Dr. Zhanel is a microbiologist and pharmacologist who is presently a professor and associate head of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, at the Max Rady College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba Dr. Zhanel is the Research Director of the Canadian Antimicrobial Resistance Alliance (also known as CARA) and is also the founding and Chief Editor of the CARA website.
