The blast came from an attack on a nearby provincial governor's office. Windows shattered in the consulate building and staff apartments, and a few employees got knocked around by the shockwave. No one was her badly, and there were no deaths, which is a relief amid the tensions. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the hit a clear breach of international rules on protecting diplomatic spots. She stressed that everyone involved needs to respect those boundaries. On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin talked about the situation with Iran's President Masoud Pzezhekian. The Kremlin confirmed the leaders touched on the wider conflict there. Putin pushed for an end to all fighting, hoping to calm things down and avoid more incidents like this one.
