Ruby Warrington x Vasavi Kumar: Shining A Light On Sobriety & Societal Alcoholism
About this episode
Today’s episode of The Being Human Podcast I got to sit down with Ruby Warrington, the voice behind the term “Sober Curious,” and we really dug into the topic of alcohol.
As you all know, I’m a recovering addict, about to be 2 years sober, so this topic is near and dear to my heart.
Now Ruby is the author of the 2019 book “Sober Curious” and her work has spearheaded a global movement to reevaluate our relationship to alcohol, which made her perspective so powerful to hear. She’s the founder of “Now Age” lifestyle platform The Numinous, and with 20 years’ experience as a lifestyle journalist, Ruby is also a sought-after speaker, book doula, podcaster, and brand consultant, and is known as a true thought leader in the modern wellness space.
In this conversation, Ruby and I get really personal about our relationships with alcohol and how it’s often used to numb deep-rooted pain, along with how to truly explore the ideas behind alcohol use and the things we suffer from that make us want to use it.
This sobriety discussion is seriously illuminating.
