, beautiful. But revealing into this, like at least it was a seamless reveal. But I didn't really like this reveal as much. Like yes, it's a pretty color and I do agree with you. It does give prom

dress. But I kind of wish the dress had the floor a little bit. Yeah. But this headpiece is great. Again, I do like the color of this but it is a soft bag like going to this reveal. I was just like it would left me more desired if I'll be honest. So neck up goddess neck down like like junior prom. Yeah, like it's a high ride. I love you. I just didn't really like this dress as much. So yeah. But again, that first dress was amazing. So oh yeah, the first one was cute as well. All right. Going on to our next person. Oh, okay, this was so just so good. Honestly, this was like the only Naomi said that she wanted to give German opera. And she fucking gave German opera. Like like going for the full transformation of even like the feathers

coming off and having like the blood stones on there and the inside of the white corset being red as well. So everything looking so like bloody. And then coming up and revealing the black swan. It was so good. This, this is T. H. T. Chai Tee Grande. Everything in between for me. This is my favorite look of the night because. Oh, period. No, yeah, this is very high T for me. Like my only compliment, I don't know what to call it, my only like small critiqued. It's very small. Like the way that she brought her feathers up like app like when it gets like showing this black dress. Part of me wish like like in this angle, it actually like shapes well, but when she was lifting it up a little bit when she was walking on the runway, it felt like a little uneven to me a little bit. However, like when it revealed to this, I was like, yes, yeah, like when you when you mentioned the German opera, I was like, oh yeah, 1,000 percent. I was like, period. And also like going

into the black tears. And when when she said, you don't even want to know how like the black tears came out. I was like, I think I know how how it happened. So I think I know how it happened. And it's a very well disguised. Yes, very well disguised. And the makeup is so good. And like this look was written by Mozart, I'm fully convinced. You know, this is so good. No, yeah, I love this so much. Godlyn, Godlyn queen of the fucking runway. Honestly, she does like runways are her fucking thing. The show and especially showing off her culture of everyone this season, who I'd say showcases the country they're coming from. The person who's done it the best is Godlyn week after week. We have seen her personality through her outfits. We have seen like in the challenges she shows

her personality. And then on the runway, she shows her national pride and her personality. And it is so fucking good. So good. Like I love that I got the human doll tie dance in there to than like a traditional tie dancer. And just the transition of that was so so beautiful and seamless. It was yeah. No, yeah, the seamless transition from the mass into this. And I was like, where did the mask go? Because like she didn't like throw it out like literally like was part of the F. I was like, Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute. Yeah. So no, I absolutely love this so much. Again, like I'm a sucker for anything like cult like Asian cultural period because obviously, you know, so. And what spread your Asian? Oh, yes. This head piece like period. Oh, my God. Like whenever I see something like reveal and

because like how she revealed it just was I get pure gold, obviously, yes. Now in this lighting, again, I can't tell like it was intended or not, but like it feels like a different blue like in the skirt area. And then it's like a dark blue in the chest. Like I know it's supposed to be the same. It's it is the same. It's the like it is the type of fabric and the lighting. Because this looks it's most like from what I could sell from watching it and looking at this, it looks very much like a brocade, which would be also within line of more of more like East Asian traditional, where as well. And it's just a nice opulent fabric, which will have that multi, that like multi-dimensional shift in how in the lighting as well. So yeah, it's the same. It is the same fabric throughout. It just it just gives this great multi-dimensionalness from the lighting that's there. Yeah. And I should know this because I'd recognize this fabric like here and there. I just like it just couldn't tell with like this specifically, but I can

I can see that. So period. I mean like we're like flying through these because the first ones have been, you know, really good. I don't know if we get some Mariah. So it's it is it a great garment. Yes. Is it fashion? Yes. Does it look stunning on her? Yes. Is it a reveal? No. You can't just come out in a big cloak and take the cloak off and say it's a reveal. I was hoping there'd be like a second part to this. Like another phase. Like because I was like, oh, is that all? Is that all? Is she just took off a cloak? And not even fully took it off. It's all around her arms. You know, it's like she did it as I said, it's a it's a it's a great garment. It's beautiful. It's not the it's just not the prompt. It's not it's not the brief. And I'm like, if she would have

worn this for the cape. This for the cape challenge, I think would have been actually better than the trash bag. Yes. No, I agree with that completely. So it's like, there's a soft bag. So, okay. So here for me, like, yes, it did reveal into something, but at the same time, I was like, oh, this is like, I thought I was expecting more. Like, like you said, I was really expecting more. Like, yes, like, if the original outfit was just like her and that cloak, then yes, and they revealed this. I was like, oh, now would it be a little different if she were if she like walked in that entire cloak and then like, after like walking the front of the runway, and the reveals into this, but that would have been a little better. For me, no, because it's not because it's a it's the reason why I don't count this as a reveal is because it's not a fully different outfit. All of the other reveals that we have seen in this reveal to something

fully different, a wholly different costume, a wholly different look. You know, this is it is the it's she's wearing accessory that then she then that she makes into that she just then wears differently. Okay. She's wearing one accessory one way to a different way. It's not a reveal to another one. Honestly, I would have been happier to see a ruffle coat into this. Like, and it's like I never expect I never want to see like really in modern drag race, see a ruffle coat, you know, I barely like seeing them in bar shows. Okay, fair, fair. Yeah. Okay. But that's why I say it's not it's not on brief because it is still part of the out it's still part of the outfit and why I think this fits the brief better for capes than it does for reveal. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I have to wear a cover from like again, it's still an amazing outfit. Like I love this outfit on Mariah, but was it a reveal? Not really. So okay. So outfit itself tea, but the reveal pulls it back.

That's what I guess for me is just water. I guess that I'll I'll take myself bag up to water. I'll take myself bag up to water because the fact that it's like, yeah, it's not on brief, but she looks stunning. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And it's still not as bad as a virus. Because I was just boring and at this point on this stage, you can't just you can't be boring. Boring doesn't cut it. Yeah. All right. Move it onto Fontana. Now this was a reveal. This was a reveal. I I loved this. I honestly thought that mask was makeup. Oh wow. I honestly thought because how well it was applied, how tight of how well the mask it is. I honestly thought for a good moment that it was makeup. And then when she took it up, I was like, oh, shit. Okay. And maybe it's because I'm watching on my phone. So I'm watching on a, you know,

a small, a pretty small screen. But it was still so good. And then then coming down like going from the oversize suit to the muscle suit, so, so good. I even love the fact of like, and this is for me is like another layer of everything, but for Fontana because it's because she is a non-binary queen. And how the suit itself is also genderless. There's no like, it doesn't have like breast sex on it. It doesn't have a penis on it. It has like just peck muscles and then nothing down below. And I really do love that like, it's even showcasing her body in a non-binary kind of way as well, which I really love. So yeah, this is hot tea. Yeah, this is hot tea. And it's so funny to think about because at the time of filming, talking about the non-binary of it all, and then just recently coming out as a trans woman.

So I was like, oh, this is beautiful. Just seeing that journey go through, I was just like, yes. I was not aware that she came out as a trans woman because I know from time of filming, she said she was non-binary. Yes, correct. But seeing that journey go along this, in addition to this, I'm like, yes. No, yeah. But seeing this body suit, I was just like, what the hell is that so perfect? Yeah. Because like, even the skeleton parts in the legs, I was just like, oh, my God. And then of course, the muscle part of it all too. It was like, period. I need to know who made this because this is like, and then even the detailing of the rhinestones in there too. I was trying to clock this body suit so hard. I was trying to clock it as like an Amazon body suit because you can buy these like muscle body suits on like Amazon

or Timo or any of those like discount sides. You can do that. But they don't look this good. They don't have the stridations. It's like even more so than her just stoning it. It's like if she did get one of these, she then repainted it to look like this. Yeah. It's like so good. Even then, because the heart, you can tell, this was made because of the heart. Yeah. And also, I don't think I've seen a full, because the whole body suit with the head. Yeah. So I was just like, yeah, somebody had to make this, how to make this. So it's like, this is, yeah, this is very, very high T like, oh, my God. Also knowing that that she has since like transitioned even like to to to a trans woman from non-binary, even like showing that more of her taking off the masculinity. And this now just makes it such a more powerful statement too. Like crap. It's got chills. It's amazing.

Yes. All right. Then going to my second favorite of the night, because it really, actually, my third favorite, because it does go Naomi, Goblin, and then Kate. But I'd like, Goblin and Kate to me are like neck and neck on this, because when she first just undid the skirt part, I was like, okay, yeah, it's like that you had something that was knit. And then it came off that way. Cool. And I was looking and like, I saw a dangling thread. I'm like, is it going to come off any further? When's it going to come off further? I thought it she was just done and then had the back come off to this bikini moment. I was gagged. I was like, oh, my God. This is so, so good. And the fact that she knit and crochet this herself. How much time did she, when she first got this, she's starting knitting this when she first got it. Was she already planning on something like this before drag race?

And was like, no, this is perfect. Because the, because the facts that knitting takes time, knitting is a slow process, crocheting is not a quick process. It's a slow process. Like I do it to calm down and to like help quiet my ADHD because it's a slow methodical process. So it's just like the fact that she had this made and it's just so good. It's so camp. It's so just like the bikini came out of the blue for me. I absolutely loved it. And also the knit cap that matches, I also think it's funny as hell. Yeah. Again, the knit cap was so camp and I loved it. It was worth the entire time. Now to me, so it did reveal into something because it revealed the shoe and then when it revealed to this at the very end, it told the story, especially with her.

Again, when you mentioned when she knitted crochet this and then when she even mentioned it on stage to RuPaul, I was like, of course she knitted this, like look at the material. I'm also curious how long this took because I know, like I know people who crochet and they said just making it top will take like five hours. Yeah. So this probably to make it like a day or two. So I can crush, so like that like a bean, like the cap she's wearing. I can crochet a cap within like four to five hours, a full cap. It takes me about eight to ten hours to knit a full cap. So crocheting is a little bit faster than knitting, but still that's the kind of timeline we're talking about here. And so making a full dress and then especially a full dress that is made to come apart. It's just like mind boggling, absolutely mind boggling, and amazing.

Yeah, this was my favorite look of the week because of the fact that like she made this and also like the way that it undid itself. Like I see where it coming from where it was just like because it just revealed the boot first and then the reveal at the very end. Yeah, because that's what it sold, that's what sold me of this being my favorite look of the night. It's again, same. I mean, as I said, it's my second because, okay, so full disclosure, from the age my age is 16 to about 20, 26, my seven, 28, I was not a singer. So good chunk of my early like late teens early adult life was opera. So that's why when I saw the Naomi coming up and having like this old German opera and it was spot on had my heart. And then this look is so camp and it's like everything I love now. And so just like so I think maybe like these two are tied

for my for my number one spot because they're both so amazing but in so very different ways. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, this was a good runway. This was a really good runway except for, you know, one person. And I hate putting it that way but yeah, poor Sahara. And this is also because of a short runway and everything was good. I mean, like we're in and out with this podcast. Exactly. All right, so we'll bring us back over here. All right, thank you so much for listening and watching.
